suboxone

1800740 tn?1324237171 Can you tell me what milligram dosage suboxone he will prescribe for a 30 mg per day methadone user. Suboxone is very expensive & if I need more than 8mg per day I can't afford it in addition to the cost of the dr. visits.
Avatar m tn Has your Suboxone dosage recently dropped? It very well could be allergies as well. I never had allergies either, or so I thought. I do now. I actually probably always had them, but I was too high to notice. What does your Sub doctor think?
Avatar n tn Yes, I just switched from methadone to suboxone, You will need to lower your dosage to at least 30mg but preferably 20 mg per day. Then you'll need to be in withdrawals from methadone. I waited 5 days and my switch was easy. If you don't detox from methadone you can go into precipitated wds & you don't want that! Have the doctor prescribe clonodine (blood pressure med) to ease wd symptoms. It's a lifesaver!
Avatar m tn Heavy opiate user...i quit suboxone with kratom a while back and went straight to opiates atleast 300 bucks a day habit...i went to a rehab and they kept me in detox for 5 days but took them 3 days to give me subutex....i ended up leaving because they wouldnt help any longer with treatment boy o boy all i know is suboxone withdrawls are no joke...i been having the hott and colds ever sense i was put on it 4 days ago.
Avatar m tn You will need to be in withdrawal when you start, but the suboxone works very fast and really helps with the detox process. Some people use suboxone to detox and others are on it longer term. Listen and take the advise of your doctors and work your program. Most of all, keep posting - ask lots of questions and keep us posted on how you are doing. There are lots of great people here who have been in your shoes and who can help. Take Care.
Avatar m tn yup my doctor kept pushing it on me, but i learned on here as u will to that its a b-tch to get off of aswell sorry to say
2115889 tn?1338882792 I am in the hospital, basically locked up, so I can get off suboxone. My dosage was between 1 1/2 to 2 of the 8mg films. I wish you were able to detox this way. But there are advantages to just dealing by going ct (cold turkey) thats what I think you are referring to in your post. I just was to say today is my first day on 4 mgs, and I am making it to 0 fairly vastly. I will meet you there. Hang on through the wildest ride of your life. Best Wishes.
Avatar n tn My son was injured in a football game when he was 17. He had back surgery at that time. (In retrospect, probably a mistake) He is now 26 and has been on some type of opiate for 8 years. He is now taking 40 mg of Oxycotin twice daily plus Oxycodone (dosage unknown). I recently discovered that he was injecting the Oxycotin. After many long talks, he says he is now ready to detox. A facility in Nashville has described their program as a 4 day inpatient detox.
Avatar m tn I already have to two meds, I was just hoping I could get an idea from some former detox folks would would be a good 1 month or 2 month detox dosage and tapering. I know it can very from patient to patient but just a little about me, Im only doing 40mg/day and have been doing so for about 6 months and just want to stop. I started to stop cold turkey.
Avatar f tn Also, suboxone is not usually recommended during pregnancy. If you are already on suboxone, you will most likely be switched over to methadone. Suboxone withdrawal in the pregnant woman is just as dangerous to the fetus as mom.going through methadone withdrawal.
Avatar f tn I had sent Fladdict a pm because I wanted to ask her what her 10 day suboxone dosage plan was that she used to detox but I just noticed she might not be online do to a surgery or injections so I will ask some of you and if you do read this Stephanie, get well soon! Anyhow, I have posted once on here before about tapering and also some sub. questions but found out the sub. doctor here wanted $1,000 so that ended that for me at the time. My background again...
1005799 tn?1250391928 Ga Guy is right, it will depend on how long you have taken suboxone and the dose you were on. I ran out of suboxone while taking 2mg for years and the withdrawal was much more intense than the original drug of choice. Taper slowly in very small amounts or seek professional help with your detox. That is the only thing that worked for me.
Avatar f tn Actually the best drug for opiate detox is called Suboxone. You will not feel any withdrawls when you stop taking opiates and it will allow you to detox slowly while you gain your mental & emotional capacity back. The problem is that it is still not completely FDA approved and only certain approved docs can prescribe. You will have to call many of them in your area in order to find a Doc that is not predatory in the way he/she prices his treatment.
Avatar m tn A friend that was trying to get off just like i am cant go to work trying to stay clean, He wants to know what he can do or go to get detox? Will they admit him if he goes to a doctor? Emergengy room? He also asked me if there was another type of drug to take to help him get off roxys? Anything would help because i dont have any answers??????
Avatar f tn s different when it comes to suboxone. may i ask if your getting these from a doctor? what dosage are you taking? as far as tapering goes, you need to start tapering now as the percocets are outta your system by now. are you getting any kind of aftercare?
5135507 tn?1367163227 I was on the same combo I couldn't even taper due to the w/d being so bad. I had to use suboxone to get off of them. I know there is a lot of different things that will help the w/d more tolerable. The only thing that I know that takes them away is suboxone. If you take suboxone then you have to taper of that its not comfortable but it's tolerable. The w/d are no where near as bad as the fentanyl patch. I was told the fentanyl patches is the 2nd hardest thing to w/d from.
Avatar f tn I have 7--8milligram doses of Suboxone. I of course am going to do the very short term detox with it, and I would like some input on the dosages I should use, even though I have a fairly good Idea. So I have a total of 56 milligrams of the Suboxone, and I definitely have some aftercare I am going to be doing. I respect any and all of your opinions, as I do value them. I used to work on a horse farm.
Avatar f tn Ok I'm going to try to make this very short and to the point. Fiancé been on subs for 6 years. Now it's either get off them or loose his daughter. He is currently in a 5 day detox program which is giving him a small dose of methadone while he's there. My question is, once he comes home and no longer has the methadone to replace the subutex, are his withdrawals going to go right back to completely unbearable? Or will he be okay?
Avatar f tn if you can maintain on the dose that is lowest, then that will be the best, as suboxone is addictive and a very strong medication. While suboxone is very useful and really does work, one must work with the lowest dosage possible. Keep trying with what you are prescribed. If it is too low, let your doctor work with you to get to the right dose. In the end you will be much better off. Keep posting, everyone is here to support you.
Avatar f tn Also I have been on opiates a total of 15yrs straight, the last two years have been Suboxone but most of that time was methadone. I went to rapid detox and when I came back I felt awesome for about two weeks, I was doing everything I wanted to do and then I started feeling the withdrawal from the methadone something fierce, it continually got worse each day and I made it six weeks and still felt like total death. No sleep and nothing but cringing when I moved from the air hitting my body.
Avatar m tn ve called every treatment center in my area that treats opiod dependence with suboxone. When I say I need treatment for tramadol dependecy they tell me tramadol is not an opiate and they don't treat for it. I reallu need to find some help. I've been tapering off but I know I'm gonna need some extra help. Does anyone know if there is another route I can go to get suboxone?
