Suboxone and vitamins

Common Questions and Answers about Suboxone and vitamins

suboxone

Avatar n tn s Last week I stopped the perks and Oxy, and used the suboxone the way it is ment to be used. I threw out all I had left, but one 8mg pill...broke that in 3 pieces. when I started feeling like hell the next day I waited few hours more and then took that 3rd of a pill... (I guess thats just under 3 mg.) And you know what...thats all it takes to feel ok. I say ok, not great, not in a cloud, just no withdrawls... Did the same the next day, and day three even broke that 3rd in half and felt ok.
Avatar f tn I have tried to detox both ways ... with suboxone and without. My opinion on suboxone is a great tool for someone who wants to stay on it for months or years, but if you are serious about getting clean, your best move is to quit C/T and never look back. Everyone experiences detox differently, but in my case, suboxone was a crutch that only led to a quick relapse. Most will tell you the best way to get off opiates is to face it head on. Two weeks from now you will be happy you did.
Avatar n tn Thanks worried - that's some really good info! Are you good in science?? Sounds like you would be!! :) There's no interactions between vitamins/aminos and suboxone. SSRIs and 5htp/SAMe shouldn't be mixed as the vitamins have an identical effect as the SSRIs. But if your son has just started the sub I would recommend looking into the 5htp/SAMe as well as a multi-vitamin, B complex maybe?
Avatar f tn Be honest with your doctor and ask him to give you a taper schedule and he may also be able to give you other meds to help besides suboxone. Get OTC meds for any flu like symptoms and take vitamins and drink a lot of water. You can do it without the subs you have only been using them for a short time.
Avatar f tn He was hoping to not take one, but said he is going to take a quarter and then try not taking a quarter of the Suboxone the next day and see how he feels. I want to support him but need facts. How long will he have to take Suboxone before there is no side effects of the pain killers? He was working for me in my business, that did not involve a schedule of being in an office from 9 to 5, so he had a lot of freedom. I realized this was not working and started pulling back the funds.
Avatar f tn you. Suboxone is a tool to help people solidify their recovery, but you have to save yourself, and be willing to do the work to stay clean. There's alot of posts on this website about Suboxone as well as going ct off oxys. Theres more people around that will have vitamins, etc. to suggest that help. Stay strong it gets worse before it gets better - but it does get better!
884943 tn?1241659398 this is what they would do in the hospital if u went in....lots of vitamins, amino acids, water, exersize, rest, and im fine...i sleep, eat, work, and im fine....alittle fatigue at first, some headaches, some leg pain that stops if u walk a bit, and meetings....DONT listen to the hype, u can get off with little pain, if ur not ur doin it all wrong. I took a few clonodine, but really if didnt need it.
684726 tn?1228485621 Hi Nattefrost - I know we are all different but the anxiety and panic attacks were very unexpected and scary for me too coming off suboxone. I never expected it and had not experienced it in any other drug detox...and I never had anxiousness or panic attacks before in my life.. it got better though. Mine ususally peaked around 5 pm. Deep breathing and exercise helped it a lot. I still have a bit of anxiousness at times but its much better now.
Avatar m tn To combat the withdrawals, I am taking 2organic vitamins, with additional potassium and l tyrosine. I take 4advil and 2 Benadryl. I take hot baths to help with the pain. I was on 150 ml a day of tramadol but off for 5days. Help, any suggestions to make it better. Going to doc today. Should I let her put me on suboxune today or continue to fight on my own. I cannot take cymbalta.
459663 tn?1236000877 The 2 mg is a really low dose to be on, but maybe you need to taper it to 1mg especially since the accident. If you really believe you can get through this last injury without taking a pk, and as you say your wds are mild I think you can get through it stopping all together. So my advice would be either stop (keep up on your vitamins and eat right) or go down to an even lower dose of sub.
Avatar m tn Somehow I made a halfway plan to take 1 8mg Suboxone a day and take 3 Lyrica.Well its day 26 and I still have 12 Suboxone left and 4 Lyrica. I did good on one and poorly on the other.I am rather proud of myself and I read your post and experiences on ways to taper since my doctor doesn't care.My question is which should I try hardest to kick 1st? I see my doctor in 2 days and wonder what my next plan is and I am willing to do everything to beat this once and for all.
Avatar f tn Check out the Thomas recipe on the right hand side of this screen. It tells u what vitamins to take and y u should take them and how they will help u thru withdrawls. I can u tell it will help u.
