suboxone

397118 tn?1219762250 caution is advised with 5htp and ssris...i did take 100 - 200 mg 5htp when i was on lexapro and had no problems...it is a caution and i was on 10 mg which i really took just 5 mg of lexapro for wds as i halfed my lexapro.....5htp releases serotonin and so does lexapro so the caution is serotonin overload Methionone is the precursor of SAMe and is more stable and more readily absorbed than SAMe and cheaper...it increses enkephlins and not serotonin///they r not the same...

Avatar f tn he said the anxiety disorder and just the sub giving me anxiety(a side effect) is why i been having so much trouble sleeping. so he siad the lexapro should help with it, and if it dont help with sleep he wants me on a sleeping med. but beides all that. all is well here. got lots to do for the wedding from today and on. im getting so excited. i cant wait. hope everyone is doing good today?
Avatar f tn What I see is a pattern of self-medicating by you and now you are looking to get on Suboxone for the Methadone and taking Lexapro without a doctor. this is all dangerous behavior and it is a vicious cycle. Have you considered inpatient treatment? I ask because you will need to treat not just for the drugs but for the issues that are leading you to this. Is this something you have thought about?
949477 tn?1247796031 I've been taking Suboxone for just over a year (started mid-June '08; at most 8mg/day, currently 4mg/day) and my menstrual cycle is all over the place. Last winter, I had 3 periods with 14 days and 10 days between them; all three were fairly heavy, lasting around 5 days. Now, I haven't had a single period since February, and there's no way I have any STD's or am pregnant save by immaculate conception. My weight hasn't changed much one way or the other.
Avatar m tn So Im thinking up my dose of just the lexapro and stop the sub. I have a problem with being bored and doing homework all day eats at me. I meet with my therapist Saturday,I'll talk to him about this.
Avatar n tn Hey there! I know that a lot of drug manufacturers offer grants and coupons to help people afford their prescriptions. I actually did this a few years ago when I was prescribed Lexapro and didn't have insurance. Go to www.Suboxone.com and see what they have to offer. I don't know if they do this, but like I said a lot of drug companies do. Another thing you may want to look into is sometimes there are local outreach programs for prescription assistance.
1018335 tn?1270080530 I have been on suboxone for 2 years and recently had a baby. It has come to my attention by psychologist and psychiatrists that i have bi polar depression and need to be on something so i don't continue to impair my family's lives as well as my own. I have anger issues and my moods are very unpredictable. I have been this way for a very long time. I have read that you can not take suboxone with certain antidepressants. I used to be on citalopram but it did not work for me.
Avatar m tn OMG, i can relate to A LOT of you situation. I was addicted to hydocodone for 9 years, i have 2 dr.
4805526 tn?1359404749 I am currently on Suboxone and trying to stay off the downward spiral I have been on the last three years. My doctor prescribed me Lexapro to help with severe anxiety and depression. My phamacy gave me Celexa though (not sure if there is much of a difference). Has anyone tried SSRIs during their recovery? Did it help? I really do not want to resort to another drug but the anxiety has been bad. Any words of encouragement or advice are greatly appreciated.
243614 tn?1266197537 My question is, I had lunch the other day with a woman who had helped me with the suboxone study through adapt. She wanted to know how i was feeling and she recommended that i see the dr. who works with the study, he is the only dr. in town who can prescribe sub. She said he does have private patients that he puts on a low dose of sub and it does help with what i am going through. Also, with the arthritic pain that i sometimes have.
1325193 tn?1450127436 Hi. New here. I have taken vic about three times in my life. The second and this last time are horrible. I had a bad injury at work and was on vic. but have tapered down to three a day. My doc put me on tramadol and the first two days off the vic i had no problems, but now on day 4 of no vic i have horrible bathroom problems, anxiety, and others. How long will this last. I am currently taking lexapro from the second time I was on vic.

