Common Questions and Answers about Suboxone dosing information

suboxone

Avatar n tn I cannot find the exact information but from what I remember seeing in the dosing information on suboxone - they do not exactly know the effects to the fetus and therefore it is not suggested to be taken during pregnancy. I believe subutex is suggested instead of suboxone. Best bet is to talk to your doctor. Really it's is imperative your obgyn knows what's going on.
Avatar n tn I took a 2mg suboxone in the am and 2mg in pm for two days to try and get off those dam roxi's. My last dose of 2mg was yesterday at 5:30pm. As I keep reading and researching about suboxone I am getting more and more afraid that I am going to have withdrawals from the suboxone(which I heard was worse). I am contiplating not taking the suboxone today and just stopping. Will I gert withdrawals from suboxone from taking it for 2 days? If so how long do you think they will last?
Avatar f tn Because of the guidelines of this community we cannot give out dosing information (or anything else) to do with medication. But also it is not a good idea to come on the internet for this information. Please..if you want to get clean, and I know you do, go to a doctor an do this properly. Along with Suboxone you should be getting counseling and/or going to meetings. Suboxone is a program, not just a drug. Please do this properly or you will find yourself in trouble down the road.
Avatar n tn I am sorry but we cannot share dosing information with you. It is a violation of our guidelines. It is really a shame that you are unable to see a doctor and do the program properly. You may benefit from it. I suggest that you do some further reading about Suboxone, perhaps on their web site. Best of luck. I hope you get and stay clean.
536882 tn?1225512859 I have had one patient (out of a couple hundred treated with Suboxone) who thought that he had leg edema from the Suboxone. We eventually changed to Subutex, then eventually stopped the Suboxone... and the edema persisted. I don't know if it was related to the Suboxone or not. In your case it started after several months... and I have just as hard a time deciding if there is a connection.
Avatar f tn I have worked my way down to about 2mg of Suboxone a day but problem is I have this split into four daily doses. If I try taking all 2mgs in morning I still have to take another dose or so that evening and night, so I am taking much more than just 2mgs. I know when tapering most try to get dosing only once daily so should I up my dose until I can only take one daily dose then work down from there.
Avatar f tn Hi everyone - Please remember that while you can share experiences, we can not allow dosing information to be shared. Also, one person's experience may be quite different from someone else's, so keep in mind that your experience may be much worse or much better. Please consider talking with your doctor about Suboxone before starting it. It is a very serious medication and should only be taken under medical supervision.
Avatar m tn first of all ive got 2 kinds of pills one is SUBOXONE and the other is SUBUTEX....whats the difference between them???the other is i am 33 years old and since my 22's i ve been on and off with heroin...now after a year been clean i ve been addicted to heroin again for not over 3 months and i would like to stop it....i ve bought those pills i said before and i am asking which is gonna be the best way or the doses for me to quit with no WD's from the pills...
Avatar f tn I am currently taking three 8mg suboxone daily. Are you supposed to be taking them in seperate doses or once a day dosing? How should I start to taper? How much at a time? I really need all the correct info I can get about suboxone.
Avatar m tn I took on average 13-15 of them a day for 2 years. Then, I discovered suboxone and was on it for a little over a year...never relapsed. I got down to a quarter of a 2mg pill(0.5mg). Why am I still experiencing such harsh withdrawals? I just want to be off the suboxone and done with it for good. I stopped going to my doctor 3 months ago. I haven't ran out of suboxone either. Just wanted to quit...but, I guess it will leave me no choice but to take it again.
Avatar f tn Sophie, I am sorry you are feeling so poorly. It is a violation of our guidelines to provide any information regarding dosing, etc. Go to Suboxone.com and there you can do your research and even find a new doctor. I hope you get this straightened out soon and it all works out for you. Stick around here for support.
Avatar n tn Stated in there you will see that we do not give out tapering information or dosing information. There are no doctors here and since we don't have any way of knowing your medical background, it is dangerous to provide that information on the internet. Again, I wish you the best and hope that you can get and stay clean. Stick around and members will give you moral support through this and also suggest some natural supplements that you may want to consider to help ease the process.
Avatar n tn built like a brick house 20 year old male die from doing a combo of H and Suboxone thinking he was invincible, and Suboxone was just a sissy drug ....... that is not b*lls*hit...... just a fact... which is what you ask for........ you can OD by doing both, depending of course based on the mgs of Suboxone and the amount of heroin, in a nano second.
356054 tn?1218552475 Hey Guys, My name is MikeWithFamily. I am going on week#12 right now with my Suboxone Treatment. Prior to taking Sub I was taking 30 to 40 Vics a day. Understand first. The only Docs that can prescribe Sub are those that have been received the special training and awarded a special license to prescribe it. Not all doctors can presribe. Hop, I saw you say something about going to your regular doc...is he licensed?
Avatar n tn If you take your reguarl suboxone dose it will pass in 2-3 days. If you take more of an agonist or more Suboxone, you will prolong it for complicated reasons. For example, there is evidence that in very high doses buprenorphine acts like an antagonist! So... be patient, dose each morning, and wait for it to pass.
Avatar f tn This is something you need to discuss with your doctor. Suboxone doesn't really require multiple dosing, and actually people very frequently develop mental hang ups about those subsequent daily doses when it's time to taper, they have a hard time eliminating those multiple doses. Subxone can be taken in one dose daily.
1109246 tn?1268192801 Congrats! Just curious. What was your suboxone dosing schedule? Do you have to wean off of that too?
Avatar m tn First of all, your disease has been in remission the last year. Stopping the Suboxone does not mean that the disease will stay in remission. In fact, I found that after my year long Suboxone course my addiction was at the very same place it was when I first started the Suboxone. You should really get a recovery plan in place before stopping the Suboxone. That means getting to the root cause of the addiction and doing some work.
Avatar f tn Physically, it has no bearing. However, mentally it confirms the addictive behavior. Because of Sub's long half life, there's no reason for twice a day dosing...and, sitting there dosing to keep away withdrawals or to get a "lift" is only telling you addiction that this drug is no different from other opiates. So, that's why doctors with significant addiction experience (not just a general GP) suggest once a day dosing.
950277 tn?1247274551 I have been on a full 8mg tablet of suboxone for over a year. I recently have been trying to cut down. It was easy dropping to a 1/3rd of a tabled then half. I have been down to a 1/4 pill a day for over 2 months. However, I cant seem to get any lower. I get horrible withdrawls. Any suggestions is greatly appreciated.
1569985 tn?1328247482 I have done that when mine was high and then gone back to regular dosing. I hope you find the problem quickly. Let us know what you find out if you feel it would be of help to others on this drug. BTW, I am doing better on 1/2 of a 25 mg. Atenolol at night and nothing thru the day. My heart rate is up a little and I am not used to that, so I'm feeling a little hyper. I am hoping it will level out and I will feel more energetic. My dizzy spells are also less.
