Avatar m tn thanks for your help ive not replied sooner as i only started using a laptop 1st time in my life i used to be a DEA agent too DRUGS EVERY AFTERNOON lol but im 4weeks of the worst prescribed drug in the world meth.
Avatar m tn m thinking of 40-60mgs of methadone a day which would be 30 bucks at my Pharmacy opposed to 8-16 dollars a day for suboxone film. These Suboxone are crazy expensive! Mixed with a low dose of Diazapam, it does help my neck a lot better. So, is my Dr just not wanting to get involved, or can only Pain Clinics and Methadone Clinics prescribe Methadone in the state of Florida these days? Thank you. PS- I tried Gabapentin from my VA Clinic and it is useless.
Avatar f tn I've been on suboxone & adderall for over 14 years.. Back in 2015 I was on suboxone, adderall & adipex for 2 months.. I'm not sure why they would tell you can't fill the adipex it's not an opioid. QUIT USING BIG CHAIN DRUG STORES! USE INDEPENDENTLY OWNED/OPERATED PHARMACIES!
Avatar f tn Thats too bad about the DEA. I guess the people in the DEA have never been addicts or have them close in their life. I agree with cattilina it pisses me off too. People beleive in their doctors and most of them do not have a clue about this stuff.
Avatar f tn Dear Readers, i have been addicted to vicodin for 4-5 years, taking 12-14 daily which started from a herniated disc and scoliosis. I was arrested at work on Tuesday when the DEA was called after i was caught forging prescriptions. My employer had pity on me and was arressted at work but not taken to jail. Well not yet, I will be issued a warrant and will have to turn myself in.
2010150 tn?1328545847 ok.... i'm on 10 mgs a day now....still can't get into medical detox place...went to my family doctor today to get something to help with the withdrawals which haven't been bad ...the worst being I have no energy and am mean as a snake..anyways, he has gotten hid DEA license soooooo he can prescribe suboxone....yep, now i'm thinkin i'll get a script for the suboxone ( which he , hisself said we would start then after a lil bit start tapering off that) my thoughts on this are.
Avatar n tn Its been another great day after taking 16mg of Suboxone yesterday afternoon. I was scheduled to take 8 mgs today but have not had the urge nor have I any WD... nothing at all and I feel alert and normal. Doc said that this happens to some folks and that I should immediately start at 2 to 4 mgs when WD starts. Then if that works, all the better. I know Sub has its down sides, but the foggy headed 6 year prescribed opiate user is not here anymore in terms of how i feel today.
Avatar n tn that are trained in the program to prescribe Suboxone or Subutex. This is not a regular opiate to where any Dr. with a DEA license can prescribe. Neurologists are not trained at all in this type of medication. I There is a government website that helps locate Drs. who can do this for you. I'm not sure what is allowed her but if you google "Physicians who prescribe Suboxone or Subutex" you will find the samhsa.gov website.
Avatar f tn So I have been on Suboxone for about 6 months now. My Dr., who has been my psychiatrist for years started me on it after some valid pain issues & surgeries left me addicted to opiates. I am a medical professional myself and decided to ask to try suboxone to stop feeling horrible due to opiate withdrwawals I was going through. He agreed... well, long story short, he ended up with a medical emergency & is not available to refill prescriptions.
405201 tn?1201775709 I quit doing Heroine after smoking it for 3 years. I started with 8 suboxone cause i know the drill from being in rehab a week once...I took one on my first day, and for some reason i was brave and have only taken 2, and now im on day 17...let me tell you, I FEEL LIKE ****. Can i just randomly take my suboxone even though i havnt been!? And how much!?
Avatar m tn I was on methadone ...90 mgs...for 7 yrs. I thought the same thing you did about not wanting to subtitute one drug with another ( oxys to methadone was what I did...didnt relize i was doing it until it had a hold of me..) once I took my 2nd to last 10mg methadone and I tapered down...I could feel it comin...so, i went to my reg. doctor for sleep aids , aniexty meds etc. and wen i got it there (he was already aware of my story...) he informed he just got his dea to dispense suboxone.....
Avatar n tn It is illegal and they do come after you. There are members here who have been approached by the DEA for doing this. in fact the dope never made it through customs.
Avatar f tn He wouldnt go into a facility. I found a doctor who cut his xanax in half and gave him suboxone. I already had him off of vicadin and soma for seven days. So I didn't want to add the suboxone unless his symptoms became unbearable. He came off quick and hit the wall a few times at work . We decided to go without suboxone. The new doctor wants him on a low anxiety med. I say excercise no more nothing! His kidneys started showing damage from the soma.
Avatar f tn I need to find a program that offers free suboxone because I do not receive insurance from my full time job, nor am I eligible for medicare, there is no way I can afford a prescription of suboxone myself. I feel like I have regressed ten years by scuffling the streets for suboxone like I once did for heroin. I want to do this the legal way and not have the possibility of getting arrested for something that I am trying to defeat my addiction with. I desperately need help finding a program.
Avatar f tn Certain doctors who are licensed to treat with suboxone. In the first year they are licensed they can only have 30 patients they are treating with the suboxone and after that initial year they can have up to 100 at a time. Did you know that they only do an 8 hour training to prescribe and it can be online or in person? That is less time than a real estate agent who sells houses (60 hours). I'm not sure about the whole Suboxone thing.
Avatar m tn i came into work this am and was greeted by the DEA.
Avatar f tn s get paranoid with patients that are buying or selling meds illegally only because the DEA sweats them about drug diversion. Be prepared to provide a clean urine specimen every month (positive for sub) another thing, your Doc will likely make you see a counselor or attend AA/NA & provide a signed sheet as proof.
6808710 tn?1384993739 I just got home from 4 days in Hawaii (on vacation with my dad,) where I was able to kick my heroin habit and switch to suboxone. My dad knows about my addiction but not the extent or immediacy of it; he was under the impression that I had gotten clean the previous weekend in preparation for the trip, when in reality, I was using up until a few hours before boarding the plane. Now that I'm home, every hour feels risky.
Avatar f tn Alternatively, perhaps suboxone would work well for you. any health care prescriber with a dea number can give you the talwin nx though and you need a dr who is credentialed to prescribe suboxone and I dont believe that NP's and PA's can prescribe it should one of those be your primary. good luck to you from a fellow h/a sufferer.
Avatar m tn I have been going to an anesthesia pain clinic in Chapel Hill at the hospital for over 15 yrs for a chronic pain in my lower abdomen. He and other doctors have ran every test you can imagine including putting me to sleep with an IV and then telling me, "You definitely have a pain and it isn't in your head, but I am bumfuzzled as to what it is or what is causing it. BUT, I promise I will treat you as long as you need it, which very well may be the rest of my life.
Avatar n tn She thinks she is doing great by using less and less. When she finally get back with that doctor, she has fallen off his patient Suboxone DEA protocol and, he can't prescribe it to her. She didn't realize that she had to be seen within 6 months or she is dropped. Can't find another physician. Has just been a nightmare. Bottom line, she is now 9-10 days off Suboxone and dealing with it with Tylenol, Ibuprofen, Lorazepam, hot baths.
Avatar f tn And even with THAT, people STILL manage to pull the wool over their eyes, which jeopardizes everyone, especially the doctor whose license and DEA# is on the line. Now, some clinics aren't as strict when it comes to messing up. Some have a one strike you're out kind of motto...others will be a little bit more forgiving. The problem I see is that they KNOW you failed to make your appt in a timely manner, and that you were trying to get in there sooner....
