Suboxone license

Common Questions and Answers about Suboxone license

suboxone

Avatar f tn t believe me when I tell them they do not have the special training and license to prescribe as with Suboxone. Even the pain specialist I saw believed he would have to have the "special: license". How can I convince them? They all (6 docs) refuse to read the documentation I'd brought to the appointment. Or how do I find a doctor who will prescribe buprenorphine for my chronic, neuropathic pain.
Avatar n tn Jerry...I couldn't agree more with the two Community Leaders who have posted above. Especially since you only take one perc a day. Suboxone is a money maker to most PMD's. Is the dr rx'ing percs a Pain Mgmt Dr with a license to rx suboxone? And this drug is a very STRONG synthetic opiate. Much stronger than percs. All you'll be doing is getting yourself into a huge mess that will be very difficult to get out of.
Avatar f tn NO...Suboxone is a drug to ease withdrawls and combat addict behavior. It should only be used by a Physician and they need a special license to prescribe it. NEVER take it without a Doctors supervision. It can be very dangerous if your currently taking opiates and then ingest Suboxone. Never ever do that.....
2010150 tn?1328545847 ok.... i'm on 10 mgs a day now....still can't get into medical detox place...went to my family doctor today to get something to help with the withdrawals which haven't been bad ...the worst being I have no energy and am mean as a snake..anyways, he has gotten hid DEA license soooooo he can prescribe suboxone....yep, now i'm thinkin i'll get a script for the suboxone ( which he , hisself said we would start then after a lil bit start tapering off that) my thoughts on this are.
Avatar m tn Found out the hard way that this area has Suboxone pushing doctors and are much more concerned about losing their license. I have an extremely high opioid tolerance and have been on almost every kind of pain meds in the past. I finally found the perfect combo to manage my severe, chronic pain with breakthrough episodes: 100 mcg Fentanyl patches every 48 hrs. with 400 mcg Fentora (sub-buccal med, very fast acting).
Avatar f tn I've been on suboxone over 13 years..saved my life..over that time I've cut down from 16mg a day (1 film in a.m. & 1 film before bed) to 6 mg a day (3mg am & 3mg pm...BUT i still get prescribed 16mg a day and i just store them all..incase i ever lose my insurance or the take them off market whatever..i know i'll still have them..
Avatar f tn I have chronic migraines so I have since been on vicodin again and then suboxone to try to get off the vicodin again. The second time, I was on the suboxone for 2 years straight. The doctor wouldn't lower my dose everytime I asked. I finally tapered myself off for the last time and it was a nightmare. muscle aches, nausea, can't stay off the toilet, sweats, hot and cold.
Avatar f tn What happens if you get severely hurt while on suboxone? Just wondering. What if hypothetically (heaven forbid) I got into an accident of some kind and had to be given pain meds like morphine or something at the hospital while still on suboxone? I'm guessing you'd need to tell them first, but what if you were unconscience or something? Please don't think I'm asking this to know if I can get high while on suboxone. That's the last thing I want to do. Seriously.
Avatar n tn that are trained in the program to prescribe Suboxone or Subutex. This is not a regular opiate to where any Dr. with a DEA license can prescribe. Neurologists are not trained at all in this type of medication. I There is a government website that helps locate Drs. who can do this for you. I'm not sure what is allowed her but if you google "Physicians who prescribe Suboxone or Subutex" you will find the samhsa.gov website.
Avatar n tn i used today 10 bags make a bundle i did get it from a doctor but he is a pediatric doctor who has a license to give suboxone and umless they have been through it i never trust them..
1380313 tn?1279118328 t seem to find a way to make it work, then suboxone may be a viable choice for you. However, the key to using suboxone is to get to the core of your issues while you are on it. Like you said it gives you the energy, drive, ambition, etc.
535089 tn?1400673519 Did you know that not every Doctor can prescribe Suboxone. Doctors have to acquire a special license to prescribe Suboxone and go through a short training program so that they are aware of the dangers brought with this drug. Please heed this warning and never use this drug unless it's prescribed by a Doctor who has knowledge with it.
Avatar f tn My Suboxone doctor never asked for a urine test or suggested therapy. He just kept me coming back for those $260 15 minute visits for 7 years. I am curious if the cash only Suboxone doctors are not drug pushers in disguise? Any MD can become a Suboxone doctor with an 8 hour course...