2010150 tn?1328545847 I am getting ready to go into a medical detox facility and I have heard from someone else that went there is that they use suboxone and valium ?? I have been on methadone for 7 yrs mostly at 90 mgs a day....I have tapered down to 40 a day now due to financial reasons I am getting kicked out of the clinic next fri. I have to be on 20 mgs for a week before i can get into detox place.....has anyone been to a medical detox??? I have no other choice....
Avatar f tn Just checking in.....It hasn't been easy, but it hasn't been really all that bad. I slept alot the first few days. I seem to feel pain at night and my legs are very restless. I've been taking a multi-vitamin, B vitamins and an amino acid (can't remember the name). Somebody suggested a liquid B12 sublingual vitamin. I think I will try that. I just want all of the suboxone users on this board to know that it can be done! You can be free of suboxone! Hugs...
Avatar n tn I was also put on suboxone but from oxycodone use instead, suboxone is no better or worse that oxycodone or heroin or morphine, the withdrawals are just as bad, I went 5 days without and suboxone after taking one 8mg a day and those 5 days were hell and I'm still sick, I've tried vitamins, orange juice, hot showers ,Tylenol, ibuprofien ,exercise, sleeping pills, sitting in a corner rocking back and forth, anything and everything I can think of and what others have suggested in other foru
Avatar m tn The withdrawal was painful the first time due to having to kick at a restoration christian program and the seconed time I was on Suboxone for another year and i winged off very slowly, tapering 1/3 every 2 weeks which went smooth. Now I've been on Suboxone for about 3 years, I am down to a crumb and thought it would be easy getting off this time around, but it has not been at all. Anyway, I want to defeat this demon drug and I'm having mental warfare big time.
Avatar f tn From what all I read a very slow taper is advised. Go ahead and start an exercise program, good diet, and vitamins as soon as you decide to taper, this will prepare your body for any withdrawal symptoms to come and you'll be in a good position when you take the last dose. Can you and your doctor work out a taper plan? Deciding to quit is the first step, hang in there.
Avatar m tn Also has anyone done about this long of a suboxone taper and can give me an idea of what to expect and how bad or not so bad it will be? I already told my kids last night that a guy at work had the flu all last week and that I think that I may have gotten it becasue I am starting to feel weak.
Avatar n tn I don't know of a medication that helps with sub withdrawal, but vitamins, minerals, and amino acids help. If my kids where still 2, I'd taper down very slow and stay at a real low dose for awhile before quitting. Answer the questions above and we can be more helpful.
6601982 tn?1383751336 I too am a long time suboxone user. I was on suboxone for over 6 years. I tapered down to 2 mg/day and then quit. I was ready to be off them for many different reasons. I'm not sure what your motivation for quitting them is...and I do encourage you to get off them, I just don't want you to do it too soon. I totally understand the feelings you are having about stopping taking suboxone and I'm hoping that if you do quit you have support of family and your doctor.
Avatar m tn 16mg a day, my husband was transformed, he was totally apathetic, no sex, no laughter, always tired, so he started taking benzos, it changed for the worse, but taking benzos, he decreased the suboxone, in January 2020 I was on 2mg of suboxone and went to cold turkey of suboxone and benzo, two withdrawals at the same time, it was horrible, not so much because of the suboxone, the withdrawal of benzo was the worst, my husband spoke alone , I was shaky, a month later my husband was back on benzos,
Avatar f tn i been taking a qutr of suboxone for 2 months and some days i skipped and took a roxy instead skipped a few days w nothing but now im completely detoxing its day 1 and i really feel fine i wonder if it will b bad?
4826010 tn?1361620925 Oh and I just read your second comment, about working out eating right and taking vitamins, and yes, all of these things help. Its all about endorphins and dopamin levels (excuse the spelling). Any working out gives your body a natural high, decreasing cravings. Any addiction use shuts down the brains ability to use vitamins properly, now clean your body needs the vitamins you take and consume in food to also help deter cravings. So keep this up, it is exactly what your body needs.
Avatar n tn Its has been pure hell to say the least. I have been taking the multi vitamins, lots of water, and forcing myself to get out and get a little excercize. I cannot sleep and my skin feels like its crawling. I have severe anxiety, and have taken a few clonzepams to help but it does not seem to be getting any better. Does anyone have any advise where to go from here??
