Suboxone and tylenol

Common Questions and Answers about Suboxone and tylenol

suboxone

As for the headaches they are terrible when you first start, then they will subside, but I still get them occasionally. Usually about three tylenol and a cup of coffee helps. I know this drug well, I'm a 7 year pain pill addict and it's a hell of a battle even with sub, but it's doable. Feel free to ask me anything you need to know.
OC is right ...
You can take tylenol or motrin and the effects are better due to the narcotic in the suboxone. I tried this the other day for a headache and I was amazed. I felt better all over. All my little aches and pains were gone along with the headache. The doctor told me this would happend and he was right.
What is suboxone? Ive seen a ton of posts about people who love it, and people who hate it... Im just wondering what it is.
If you need to take Tylenol, you can always take it separately. And I personally think ibuprofen works better than Tylenol for pain relief. I also agree with him about the way you take narcotics. IF you need to take narcotics for pain relief, and many people do, the lower the dose the better and the less often you take it the better. Some people do need round the clock pain management. But in doing that, you will become physically dependent. That's where I found myself.
Get off of them now to reduce the potentially horrifying detox/PAWS of Suboxone and just hope and pray that my headaches don’t get the best of me and just stay clean?" How's that for a loaded question with the longest preface know to humankind? Lol!
i was on suboxone for a very severe opiate addiction to heroin and oxycontin, and then any other opiate i could find to help the wd;s when those were unavailable, for 8months. i was able to stay clean the whole time and it worked great. i was on the highest dose, suboxone's main chemical buprenorphine has a ceiling effect meaning that after 32 mgs it actually has a negative effect, the higher you go youll actually experience withdrawals.
Thanks for your comment and well wishes. Yes, suboxone is being toted in the medical community as this miracle drug and advertised and sold to me that way.. Dont know anything other than it ***** and I guess we have to pay our dues no matter what. Thanks again. Ive been reading this forum for hours and its nice to communicate.
i also agree it savedmy life and alone the noone talks about the suboxone not having the bad effects on the liver as tylenol or other drugs do suboxone is exited out the same way as waste if you know what i mean so iam so glaD for the opportunity to have been one to discover the good side even though i know some time i will have to come off these but when i do i will also have changed my thinking process as i have already begun to do so i think i will be able to fight even harder thanks again an
I have actually received 3 raises and 2 promotions in the past year that I've been addicted to opiates. I just started on suboxone and it seems to be working but I guess time will tell.
I just recently started Suboxone for my Oxcy and Oxcycodone addiction and its been 6 days now and all day every day headaches and throwing up most of the time after I eat! Could there be a problem w/ this medication and my body?? Dont get to see my doc for 2 more days and some people are telling me that I should swice to Subutex? Allset w/ methadone been down that road!! This stuff seems to work for my cravings but the taste turns my stomach everytime anyone got any solutions???
I didn't get a buzz on the percs other than pain relief, So it was back on with my life and suboxone. As I said suboxone is only a partial opioid antagonist.
But, I am scared and I am in so much pain. I just want to stop the Suboxone and take a few perc's. That ought to do it. If anyone has been on, or is on, Subox, please let me know how it goes from here. I don't know what to expect. Thanks in advance.
I came to this site and read everything i could, looked at suboxone posts, methodone posts, everything! I read over and over that a long slow taper works best so that's what i did over a 6 month period. I havent had oxys for over 2 years now. I go to NA and AA, my life is soooooooo much better, i cant even describe to you how much better things are. I am choosing life rather than death, my life is getting so good, and i expect things to get even better. I am no longer depressed, etc etc. .
Can anyone tell me the difference between tylenol 3 and hydrocodone, I understand the hydrocodone is a synthetic of codeine, but as far a strength of tylenol 3 vs one 5mg vicodin? What is the addiction factor, what is worse codeine or hydrocodone? Just curious..
