Common Questions and Answers about Suboxone generic availability

suboxone

Avatar m tn Is zubsolv the generic brand of suboxone? I've only ever heard it once before and it's a person on here "ready2befree" I think he took them as well. Hopefully he sees this and can help you.
Avatar f tn Look for generic entecavir.
Avatar m tn As of now there is not a generic version of Suboxone on the market yet. Generic subutex are white and do have some numbers imprinted on them. I don't think there are any prescription meds out there that do not have some sort of imprint on them. Sounds like he may be trying to pull a fast one on you. He may be trying to make you think he is going to get clean taking suboxone when in fact he is just taking "fake" suboxone while he is still taking dilaudid.
1134609 tn?1269272200 I have never had any luck when I have been placed on the generic brands of medications. Celexa especially; I was on it for 10 years, tried the generic several times and paid for it. 3. I have also been on Neurontin for the past 10 years. In a past post, I wondered if they decrease in dosage is what was causing me so many problems. However, I am back on the brand name of the medication and there's a HUGE difference between the two.
351846 tn?1273615544 I am taking suboxone and just got my script filled yesterday and it is still orange and used under the tongue. I saw the doctor also and he said nothing about there being a change in how it was dispensed.
Avatar f tn You may not necessarily need a higher dose, sometimes a change in medication can do the trick and rotate every year or so, that can help keep your tolerance down a bit. As for Opana, it will either work great for you or not at all. It's bio-availability is only around 10-15% so it really just depends. But, like I said, some people respond really well to it and some don't. Its worth a shot if you have insurance, it is really expensive, even the new generic is expensive. Good luck to you!
Avatar f tn i took 30 tramadol a day. what is the typical suboxone dose for that amount of use?
Avatar f tn Anyway my question is does anyone know if they have come out with a generic Suboxone yet and if so will it be any cheaper and is there any type of Patient Assistance program that could help me. Im so scared that Im not gonna be able to afford my Subs and go back to Methadone or even something worse. Please let me know what yall think. God Bless you All.
Avatar f tn If any body has been thru this Please let me know your thoughts... Also Does anyone know if SUBUTEX not Suboxone comes in a generic ??? Thanks so much...
Avatar f tn it enhances dopamine availability and can help some who have a deficiency in that area..it is similar to trazodone in ways//anothe sleep dpression like drug/and yohimbee which is not a rx drug but is also a dopamine enhancer..after u r on it for a while, the sedative effect lessens...so ur dr is either rx-ing it to u for depression, anxiety/and or sleep....make sure of the spelling..
408795 tn?1324935675 Anyone heard about the EASL presentation about the "Generic Rebels" in the "Redemption" Clinical Trials? Just passing information onward. Following MedHelp guidelines, I'm not supposed to post any links. That's fine, if you want more information on generic Harvoni or any HepC drugs, simply go to Google and lookup Dr. James Freeman from Australia, best doctor in the world when it comes to HepC. Just say no to Gilead=Greediad and high prices!!!
900457 tn?1266782689 Medi-cal DOES pay for the suboxone and subutex(and generic of subutex) you only have to apply for a tar with your pharmacy. It takes about 3 days to get it. If your pharmacist is cool like mine then they will give you some meds to take home while they get the script paid for. Your doctor will have to supply info for medi-cal on why you need the meds. ITS SUPER EASY THOUGH. just talk to your pharmicist. If you go to a dr that takes medi-cal then your appt fee should be free too.
Avatar f tn Hi all. had my 2nd appointment tonight with my addiction psychiatrist. I was on Subutex since last Monday. He switched me over to Suboxone tonight. Now I don't have to go back for 2 weeks. My cousin is going to him as well (she recommended him to me). He decided to give us an appointmet at the same time as he knows we are related, travel 45 min to get to him and he knows we are supporting each other thru this.
Avatar f tn Bups loose their patton in october of this year so there will be generic bups soon. But suboxone is incredibly harderr to synthesize so they will not be generic for some time because they are expensive and difficult to manufacture. There is no immediate danger to subs, Im just very passionate about this drug and want the addicts of the future to have access to it.
