Common Questions and Answers about Suboxone and xanax combined

suboxone

My doc says adican is the least addictive..For me i love xanax, and knew it was not right for me and i was going to abuse it so i never filled my next script..maybe you can try and anti depressent with the adivan and it will help...That is what my doc did..i cannot get off of my lexapro and don't care if i have to take it all my life..
nausea and vomiting, drowsiness, dizziness, headache, perspiration, itchiness, dry mouth, low blood pressure, decreased libido and urinary retention. You do not have to be an addict. You do not have to be branded one either. We make people clean and keep them clean without the use of other opiates all the time. Just look at our website www.MDSDrugDetox.com. Read my blogs by clicking on my name, then blogs. I talk a lot about options available. 2. Anxiety is your other over whelming issue.
He had had anxiety problems when he was younger and has tried paxil and xanax and another one i can't remember and he hated them, and they didn't help him much. He can't confide in his wife, if she knew, she would be horrible to be around trying to go through this. It is hard enough going through it without her yelling at him for it. He also can't take time off work, or he may lose his job. He has a hard time sleeping so he finally re-tried sleeping pills.
Then like a year clean off opiates via sub, my sub doc recommends a cut in the sub and I became so anxious and I told a generalist about my axiety and he recommended the xanax. So I took it combined with sub and I didn't take .5 mg / 2x a year, instead I can take 8mg all at once. Obviously I started lower, (but still higher than you) as I took double than whatever my doctor said and felt so relaxed and kind of buzzing - kind of like my body was tickling me - and I got so social.
I think you need to put down the percocet and xanax and talk with your doc about some clonidine. By your own admission, the percocet isn't giving you much relief. You have been on it for a while, trying to get off the sub. What's going to happen when you stop the percocet? Back to sub to get off of the percocet? Can't keep that up or you will just continue a bad cycle! And the xanax can bite you QUICK. Before long you will find yourself having to taper off of it, if you don't already!
I have been taking Suboxone for 3yrs and I am pregnant w/ my 2ND child while on suboxone. I also know of another girl who has had 2 babies while taking suboxone. My 1st child I had while taking suboxone is ABSOLUTELY perfect. He will be 2 in Dec. He weighed 7lbs. and 3 oz @ birth. When I had him, the hospital knew I was on this medication and monitored him just to make sure he was ok and he never showed any signs of WDs.
Hi mellie. I've researched a lot on suboxone and was on suboxone maintenance for almost three years. I will try to answer what I can from my knowledge. Suboxone is only prescribed to treat opiate addiction. Suboxone is made up of buprenorphine and naloxone.
Ultimately, I can say that I have detoxed from Vicodin cold turkey from around 100mgs/day and oxy cold turkey at about 120mgs a day....and my withdrawal from Suboxone has been and continues to be the worst. 8. I believe that in the near future we will begin to see more and more individuals having trouble quitting Suboxone in the same matter as Methadone.
After being on one nightly large dose of Xanax, and three 2mg daily dosages of Suboxone. Swim began to panic, heart racing, fear, intense anxiety, more so than the original amount he felt when he began taking this hellish pill. Swim managed to obtain some Klonopin 0.5mg (Clonazepam 0.5mg). Began with 1.
I was taking suboxone for 2 years and felt that my doctor was not tapering me down properly. It was really expensive and I no longer wanted to be dependant on medication, so I decided to quit cold turkey ( I was taking 12mg a day). I went through HELL for 2 weeks (nausea, severe irritability, anxiety, hot flahes, cold chills, fever, sweaty palms, back pain, insomnia, and absolutely no energy) before anything started to ease up. I was in the ER because the symptoms were unbearable.
Are you talking about his withdrawal issues or your own anxiety surrounding his detox? Suboxone can be a real bear to detox from, and the longer a person is on it the more difficult the detox. The emotional side of Suboxone detox seems to be horrific and really catches people by surprise. With Sub, both the physical and emotional symptoms seem to last longer than with other narcotics.
joint disfunction which combined is a horrible painful life. one week ago i joined the suboxone program and my doctor started me with 4mg. i am still suffering back pain and i am unsure if this is because i am still going thru tramadol withdrawls or if 4mg of suboxone just simply isn't enough. last night i woke up with my legs jerking and i was overly emotional for no reason. just unsure what to do, should 4mg be enough ???
If anyone has been in this type of situation and can give me any advise I would greatly appreciate it because I have read alot on suboxone and heard many good things and sucess stories but have read a few negative ones also, I know that everyone has a different situation and different experience. I also believe 100% that a positive attitude of really wanting to get clean has so much to do with successfully getting away from any addiction.
The last time I was free of all drugs, was July of 05' after a protracted and painful detox from suboxone and methadone, which I had been on prior to the suboxone. I want to be completely sober again. Suboxone has ruined my sleep patterns, my creativity and robbed me of much of my enthusiasm for life. Since I no longer get natural highs, except from sex, I am ready to go through the arduous and drawn out detox that is a suboxone detox.
I feel like I have it double, because of the xanax withdrawal and the Paxil combined. Any suggestions? And is it better to have these horrible symptoms from discontinuing the medication or to take the medication itself? The way that I am feeling cannot be good for the baby. Please help.....