i had ankle reconstruction surgery and have been prescribed Tylenol 4. i was on 2 mgs of suboxone . is it possible to take both?
I just started day four of cold turkey from the same exact dosage!!!! Its not as bad as you think to just go cold turkey. Its not fun bit its no going to kill you. Just think to your self " Im going to get the flu tomorow" and follow the Thomas recipe and be prepared and you will be fine. today or tomorrow i am going to do an hour by hour accounting of my experience maybe it will help you?
of course if you cant take ibuprofen, tylenol may help also... hang in there and take some advil lay down and just relax for a bit...it does help... if you ever have any questions about sub, just send me a message, ok? take care and good luck!
Im not positive that your automatically red flagged with sub, but most offices are linked up by computers now or a new doctor will need your medial charts from your old doctor and if they look them over and see suboxone they will probably put two and two together. Now if you got into some bad accident where you absolutely needed something for pain, your still going to get somethiing, they would just be much more careful about how much and how long you would be able to use, which is a Good thing.
hi.so i have been on subs for a year and a half and i have been weaning myself off of because i found out i am pregnant and don't want to harm my baby. i weaned down to .5mg and i was wondering if anyone knew of anything safe to take for pregnant women to lessen my withdrawals? mainly leg pain/cramps.i know tylenol is safe but is there anything else i can also take?? anything would help. thanks!!
For example, if I took Tylenol w/ codeine for a week to get thru the acute WD from suboxone. Would the receptors in my brain knock off the suboxone and replace it with the codeine, and leave me with more WD after that? Just want a dr's opinion.
maybe some tylenol for the body aches. and lots of fluids. depression will probably hang around a bit longer. i myself talked to my doctor and he put me on an antidepressant. i cant really tell if it has helped yet. but i have only been on it for 4 weeks. so i am hoping it will kick in soon. good luck to you and you will start feeling better.
I went through detox and I was put on suboxone and started feeling like this cannot be it.... I took my last suboxone about 9 or 10 days ago and the w/ds are nothing like the w/ds I had in detox just felt yucky. Irritable, achy, yawns u know but not unbearable. there is someone on here and I feel bad but I cannot remember her name but she knows ALOT about Suboxone and helped to explain all of it to me. i will browse the forum and see if i can find her name for you good luck.
Isn't it crazy that I m in a hopital dstoxing from suboxone? today I am on 4 mg today and tomorrow. I just looke And 1 1/2 months ago I was in the hospital detoxing fro Opana for 10 days. Believe me, this is so sad to myself and to mu child. I have heard people make comments about drugs they has used with suboxone ,and that would be amazing. I would like to keep in touch.
from physical pain anyway, but these headaches have about got me there. I don't want to take 1000mg of Advil/Tylenol or whatever and certainly don't want to get Rxed and opiates seeing how I'm trying to get off suboxone. So my question is is the sub thatis giving me these headaches? I've gotten them before the bike wreck but they weren't this sever.
The suboxone road can be bumpy and is not for everyone. I was addicted to norco for about 5 years. I took about 40 a day (10-325). I tried so many times to stop without succuess. So after doing my research and weighing the pros and cons, I went the suboxone route. For me, it was the right decision. I have been on it for several months and am slowly weaning myself off successfully.
i'm also on suboxone and never experienced the headaches or feeling sick to my stomach ... ck w/the dr. and let us know what he says .. good luck .. suboxone wz a life saver for me .. take care ..
It may not have seemed long to you, but 14 weeks can be a long time with Suboxone and the withdrawal is difficult. Everyone is different. What else have you tried to ease the discomfort such as otc medications or anything?
I have been taking 4/mg of suboxone off the street for the last year and a half to stay off opiates "9 yr addiction", I just recently got medicaide and am getting into a clinic, due to no private doctors in the area taking new patients I have to go through what most would call "drug court" although im not in any trouble with the law. I must attend meeting daily before they will put me on them.
