suboxone

Avatar f tn What I need to know is if I were to take Suboxone for a week to help with the withdrawals from the pills and then stop will I go through withdrawal from Suboxone when I was only on it a week? I have researched about Suboxone and I know it is addictive and I don't want to trade one adddiction for another. Also, even though she prescribed me to take 16mg a day, once in the morning and once in the night can I take less?
Avatar n tn Looking for information about a suboxone program, or if another medication eqivalent to it is used in Spain. I am in the Andalucia section.
Avatar f tn Suboxone can only be prescribed by certain physicians who have completed a class on this drug. If you google SUBOXONE you will find information on this drug and locate physicians near you. If you can provide more information about your situation, we would be happy to help.
Avatar n tn the only difference with suboxone and subutex is that suboxone has a added ingredient that makes for a less potential of abuse, and overdose. suboxone is safer and a better choice i believe.
Avatar n tn goolge suboxone with your zip code you should be able to find some
434196 tn?1206385870 there seems to be conflicting information between the two and pregnancy. says suboxone really should not be used, but, subutex is ok.......that's kind of scary...... Nauty............
Avatar m tn This is not new information however it is more than just anecdotal information. It appears that 8 mg of subxone is equivalent to 60mg. Just my humble opinion, it doesn't sound like the best idea to go from 12 to 30. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.
Avatar f tn Hello... So I have a question about suboxone. I started taking 1 mg 6 days ago and have been taking 1 mg each day since, at a later time each day) after a 20 pill a day norco habit for the past several years. (The pill count has risen in that time). I'm planning on dropping down to half that dose and extending it to every 2 or 3 days depending on how I feel and stopping complately after several days of doing that.
Avatar f tn he is addicted to heroin. all painkillers but heroin too. he isnt on suboxone right now. id prefer suboxone (i mean, id prefer HIM to be on suboxone) but honestly, we cannot afford it. methadone is cheaper......suboxone docs want TONS of money upfront...i mean like $900-$1,500 and that isnt going to happen.
Avatar m tn I tapered from 700mgs down to 20mgs because I wanted to start suboxone. There were a few rough parts, but that didnt come until the end of the taper. I was given 30 days worth of take home meds, and during my taper I voluntarily relinquished that privilege to help myself. On the bad days I was forced to get out of bed and go to the clinic or I knew I would feel worse. Looking back it was well worth it! If you have any questions, or need some kind words, post here or feel free to pm me.
239164 tn?1207263007 I am taking Suboxone - 12 mg./day. I suffered a fall recently and x-rays show a fractured vertebra and 3 dislocated vertebrae. Because of symptoms indicating nerve involvement my physician has ordered a closed MRI. I tried to do it on Wednesday of this past week and they didn't get me into the machine to my waist before I freaked out and insisted on being pulled back out. Unfortunately, because of the injury and my symptoms, the physician needs a closed MRI - the opening is a mere 21".
Avatar f tn If you are pregnant or become pregnant while taking SUBOXONE, you should report it using the contact information provided below.* Before taking SUBOXONE, talk to your doctor if you are breast-feeding or plan to breast-feed. SUBOXONE can pass into your milk and may harm the baby. Talk to your doctor about the best way to feed your baby if you take SUBOXONE. 994981 tn?1249564028 re in withdrawals enough to start using Suboxone. The second thing you should know is that when you are ready to get off of Suboxone, you will have to go through withdrawal symptoms then too. However, if you read a bunch of horror stories on the internet about Suboxone withdrawals, don't let them get you too discouraged. I know quite a few people who have successfully tapered off of Suboxone. It's ******, but it can be done. The biggest issue is the insomnia.
Avatar f tn My doctor put me on a taper and instructed me to mix my suboxone pills in water. He is in another state since I moved and I cannot find his instructions. How do I dilute this properly. I have 8 mg pills and am wondering the water to pill ratio so that I can measure my specific doses.
454281 tn?1218210261 I went into detox to get off pain pills. Pretty much a little bit of everything but mostly just vicodin. They discharged me less than 48 hours later with a prescription of 63 sub. and told me to take three 3x's a day and follow up with a doc in six weeks. Now from what I am reading on here that is A LOT. The whole point is for me to get off pills not replace them.
Avatar f tn You didn't trade one addiction for another. You are simply treating your addiction. You made mistakes in the past that led you to that point, but you've already paid for them. The suboxone lets you live each day. You have to change your outlook on it. Don't be concerned with getting off of it. Just enjoy being clean! Sorry for all the tragedies you've suffered, but suboxone helps ensure you have a success story to share. Congrats on your time. Keep it up.
Avatar n tn i can't take suboxone, i had terrible terrible side effects from the suboxone, and I wanted to try the subutex. but I'm having a really hard time trying to find a doctor in KY that prescribes subutex. I know there are, but I don't know which ones do, or what to do etc. If anyone has any information that would help me I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you so much.
Avatar n tn I had been on suboxone for a year and got pregnant my doctor lowered my dose but did not switch to subutex wich does not contain the naloxone that the suboxone has in it I have read that it can be dangerous and was wondering if any one could tell me anything about it
1462755 tn?1286048715 t have the will power to stay off of these. I looked on line and found a suboxone doctor in my area. I went to the initial evaluation today and felt really optimistic about it. I am going to see the doctor tomorrow and will probably be starting suboxone treatment. I am nervous and relieved all at the same time. I will have therapy 2 times a week at the center. I would like to know if anyone has any advice about beginning suboxone treatment.
480035 tn?1222366164 and i really think WHERE you get your information makes a huge difference too, there are 3 websites i depend on for information...learning how suboxone actually works in the brain compared to other narcotics and that it cannot be compared to any other narcotic as it is not a full agonist like all the others are... and why the naloxone is in one and not the other and the ceiling effect it has, there really is a lot this medication does that many are not aware of...
Avatar n tn OC is exactly right, get all the information you can about suboxone, it no miracle and can become a big hurdle in itself. For sure the quicker methods in my opinion are the best option(21days), but in almost every instance if we could just taper our drug of choice the withdrawals can actually be easier to deal with. Its a highly debated topic, some people report little to no w/d's, while other like myself wish Id never been mislead into using suboxone.
