Suboxone and hydroxyzine

Common Questions and Answers about Suboxone and hydroxyzine

suboxone

I was taking suboxone for 2 years and felt that my doctor was not tapering me down properly. It was really expensive and I no longer wanted to be dependant on medication, so I decided to quit cold turkey ( I was taking 12mg a day). I went through HELL for 2 weeks (nausea, severe irritability, anxiety, hot flahes, cold chills, fever, sweaty palms, back pain, insomnia, and absolutely no energy) before anything started to ease up. I was in the ER because the symptoms were unbearable.
not everyone who takes suboxone has bad withdrawals, and if tapered properly, withdrawals do not last anywhere near as long as methadone. you have done EXCELLENT with your taper off methadone, i am confident you can taper properly off suboxone. the only thing to keep in mind is because methadone withdrawals CAN last so long, you (depending on your decision of course) might need to be on suboxone longer because of this.
Well, no one certainly wanted to freak you out, everyone is just being realistic. 6 weeks of taking Valium regularly would most likely entail some kind of dependency. The situation will vary for each person. The one thing I would say for sure is that you've been taking it long enough to just stop taking it abruptly. "I know valium has ruined lives of people on this site, but I have to believe that it is an excellent drug for a SEVERE crisis situation like my own.
Think about your little ones and concentrate on a healthy pregnancy and the attacks will come less frequently. I wish you lots of luck..
Also on my second month of zoloft, I've been taking tramadol and hydroxyzine hcl and zolpidem er. What do I do?
starts on friday, we are doing it one at a time to help eachother and be here for the kids) anyway he took the pamprin and said it made a world of difference, that with motrin and valerian if needed, I also have a ful script of ambien and klonopins but but never needed it. We also take 1/4 to 1/2 pieces of suboxone that we got from a friend. I know it should be done under the care of a dr but we are only going to use them for a few days not as a matienance plan. Check out suboxone.
And if he is truly a sympathetic doctor and you go to him and strait up tell him you need to kick this habit ASAP he could either yank the hydro's and hydroxyzine and be humane and give you some valium to help you get some sleep at night or he may want you to taper down, but still ask him about some kind of benzo once you get down to like a half off a hydro. Benzodiazepines are nothin to fool with either so just go strictly by the label and maybe 2-3 weeks worth may be all you need.
Anxiety, depression, legs hurting and not sleeping good. The suboxone doc gave me some trazadone for the sleep, boy does that stuff knock you out and leaves me in a fog. He also gave me some hydroxyzine hcl for the anxiety. That helps alot. He told me I would not be right for a couple of weeks? Can you believe that? I wasn't even on a high dose of the sub and tapered pretty quickly. I just didn't have a clue. I was an absolute mess yesterday and also on Saturday at my daughters.
im am curious, what was your DOC?, and how much and how long were you using it? cuz suboxone should curb and from personal research and experience found that no matter how severe or how strong the opiate of choice was, it would always curb the wd and stop it after 30-45 mins of taking it...
easily, and you have to be extremely careful in getting down and off of it The same goes with Suboxone, if you stop the medications without tapering off first you will go through horrid horrid wds, Its literally 100x worse than the absolute most severe heroin or fentanyl wd possible. Both suboxone and Methadone wds last longer than a month and get worse and worse each and every day.
I agree that clonodine can be helpful with withdrawal and could be discussed with your doctor to see if it's an option, but it may not be an option for everyone, just like suboxone. For some people they can get through withdrawal without prescriptions and just use vitamins and natural supplements, it just depends on each person's individual needs.
I also recommend asking your doctor about Atarax (Hydroxyzine hcl 25mg) and lowering your dose of seroquel and taking it earlier in the day as opposed to at night. Im not a doctor or anything i've just been through a lot of trial and error with many things and do a lot of research.
i know it is a blood pressure med that ppl take and it helps the chills and sweating and all of that im just kinda curious to know exactly what you mean by that Good Luck and Godspeed ABritt
5 clonazepam and off of the lorazepam completely, she then put me on buspar and hydroxyzine for addictional help. but in the summer i started to get super drowsy from the daily methadone so a co-worker i once had gave me conceta(time released ritalin) and was able to not focus and work better, but was up and awake.so i saw a therapist for that but while i was there i figured i might as well go for it all and told him i had terrible anxiety and panic attacks, so i was back to xanax 4 mgs a day...
I want to know if anyone has heard of these meds - hydroxyzine, gabapentin and clonazepam!!!! Just worried about taking all of this stuff, but he claims this will help me not feel withdrawals. Just wondering if I will be trading in the fioricet for some new pill addictions. Anyone know of these pills or have taken them.
My dr gave me hydroxyzine instead of Valium. Into a antihistamine. Supposed to help you sleep and relax although it doesnt do much for me. Valium didn't either, but there are alternatives.
He gave me clonidine, bellaphenobarb, hydroxyzine, and ibprofen 800. I also still had norcos left. With my family's help, love, and support I got clean and was doing good for a little over a month. Then I did the stupidest thing by saying yes when I was offered heroin thinking it would just be one time, that one time turned into almost a month. No one in my family ever found out to this day about me relapsing.
He gave me some hydroxyzine and asked me to be admitted because of acetaminophen levels. I passed because even though he was 100% correct, I can't leave my mother alone in the home and I've been through this before. Now I asked him, due to the fact that Im going to be going through withdrawls over the following week (leading up to the hellish day 2 today), I asked him if he'd sign my leave of absence paperwork.
this time the 1rst 2 days were mildly bad and here it is mid day 5 and i feel good (not super) last week i ate 17 norco 10 in and hour and barley felt them,i needed to eat a patch to feel anything mabye its just the support that this fourm can give thanks yall but i think i got it beat this time
I am on day 9 and haven't had as much luck as him and they only seem to be getting worse....hydroxyzine..? wish i could go to a doc to get that...i'd do anything for sleep right now..anything to make my mind stop running aimlessly in circles....rocking back and forth seems to help...minimally might i add....but help none the less.
Ga Guy I am going to go to your website and try to quit C/T. This taper will ot work for me and I do ot wat to talk to my doctor. I don't want to use suboxone or methadone. I am diagnosed as a chroni alcoholic and I kicked that C/T and almost died. I had a mild heart attack during withdrawls. I drank a 1.75l bottle a gin a day for 6 years and have been off alcohol for 4 years.
In answer to questions of the meds he gave me for detox, they are Hydroxyzine (brand name ,Vistaril, an antihistamine which helps with nervousness and anxiety and is a tranquilizer which is not addictive) and the other med is Clonidine, an anti-hypertensive and opiod detoxifier. I must admit...I haven't taken either of these medications so far in my detox process.