Avatar f tn wow I will tell you this suboxone is NOT AT ALL FOR PAIN. I know I tried suboxone and I have true pain and it did nothing for my pain and I also know others that have tried also and same nothing for pain. He should have told you why switch if you ask me something is up and he thinks you have some kind of problem he the only doctor you go to....Something is not being told make no sense at all.
Avatar f tn Thanks for responding. I was on Lexapro before and think I was better on that. I take 100mg of Zoloft now. I had w/d with the Lexapro. I dread going through it.
1111231 tn?1258903083 I personally tapered my dose quite drastically and just dealt with the bad part! Suboxone can help but it is habit forming also! I'm almost through day 4 of clean and have felt fine for the last two days except for a few minor head games! Tapering and cold turkey aren't for everyone but if use suboxone be careful and good luck! Remember you have to be 100% mentally ready to quit or you won't! Always remember it gets a lot better in time!
Avatar n tn Knowledge is power. Suboxone is a very strong and powerful partial opiate and is extremely addicting and difficult to kick (take it from me and many others).. however it can also be a very useful tool in detox. It should be used with caution, under a doctors care (also be wary of doctors recommending long term use). There is a member on here who has detoxed off both methadone and suboxone in his life and Ill reacch out to him and ask him to respond to this post.
677105 tn?1226274313 When I decided I wanted to try Suboxone to get clean, I went to Suboxone.com to find a certified doctor. I called one on the list that lives near to me and called. They told me I could come in that afternoon and that he required at least 4 visits for $250. I said "wow, that is a great price". I made my appointment and went in.
Avatar f tn hi Thank you for your quick replys! I still haven't seen obgyn yet, I lived in crowded community and first available is July 31st so I'm going to keep looking to find someone to see me asap, I am 7 weeks today, just by going by first day of my last period. My sub doctor may not even want to prescribe it to me, I've only been seeing him for last 3 months I may have to see the one I saw in suburbs. (I'm in Chicago) Lynn, Congrats!
689327 tn?1240229164 In the past yr I have been on celexa, lexapro , Zoloft and now back on lexapro because the 200 mg of Zoloft was making me shakey. None of these AD's seem to work aty anxiety and depression. The only slight relief I get is from klonopin, which I have been on for a yr also (low dose .25mg 3x's a day. My podcast keeps telling me to be patient because it takes time for these mess to work .
Avatar n tn No disrespect, but this is one of the more absurd questions I have read. You are on an anti-depressant (lexapro) and consuming alcohol, a CNS depressant, AND taking another mind-numbing substance (Vicodin). You should be taking Lexapro ONLY to deal with depression or whatever reason you are taking it. Both other meds are contraindicated for Lexapro. Smarten up.
Avatar m tn Equivalencies are generalizations, and you are an individual. Besides, Pristiq is a different class of drug than Lexapro. Lexapro is an ssri while Pristiq is an snri. And if it were me, which it isn't, I'd start at a low dosage and work my way up on any medication so I could see how bad the side effects were and the lowest dosage at which it works is.
Avatar n tn Is lexapro and xanax the same? If not, what is the difference and does the lexapro make you feel the same as xanax do??
Avatar n tn Hi All, I am a 30 year old male suffering from obssessive thoughts, I had a stomach ulcers 6 years back and i use Rabeprazole 20 mg daily as a maintenance therapy, My GP suggested escitalopram (Lexapro 10mg) daily, after 2 weeks using the medicine i feel much better and my thoughts have come down, however 2 weeks into the medication i started having severe stomach burning sensation especially in the upper stomach behind the breast bone and the center of the rib cage, i recognise its the same fee
Avatar n tn I'm in my mid 30's, and a new friend that I met several months ago is always sneaking off to pop various pills - mostly she's got Adderall, Xanax, Alprazolam, Suboxone 8mg, lexapro, roxicet, and a few others that aren't in any packaging. What would be signs of abuse? Sometimes she seems very out of it altogether, and it can take her a long time to put her thoughts together & spit the words out, and other times she acts very normal. She drinks alcohol daily.

1253246 tn?1332073310 Patients who suffer from depression and other mood disorders are often prescribed medications from the drug class known as selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors, or SSRIs. Lexapro is an SSRI that is commonly prescribed for depression and other mental health disorders. Unfortunately, the use of Lexapro has the potential to cause injury to the liver resulting in hepatitis and elevated liver enzymes. Read more: http://www.livestrong.