I was taking xanax and klonipin with my suboxone...but at a low dose...i have stopped the xanax and am only on 1 mg of klonipin daily...but it really should be okayed by your sub doctor...it can be dangerous. the cocaine, i dont know...but why would you do cocaine if your goal is to stop taking drugs? is your goal to be drug free? isnt this the purpose of taking suboxone, for an addiction? or for pain? you really should stay away from cocaine...you may be looking for trouble...
for the day time and that is EXTREMELY helpful and I am not trading that in yet!!! I have read about suboxone and they seem highly addictive in them-selves. They also seem a little expensive. Anyone have advice for me about the vitamins or any other plan???
And finally, because I've studied developmental psychology (among other fields) for the past 10 years and this sort of relationship between the brain developing in a way that is low on the endorphin end and opiate addiction is documented in many addiction studies. So what's the real problem? Physical health and tolerance. Suboxone and possibly methadone (which I've never been on) solve the tolerance problem. As for the physical health problem...
I have decided to go ct from a heavy and long use of norco and soma. 25 norco(hydro10/325mg) and 15 soma 350mg. a day for many years. I have tried the thomas recipe with no avail. I have tried to taper with no avail. I do have some items on hand that I may be able to use for this tough detox, but I need some advice. Keep in mind that I want to this in order to save my life. My toughest is my my first couple of days, in past experience.
So I dug up some more info that I wanna share ... in case you are dying of curiousity. Or need more info like I do. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- http***mb.rxlist.com/rxboard/ultram.pl?noframes;read=3179 not just for breakfast anymore Posted By: mkny Date: Friday, 21 October 2005, at 3:53 a.m.
Since you are new to the Fentanyl they start at 12 mcg's and go as high as 100 mcg's, with different strength's such as 25, 50, 75 and can be combined to make an infinite strength by combining them all together. Fro instance, I'm on 87 mcg's. I've been as high as 125 mcg's after my THR (Total Hip Replacement). I've known of people being on a combination as high as 200 mcg's before.
I have struggled for years with pain pills (vicodin, xanax, percocets, oxy, and codine) and would like a safe alternative. Any suggestions or advice would be great...
I read about the serious side effects when Valerian Root and and a benzodiazepine (like Ativan, Valium, Xanax) are combined in a Anxiety Disorder book I had when I was having severe anxiety while back. My psychiatrist prescribed Valium for sleep and Xanax for panic attacks and anxiety during the day. She told me to never take them together even though they were in same class of drugs.
One thing I will tell you is that if you have a demanding job and can't take time off work, you're probably better going the Suboxone route, because you can withdraw from Suboxone and do your job at the same time. If you can take time off work and just want to go through hell for 3-5 days and get it over with, then try the cold turkey route. Another good thing about Suboxone is that at least with Suboxone while you're trying to get off of it, you're in total control of your life.
nictotine kills more people than all the drugs (including alcohol) + all the suicides, murders and auto accidents combined and cigs are damn hard to stop and probably the most pernicious , even though less dramatic , of all 'substances' / addictions...anyhoo, for me , there's no such thing as 'clean'...no way...the worst addiction i know of which kicks off acutal chemicals altering the entire system for the worst causing great damage and is rewarded highly is 'judgementalness'...
I will not be held hostage by a drug, I would rather cope with the pain. Bladder cancer, thyroid disease, and scoliosis combined with degenerative disc disease in my lower L5 vertebra is what brought me to this place. I will beat this demon. It is all about making my plan, getting the appropriate help from a qualified physician and taking up some serious NA meetings. I am basically here looking for support, my 20 hour attempt at CT was a learning experience.
AS TIME WENT ON IT TOOK MORE PILLS TO GET RID OF THE PAIN (COMBINED LOWER BACK PAIN AND KIDNEY STONES). I NOW FIND MYSELF TAKING THE PILLS 4 AT TIME SOMETIMES 3 TIMES A DAY. EVEN IF THERE IS MIIMAL PAIN. I HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT THERE IS SOME SORT OF PATCH THAT YOUR DOCTOR CAN PRESCRIBE TO HELP YOU WITHDRAW AND GET OFF THE VICODIN. DOES ANYONE KNOW IF THAT IS TRUE AND WHAT IT IS. I HAVE TO DO SOMETHING. I TIRED OF FEELING TIRED AND EXAUSTED.
Hi and Welcome Tramadol Warriors, Please come on in and make yourself comfy. All are welcome.
any health care prescriber with a dea number can give you the talwin nx though and you need a dr who is credentialed to prescribe suboxone and I dont believe that NP's and PA's can prescribe it should one of those be your primary. good luck to you from a fellow h/a sufferer.
the doctor who wrote it ran a treatment facility in UPstate New york where they gave patients amino acids and vitamin via IV during treatment.. He also counsels patients individually.. All of these things are meant to rebuild activity in the major neuro transmitters.. as addicts our neurotransmitters have been disrupted by our use of drugs.. even stuff like cigarettes and eating alot of sugar can disrupt them.. with drugs however it can be more damaging..
