Suboxone and hydroxyzine

Common Questions and Answers about Suboxone and hydroxyzine

suboxone

Avatar n tn Has anyone tried the hydroxyzine for anxiety? I took the pill today and feel weird as heck.
Avatar f tn I was originally given Hydroxyzine 50mg and have taken it for about two months. I stopped a few days ago when I was scheduled for an endoscopy and I've been hesitant to start it again. The last time I took it, I had spasms I hadn't had before. My hand actually shook and had major spasms for a few seconds. Is this a side affect of the Hydroxyzine or the Vagus nerve being irritated? I'm so confused and don't know what I should be doing.
Avatar f tn For the anxiety my doctor prescribed me hydroxyzine, it non addictive, and it helps a little. Not sure what over the counter I could advise for anxiety. Just keep focus and don't give up. You can do this.
Avatar f tn gave me Ativan and fluids (because I lost my appetite completely) and sent me home. Through all this I stopped taking my Suboxone just because my fear was so high about everything. Then on Tuesday I went into a panic attack at work and couldn't get my heart rate to relax so they called 911. Same thing in the ER. This time they sent me home with Hydroxyzine Pam 50mg and I've been taking it religiously every 4-6 hours but I'm definitely afraid to take my Subxone now.
Avatar f tn Well...the Hydroxyzine DID work out for me, and I know it's not addictive, but now that I am clean and sober, I have such a strong affinity for popping pills. I used to take pills like Valium, and Qualudes, and cross-tops,in my teens and twenties, so I have a bad association with them. We even used to call the Speed we did,"antihistimines"...so I hear that word, and I'm like, "no thanks", and do the white knuckle thing, like I've done for years.
Avatar f tn not everyone who takes suboxone has bad withdrawals, and if tapered properly, withdrawals do not last anywhere near as long as methadone. you have done EXCELLENT with your taper off methadone, i am confident you can taper properly off suboxone. the only thing to keep in mind is because methadone withdrawals CAN last so long, you (depending on your decision of course) might need to be on suboxone longer because of this.
Avatar f tn Can I take Hydroxyzine Pamoate (Daily) and Paroxetine HCl Oral (for attacks), with Acetaminophen plus caffeine (for headaches/energy booster), together without having any adverse reactions? I've found that theophylline reacts negatively with caffeine, and MANY websites group hydroxyzine with theophylline. What is the difference between theophylline and hydroxyzine? Thank you!
Avatar m tn s an option, but it may not be an option for everyone, just like suboxone. For some people they can get through withdrawal without prescriptions and just use vitamins and natural supplements, it just depends on each person's individual needs.
142722 tn?1281533616 m taking clonidine for the subox , it helps like 10 percent , I get hydroxyzine and anxiety meds , but the worse is the Suboxone ,, one day they will have to take u off , trust me I am going thru this crap , I also thought I was hooked for life , and they decreased my dose from 2-8 mils a day to 1 -2.05 a day it's hell , methadone yes I do know people who are lifers to this drug .
Avatar n tn I asked my PCP to provide Hydroxyzine 25MG. I will be pick it up today and try it tonight. Hopefully, I can have some restful sleep. The doxepin works sometime but my sleep had always been interruptive as much as 10 times a night. Thanks AJWS6!
Avatar f tn We use Vistaril (Hydroxyzine) in the hospital almost excusively for PRE-operative ANXIETY, POST-operatively to prevent nausea and vomiting, to potentiate opioid analgesics and during severe ethanol withdrawl. We never use it for depression or long term anxiety management.
4494421 tn?1355435226 I used Hydroxyzine 50 mg oral every 6 hours, Fluocinonide ointment topical, and Clobetesol solution topical. The Hydroxyzine is what really did the trick. The topicals help, but the Hydroxyzine is what worked the best. My rash and itching were not under control until I got on high dose Hydroxyzine. If you have medical questions/treatment issues like this it would be better to post in the Hepatitis C forum. This is the social side and not as many people visit here.
Avatar f tn Call your pharmacist. And try to find a therapist and solve this problem, as using drugs to help you sleep can result in worse insomnia. If possible you want to get back the ability to relax.