19527380 tn?1479378383 Bank Card, Credit Card, Drivers License, Car, Car Keys and other keys. And he took my subscription drug "Suboxone". I really needed them but he would not give them back. I had a friend go pick up my stuff as i was over 200 miles away, he told her if I was there he would not give me my medicine! Is that leagal for him to keep? I do go to court soon. Is he allowed to keep them? Will i get them back? There was 14 I only took a 1/2 one.
Avatar m tn need to get suboxone when i'm in las vegas for work convention . i'm from Australia and this job is very important and i don't want to used H when i'm there cause from my experience it easy to get H then suboxone. can any one help me?
Avatar f tn Regarding depression , it could be a side effect of the Suboxone. We see quite a few patients that are dependent on Suboxone that have become more and more depressed, that is something you should take in consideration as well.
Avatar f tn I need to find a program that offers free suboxone because I do not receive insurance from my full time job, nor am I eligible for medicare, there is no way I can afford a prescription of suboxone myself. I feel like I have regressed ten years by scuffling the streets for suboxone like I once did for heroin. I want to do this the legal way and not have the possibility of getting arrested for something that I am trying to defeat my addiction with. I desperately need help finding a program.
Avatar m tn m very lucky because he was trained and licensed one year ago to deal with these situations and has a license to issue the suboxone to me. He had me fill the script and wanted me back in his office at 1pm, he wanted to monitor my reactions to the drug. Incredible is all I can say for what he is doing for me. The Suboxone removes the W/D symptoms, at least mostof them, I still have hot flashes and am a bit tired and light headed, but those are normal side effects.
Avatar m tn I was with a friend last night and we got pulled over because the cops ran his license plate and he had 2 warrants for his arrest. I also had a warrant for my arrest for a unpaid traffic ticket. The cop put me cuffs and searched me and didn't find the suboxone at the time. It wasn't until we got to the jail that they found the suboxone but they never mentioned anything about it. I spent the night in jail and they let me go the following morning.
Avatar m tn Contact reckitt benckiser who manufactures suboxone/subutex. Ask about the suboxone assistance program. They'll tell you if your son is eligible for it (he should be) but like flmagi said - there is a 2 patient limit for sub docs so make sure you look around.
Avatar f tn Hi, I just wanted to know if anybody else out there has gone through suboxone withdrawal. I have one person on here that I can talk to, but would like to hear from others that have been through the horror of sub wd's. I am trying to get stable, as I was not dosing properly. I'm doing this on my own, because I am a nurse and am afraid of getting my license pulled. I wanted to go to a DR, but I was told they have to report it.
1428440 tn?1287390379 I am on suboxone 16mg and feeling sort of funny. I have like a fluttery weird feeling may like a jitter in my chest, a little short of breath and I am having a lot of trouble with anxiety. I just started noticing it a few days ago. I am also having a weird feeling in my head. I was vomiting a few days ago and I have the weirdest feeling of this feeling in my head and feels like my heart is flopping sometimes. I have also felt sort of a twinge in my body.
Avatar n tn My friend is in jail just now - he's being prescribed Suboxone as an opiate, and Serequil because they say that he has psychosis and schitzophrenia. (although he never had those symptoms before he became an addict). The thing is that now there has been a mix up, and he's not been getting enough Serequil - now he's rambling, and hasn't got a handle on reality anymore. I think this was possibly brought on by his stress in there at the moment. What to do for the best ?
Avatar f tn Ok so this has been on my mind so I asked out Medical Director (guess what I do for a living) who has the license for suboxone. Without knowing all the details her thought was possily switching to Subutex as it has the Buprinorphine to keep you out of withdrawl but not the Narcan that causes the withdrawal. I don't know if your doc explained the agonist/antagonist thing but Suboxone is both where Subutex is agonist only. Hope this is helpful.
11495479 tn?1418744080 I have been doing meth for about a year and suboxone for 5 years and other drugs for just as long. I have a bad problem. I cant stay sober for long. I was born premature as a cocaine baby, and around the age of 5 i discovered gas, i huffed til 13 and then started smoking weed, and doing pills and drinking. I have been doing drugs and drinnking ever since. So basically my whole life, I havent been sober. I actually find life dull, boring, and have no motivation being sober.
Avatar f tn and if ur sonis addicted this pill sboxone can help but needs to realy wantto stop