Some problems that can cause generalized flu like symptoms and pain would be lupus, lymes disease, or MS. I would go to my doctor and ask for some blood work with these specifically in mind after explaining your symptoms. I probably would not mention the pain meds addiction unless you feel its important though because you may automaticly be biased against and the symptoms dismissed if you do.
it maybe helpful to list everything you are taking, i can ask my friend from work if there is any reaction to the combination i have trouble sleeping too, and i am on a bp med called tenex, the bp meds do not knock me out, i will occasionally take otc pm meds, usually after several nights of not sleeping, a few weeks ago i almost wrecked my car because i was so tired whoever said lack od sleep never killed anyone, was an idiot people think once you detox sleep will come natural but in my experie
It makes me very angry that these Doctors know and aren't telling people. I don't believe that they are ignorant. I've been over and over it again and again. It makes no sense that I would know more as a user of the drug than they would. There's so little on Tramadol or Ultram on the web. Tons on other drugs. Ok so the most alarming part of the Tramadol we would think would be the fact that it is a synthetic opiate. It's a Narcotic. It's just been slipped thru the schedule.
I apologize for any typos but I am doing this by voice because I'm running a fever and can't type, I have a very bad infection as well as a single right now. For 17 years my doctors have prescribed narcotics for me...started with vicodin then percocet then kept increasing as I got sicker and sicker over the years from radiation poisoning and I just had my 16 surgery which was my second open heart surgery for valve disease due to radiation and chemotherapy.
