I just recently moved across country with my dad to get away from a bunch of things back home in fl. I was on suboxone for about 4 days before I left, then I just quit off everything cold turkey..The suboxone helped me not get to sick the first few days, but I have been in Arizona for about a week and I still can't sleep. When will I be able to sleep normal again?

then switched to suboxone to detoxx from the methadone. i was wondering how long does the w/ds form methadone actually last ? i dont want o get off suboxone b4 the w/ds from the methadone r over and have to go thru 2 different drug w/ds. ive been on the suboxone for a lil over a week now and im at 10mgs. i hope im making since and everyone knows what im talking about. it was kinda hard for to word correctly. any ideas?

that is a specialist on substence abuse and he said that one i was on a too low dose of suboxone and also he change it to subutex 8mg insted of suboxone 3mg, I have not started the subutex yet and i feel weird going up but I do understand why he is doing it cause I keep falling back to the pills. So my question for the ones that know is it the same thing suboxone and subutex not quimicly but in our point of view?

I have been on suboxone for a long time and I have always struggled with going poop. Now, it has gotten to the point that every few weeks I get terrible stomach craps and sm sick for hours. Eventually I go, but my body almost convolsus. I know this is not an attractive topic but I don't know what to do. It feels like I need to poop, but something down there isn't working. It's almost like my muscles d,ont work right. Has anyone ever lost the control of their ppop muscles?

After many failed attempts to quit these white devils I've decided to give Suboxone a try. I have a friend that is currently on Suboxone and he said it was a life saver. Only problem is...he is now addicted to the Suboxone and I've heard horror stories about quiting Sub as well. I'm not sure what else to do as going cold turkey is something I am unable to accomplish. I have heard great success stories about Subooxne as well. Strange story here.

I have to say that he should follow the directions of his doctor (or you should). But the current recommendation in the package insert says to be OPIOID free for ten days.

That sounds like a hefty amount to take everyday for 5 yrs. It seems like 15 would be too many to me. Sorry, Try to calm down and work out a tapper plan to get your intake down. You most certainly won't die, maybe feel bad, you still have so much in your system that you shouldn't be in withdrawls. Perhaps not getting the high you want but if you want to quit then you either quit and go cold turkey or tapper-off the pills. You probably need to talk to a dr.

I knew I had a question!! Now i remember. I did find 1 Dr who does suboxone therapy that i wouldnt have to take so much time off of work. I think i am going to make an appt to go speak with him next week. what scares me so much is that i have heard and read so many horror stories about suboxone W/D's being even worse than the drugs one needed to get off of in the 1st place. when i talked to the lady at the Dr office she said no way that was true.

I think you are talking about the main active ingredient of Suboxone right? I think that could be a very good idea for managing your addiction and your life and start to work on steps to get totally clean in time if that is what you want.. BEST OF LUCK!

I am in Day 9 Suboxone therapy. After much research and discussion, I decided that this was the best route for me.

Medicating yourself on Suboxone is not a good idea. Suboxone needs to be given by a doctor, and you need to be monitored during your first dose. You will also need some kind of support group or counseling, or family to help you change your habits. Suboxone is great, but it alone is not a miracle drug to make you become an instant EX addict. And if you take it to soon, and are not in withdrawal, you are going to get VERY VERY sick with precipitated withdrawal.

You have to wait for at least 24hrs before taking suboxone otherwise it will send you into immediate withdrawals. I would wait longer than 24hrs if possible. I sent you a message explaining it in more detail, but I also would not get involved in Subs. I explained more in my message to you. You can do this! Others with more Methadone experience will be on here to help you as well.

Day 2 and I feel sick...If I take suboxone during my 5 day sickness then stop all pills after 5th day will I have to go through this again?

I will be meeting for the first time with my Suboxone doctor next Thurs and am guessing I will start on Suboxone very soon after that. I am dependent on Tramadol, the worst possible drug from which to cold turkey. At my age and given my physical (gastro) problems, I truly believe a cold turkey w/d would kill me.

OK, so anyway Vicodin (in the short term) seems to work for me. I did some research about Suboxone and talked with my doctor and he put me on 4mg a day....one in the morning and one at night. Well I took the first dose on the first day, later since I didn't get it until about 5PM and then didn't feel so hot. I sort of got a tightness in my chest and feeling a little anxious. Well I took the 2nd dose at 12AM and I felt REALLY bad.....it's 6:22AM right now and I still feel bad.

Are there free rehabs? Sorry for all the words so we will get to the point. I got my hands on 3 suboxone sublingual fil 8 mg and i dont know what to with them or how to use it but it has to help. I have took any for 24 hrs and i can feel it. Should i take a whole strip or half right now? Please write back asap.....

I live in southeren louisiana. I have been trying to get off these pain killers for so long. But, no one wants to help. I've tried facilities but, they are all booked up. And unless you can pay 1,500.00 a day you aren't getting in anyway. so, i heard about suboxone/ subutex. but no one here knows anything about it or will prescribe it. I really want to not be like this. if anyone has any suggestions , please let me know. im going crazy here.

I was really hoping to get some more information about Suboxone and getting off pills in general. I am even more worried about Suboxone now. I called today to get into outpatient-chemical dependancy counseling. Each time I called local centers I asked if they allow people on Sub. into their program (detox said a lot did not) and each one had to put me on hold and ask someone else. Most didn't know what Suboxone was. WTF?!?!?!?

I took subutex in the morning at 8 and in 30 minutes I was clear headed and my horrible dope sick went away. Suboxone and Subutex are not for everyone, but I believe it is saving my life. Mind you, I am following my doctors directions and going to counseling weekly. It's only been two days, but I finally feel like I can taper down off of this drug without cravings or severe withdrawal. ive been taking suboxone for a little over 2 months now and it has been helping me so much. my dr suggested staying on it for a year. i know alot of people disagree with drug replacement therapy and sometimes i feel bad that i am taking the suboxone. i feel like im not really clean or like im cheating.

But I decided that I wanted to try suboxone because I don't like any of the opiates I have been on. How long should I wait to take the suboxone after I take the patch off? I was wondering if around 12 hours might be okay because I have only been on the patch for such a short time.

I just finished detoxing from suboxone 2 weeks ago and was involved in a motorcycle accident that left me with a shattered collarbone, shoulder blade and several broken ribs. I was taken to the hospital's trauma unit and received surgery for my collarbone injury. They also gave me dilaudid for pain. The pain is excruciating without it. How long should I be on pain meds. I can't believe I need to detox all over again. Please help me manage this process.

Hi! You need to follow the directions of the prescribing doc for the best results. Sub does have to be tapered slowly. Maybe he could add something to help you be able to drop down more comfortably. Just a thought. Clonidine helps and is not habit forming, so he might be willing to give you that?? It would be worth asking! Best of luck to you! Talk to the doc, ok?

i've noted from time to time that my sons eyes tend to breifly be in different directions. He doesent seem to have problems with vision and no one else seems to have noticed when i've mentioned it to others.