Avatar f tn It all depends on the type of test they would be testing you with! Most drug screenings test for all of them. But some places only test specifically for suboxone subutex and opiates. I would just call up to the doctor office and ask, u dont necessarily have to give them your name if u ask a generic question such as that!
1468549 tn?1286750787 The doc was kind enough to give me a script to 120 of the generic 'subotex' as the suboxone has no generic yet. What is the difference? I can't afford the $400 yet to fill the script so I am buying weekly Suboxone from the doc office (at $8 apiece!) until I can fill my script. But can anyone explain the difference bewteen the two? I know the suboxone also has that drug that throws you into withdrawals if it is mainlined,. but I would never do that.
Avatar f tn Generic Suboxone and Subutex is and has been available for some time now. You may try one of the legit online pharmacies. I do know that Walgreens carries it and may possibly be able to order it quickly if they don't already have it.
Avatar f tn I started suboxone two years ago and moved to NM and was unable to get a doctor after the move. I called every number listed and every number those numbers would give me 11 times over 18 months. The first time I was on Suboxone my initial dose was 8mg a day. I had tapered down to 3, 1.5 pills when I had to give up suboxone and return to my drugs of choice because I cannot handle withdrawal. Finally, a couple of weeks ago I got lucky and found a new doctor before he was full. YAY!
Avatar m tn Any one has idea about Gilead's new drug TAF availability in rest of the world other than US?
Avatar m tn SUBOXONE--- HAS anyone that has been on Suboxone ever had the side effect of uncontrollable ITCHING? Scratch till your raw? Or any other side effects that make life more difficult? I was on Suboxone for two years, off for 3 months with opiates, and now on again for a month. The itching started small after a few weeks on Sub But now I scratch everywhere there is hair and just below my knees , my back arms, and high on my butt.
Avatar n tn Most pharmacies order based on pricing/availability. You can ask them to order a specific generic if you find one doesn't help. Generics can have various fillers and there is a small variance permitted during manufacturing, but there shouldn't be a significant noticeable difference in potency. The fillers used can in some people make a difference in absorption.
481056 tn?1240138727 There is now a generic form of Subutex available now, and most pharmacies retail at $3 per pill, still costly, but if you can get your doc to change your script to subutex, and you work on lowering your dose it can totally be done. Suboxone is not yet available as a generic as the pharm companies are having a hard time getting the Buprenorphine/naloxone combo to dissolve the right way, but it is in the works. Also, have you tried lowering your dose to say 8mgs?
947931 tn?1251495088 re not using other types of opiates---whereas other more generic tests like home tests and such just test positive no matter what type of opiate you've used)
Avatar m tn Now that Symfony is FDA approved, is there any information about when it will actually become available for U.S. patients? For me, the question isn't just academic. I'm scheduled for measurements Aug. 1, then eye one a week later, and eye 2 about a week after that. On my last visit, a week ago, just days before the FDA announcement, I discussed Symfony in passing with my ophthalmologist. The conversation went something like this: "Sounds like great option.
Avatar f tn i tried regular armour.. not the generic qualitest.. and it screwed my heart up.. i had to go to the heart hospital .. i was having arrythmias... it was very scary. so.. i am frekaed out .. about what to do.. I am currently 6-7 weeks pregnant.. and i have about 4 months left of the qualitest brand.. does anyone know of ANY other NATURAL thyroid that i can take??? i have NO idea what i am going to do.. has anyone ever switched brands ?? i am so very afraid..
1170366 tn?1263919479 It's coincidental that the previous poster "chemister" is talking about using subutex. The difference with suboxone and subutex is suboxone has naloxone in it. It's only there to make one sick if they try to inject the subs. So unless you're an IV drug user you're better off with subutex. :) Subutex is also available as a generic so you'll pay a fraction of the cost of a very expensive medication. Subs cost a lot.