Avatar m tn i asked him about the hydroxyzine, and he said that it would not help with my rash and that i needed topical and oral steroids. i am continuing to have small areas of rash and the derm says to keep on using the chlobetasol otherwise the rash could spread.
Avatar f tn I finally got the rash and itching under control with oral Hydroxyzine 50 mg every 6 hours (presecription). It was he!l before that. I also use clobetesol soln. and fluocinonide ointment (prescription steroid topicals) as needed. I hope you get some relief soon.
Avatar n tn easily, and you have to be extremely careful in getting down and off of it The same goes with Suboxone, if you stop the medications without tapering off first you will go through horrid horrid wds, Its literally 100x worse than the absolute most severe heroin or fentanyl wd possible. Both suboxone and Methadone wds last longer than a month and get worse and worse each and every day.
Avatar m tn For the past three days I have been experiencing the feeling of numerous painful pin pricks on my sides and chest. This is followed by strong itching. When I scratch the itches, I develop some rashes. I've tried allergy meds, including Benadryl, Claritin and Hydroxyzine, but they don't do anything. The pin pricks occur every 5-30 minutes. What could this be?
Avatar m tn ) I found the best treatment for my rash has been 50 mg of Hydroxyzine every 6 hours (oral) (stops itching and clears the rash). Also, fluocinonide ointment and clobetesol soln. helped locally where I put it (but it did nothing systemically). I used them in conjunction with the Hydroxyzine until the rash got under control and now I just mainly use Hydroxyzine because it is oral and will control the systemic drug reaction. The best doctor to see for the rash is a dermatologist.
Avatar f tn ve been having headaches come and go and my mom and aunt have told me to take care of myself as if I were preg until I find out. But is there something I can take that won't harm the baby (if pregnant?) To get rid of my headaches.
Avatar f tn She gave me 2 meds for withdrawl symptoms - Clonidine and Hydroxyzine Pamoate. I took them and slept all afternoon. Now I feel spacey - it was a huge effort to get out of bed. I don't know how I am going to operate and have a normal life like this - thank goodness it's Friday and I have the weekend without work. Reading the other posts scare me a bit because of how long it seems to take to be over the withdrawl. How long does it really take?
Avatar f tn I made the mistake of being in the sun and heat (70s) for about 30-45 minutes in April and the rash and itching went wild. I took Hydroxyzine and used clobetesol solution and this calmed the rash and itching. By the following day it was back to "normal" ie fairly well controlled as long as I take Hydroxyzine 50 mg every 6 hours.
Avatar n tn im am curious, what was your DOC?, and how much and how long were you using it? cuz suboxone should curb and from personal research and experience found that no matter how severe or how strong the opiate of choice was, it would always curb the wd and stop it after 30-45 mins of taking it...
Avatar f tn Hi, I am sorry you are faced with this rash. I have had a rash since the very beginning and am now in week 10 on incivik. Week 3 it almost sent me crazy and felt like my entire body plus my head was on fire. However it would calm down for a day or two before it reared it's ugly head again. My nurse gave me vistaril (hydroxyzine), that I use when I can't sleep and a cream to put on it and added to try Cetaphl soap and cream and believe it or not it helps some.
Avatar f tn Hi guys, Recently my anxiety has become absolutely terrible. It went from moderate to full blast within the last few months. The worst part about this is the depersonalization which makes it very difficult for me to focus on school work and sometimes it makes it even difficult to hold a conversation with people, and while I don't feel like this all the time it seems as if it's taken over my life, even when I'm not always having a panic attack.
427265 tn?1444076436 For nausea, I found that both phenergan suppositories and pills and the sublingual 8mg zofran were more helpful. I'll say one thing for hydroxine though. In doses of 50mg and above, it does have quite a calming effect (it is also used as a tranquilizer I believe, or has been in the past - phenergan has also been used in the past for its antihistamine and tranq qualities as well as for its ability to help with nausea).
