Suboxone for recreational use

Common Questions and Answers about Suboxone for recreational use

suboxone

Avatar f tn Am I a candidate for suboxone if I take ten percocet tens a day and use coricidin on a regular basis?
Avatar m tn Ok, I've got to ask. And please, PLEASE, do not take this the wrong way, it's is most likely just an inability to connect all the proper circuitry in my old brain after too many years of 'recreational' behavior. But if you use Suboxone to detox from something don't you then have to later detox from the Suboxone? I'm probably missing the point, but when I read up on it I came away feeling like I would just be switching one DOC for another.
Avatar f tn (been usin since 17) ever since gettin prescribed to suboxone ive been clean and holdin a steady job.most people i know wont use for recreational use tho. It doesnt really get me high, it just makes me feel normal and not sick. It is addictive tho. I have to be weened of b4 i stop takin it.
Avatar f tn I am getting ready to get in an soboxon program, so as for now I am taking just about anything I can get my hands on. Question though. I'v taken 2 soboxons today (note that I only take these occassionally, about Once or twice month}. I usually use oxy's or percocets. My question is: Since I took that Suboxon today should I not take any methadone tomorrow (also something I only occassionally do ).
Avatar f tn I just posted a comment about stopping taking suboxone. I never intended to start it. I was sober for 7 years through AA and went back out for 2 weeks shooting dualasid(K4) and stopped after 2 weeks cause I so dust want to live like tht but had a friend give me suboxone in case I had wd. I don't think I would of for only doing it for 2 weeks but was scared. Now I like the suboxone and have taking it for a month, longer that I shot up.
1536087 tn?1292526415 One thing i want to explain is that i have injuries due to an accident so the percocet that i take is not for recreational use. I use it as needed. my dilema is this i Feel as if its safer to stay off the withdrawl meds.( suboxone ) due to the greater amounts of toxins opposed to the percocets themselves, because is it still sooo early in the pregnancy. My ultimate goal is to not be dependent on these meds the whole pregnancy.
882970 tn?1549208689 Now my question is this- many of us on this site are here because of opiate addiction- (mine was purely for recreational use- never by prescription) curious to know how many have been through the withdrawals swearing up and down they will never touch an opiate again only to one day get hooked on them- again? Has this happened to anyone? for those who have stayed clean- please enlighten me with how you did it....
Avatar n tn I have never read any literature where it states that suboxone is contraindicated for use in a short term detox. Just my two cents. All the best.Regards Jeremy.
Avatar m tn I started off at low doses and now take up to 160mg at once. This was all for recreational use. I started suboxone treatment a year ago and hadn't touched anything for a year. About 8 months ago I relapsed and ever since I have been back and forth between oxy and subs. I can take about 1-2 mg of sub and be fine but I want to quit this cold turkey. I have been on oxy everyday for the last 2 weeks and my last dose was almost 18 hours ago.
Avatar f tn I have been on suboxone for a few years & I want to get off of the medicine. Does anyone have success stories?
Avatar n tn And I am not even sure if you could call coke use recreational - for the people that really like it (your BF is one) there is no recreational use a time or two a month or whatever. Its a slow ride downhill to all of the negatives you have heard about it. I cant make your mind up for you - but I would say if your BF says he wont marry you without the other girl along .... send him packing. Perhaps have him read some things from the Grandfather of coke himself - Sigmund Freud......
Avatar n tn Would someone please tell me if taking 5 or 6 xanax once every few weeks to the point of passing out is an addiction or "recreational usage"? Is there such a thing as recreational use? My 20 yr old has been on suboxone for 4 months and has been clean except for these binges. I'm not justifying anything. I am just confused.
Avatar m tn after going cold turkey, and thinking i now had the knowledge to control my recreational use i started using again.. Long story short, this is my 4th time stopping, the previous 2 times have been over the last month or so, and both times i used Suboxoned acquired from a friend to get off. After falling for these devil pills again i decided to go in and use the Suboxone under a doctors care. So today i went into see a local doc who treats alot of people dealing with substance abuse..
Avatar m tn He was in detox a couple months ago and reports that he has NOT been using opiods for more than a month. He wants to start on suboxone because of craving the opiods. Does anyone have an opinion on using Suboxone for a person who is actually not actively using? He has in the past used suboxone off the street and says it was helpful. We're confused--will a dr. prescribe suboxone for someone who isn't using.
Avatar m tn Otherwise all drugs are krap to me, recreational use? What is that????????? I often thought I could use recreationally, trust me I was wrong. When in doubt, go without!!
Avatar n tn First of all you can do it. if your ready, I'm in day 4 of WDS off Norco 4 years 15-20 a day. Don't do suboxone unless all else fails, for me the WDS off it were the Devil. How many are you doing a day? We need to set you on a taper program, you have to want it, because if your not suffering a little your not tapering ( my opinion ) but I'm only day 4 maybe crazy legs is gonna come back tonight I hope not.
Avatar f tn No need to suffer seriously don't do that. If you can no longer get the medication and you can't get off of it without suffering go talk to a Suboxone doctor it works.
947931 tn?1251495088 subxone is a matience drug, designed for long term use, i stayed on it until i was ready to get clean, so i guess it depends on you and how long you want to stay on opiates, hopefully your suboxone clinic will set up a treatment plan, so you will have a goal, or time marker i definantly "got high" on this drug, the warm fuzzies, confusion, blurred vision, lethargy, mood swings at first it gave me much needed energy, and controlled pain, then it turned on me like one of michael vics pit
Avatar m tn s marijuana use is not deemed excessive and does not interfere with daily function, subject must be instructed to discontinue any current use of recreational marijuana prior to entry into study and throughout the study period
Avatar m tn I didnt use suboxone for only a week but i used it for 3 months to get off a 2 yr methaonde habit and before that I used every pill out there for a few years. When i used suboxone for those three months the tapper was very easy and i never experienced any withdrawals. When i made the jump i jumped from 2 mgs and experienced very doable withdrawls. I even slept like a baby the first few nights. Hope i helped some....Ang.
Avatar m tn I have been getting strong cravings for Percocet lately, but I have some suboxone in the drawer. I am feeling a tad fatigued due to recreational use of pain killers from the weekend. I really don't want to have these cravings and a friend has suggested just taking .5 MG of suboxone. This I know would aleviate the cravings and also get rid of the fatigue. My question is: If I took a total of .5MG of suboxone last Monday and then Tuesday and did pain killers over that weekend, then did .
Avatar m tn I did pills like Percocet, Oxycontin, and Suboxone. At the time i didn’t use suboxone as a form of medicine but rather a recreational drug. Well here i am today. The last 2 years i have become quite dependent on pills. I no longer sniff them i IV them now. I went through a period where i did heroin and opiate pills every day. Now i have tried to stop the best i can. I don’t use pills or heroin much anymore maybe once a month. However i am dependent on Suboxone and i do not have a prescription.
Avatar m tn I still didn't get any answer on taking the sub Is everyone out at a park or something?
2008432 tn?1327873760 I have experimented with them for recreational use, and unfortunately was put on them for pain from an accident I was involved in. While I do love the feeling they give me, they are ruining my life, my family, my relationship. Everything around me is falling apart from using. I want to be free of this addiction, I know I am addicted, I admit I am, and yet it is so hard to stop. I have come close to losing everything, and yet still can't stop.
