Avatar f tn Wow, this topic has gone all over with no one really referring to your post. I take suboxone and adderall. Four years on both and don't plan to stop. I have chronic pain from fibromyalgia, and did not do well on opana and adderall as I wound up directly in the mental ward. My life has completely changed since my first suboxone dose. My head is clear, memory coming back, I can get out of bed now.
Avatar f tn This is such a hard situation when you have chronic pain. And you have young kids! I'm a mom too and it is very active and busy. You want to be your best self for the kids, I totally get it! I'm right there with you. So, you have to get through the withdrawals first. And once you do that, it will get better. So, be kind to yourself for this next bit. The medication they prescribed you though shouldn't cause too much withdrawal as it is also an opiate.
Avatar f tn I knew a young man who took about 15 a day and went to a local doctor here in Birmingham, Alabama and the doctor put him on Suboxone and it worked for him, but now after I've read all the good and bad about Suboxone I'm wondering what to do. I read about a medicine that is said to be better called Buprenorphine and was wondering if anyone could give me some information on this.
Avatar f tn a I take Valium 20mg a day for the last 4 months .I was on 10mg aday before foe a few months. Never new I could be addicted to it. I already addicted to opiats .I have been on hydro and Oxycodon for 8yrs. I have Crohn's disease..arthritis fibromyalgia and other helth issues. My body tolerate the pain meds and I really want to quiet it. I tried cold turky but couldn't. ..
Avatar f tn I have migraines, three other types of headaches that were diagnosed in addition to migraines, 4 neck discs arthritic and/or bulging and fibromyalgia. I understand pain. I am tired of the pain myself. I wish you well, please don't give up. Listen to your doc and see if your doc will prescribe Suboxone or something similar to lessen your withdrawal symptoms when they occur. Maybe an antidepressant will help if you are not already on one.
Avatar f tn Yes I did and he told me it wasn’t the Suboxone. I have an appt to see a rhemotologist because I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia years ago which is why I started on the tramodol. He thinks it’s my fib to or something else because my “inflammation” number on my bloodwork was 35 and I think he said it should be around 20. But this pain/tightness/swelling/weight gain started immediately ( within a few days) of starting Suboxone. It’s like fibromyalgia on steroids.
Avatar n tn I have been reading information about LDN therapy for fibromyalgia and wonder if that might help me. It makes me wonder if the Naloxone in the Suboxone might be having the same effect on me that LDN has on patients. Do you think the Naloxone is actually what's helping my pain and fatigue, since it is an opiod antagonist like Naltrexone?
Avatar f tn Diagnosing fibromayaligia is very hard and there is no true definitive diagnosis...no blood test that says...fibromyalgia...so a group of symptoms are clssified as fibromyalgia and that word has been mentioned to me by doctors over the years on several occasions...i did not accept it as my diagnosis tho for some reason...but have chronic back pain and muscle pain for 22 years...and i am getting there....narcotics are just not for everyone...
Avatar n tn i successfully transitioned off methadone to suboxone...i also have fibromyalgia...let me know if you need any help if you choose this route... suboxone can be used to treat pain also, and it is a lot less damaging than methadone or the cycle of addiction itself...
Avatar n tn He put her on Fentyal patch for 5 years and then a counselor suggested she try Suboxone. This Suboxone stuff has been an education -- not many doctors know that much about it. Again, thanks for your comments.
Avatar n tn you will experience some rebound pain when you come off the pain meds this is normal i have an an auto immune disorder as a result of liver disease, the pain is somwhat comparable to fibro.

The oxys blocked the pain, lol! yet again i was never this bad! IT *****!!!!! Thank you so much everyone, godbless and namaste.
537731 tn?1268265286 She said I will always have to go up in dosage on Percocet and with Methadone I wouildnt and that the difference between sub and methadone is sub blocks opiates and doesnt help with pain but methadone was. I have been on the same dosage of perc for years and they dont work as much as they use to. I was just worried about getting my prescription filled period I wasn't going to bring up I am taking more and they dont work the same I am still in pain taking them.
Avatar n tn HE PUTS LOUD MUSIC AND MAKES LOUD SOUNDS OF A SHIP HORN AND PUTS THOSE SOUNDS THROUGH A MICROPHONE, WAKES ME UP AND MY HEAD IS POUNDING WITH PAIN. CAN HIS NOISE AFFECT MY FM? CAUSE I GET WORST WHEN HE STRESSES ME OUT WITH THAT AWFUL SOUNDS HE MAKES.
Avatar m tn s Phenomenon, Fibromyalgia and now Antiphospholipid Antibody Syndrome. I could really use some good suggestions if anyone has any. These clots are killing me from the APS. Have ulcers from the Raynaud's so the typical RA meds are out of the question due to infection. Driving me nuts when one time blood work is normal, the next time it's off the charts. Any ideas?
1046692 tn?1255391835 Doctors have dignosed me with fibromyalgia, diabetic neuropothy, chrons disease, IBS, diabetes and a list of others. I could go on but I want to stay on task here. Getting off these pills is my sole focus in life right now because I do know that eventually the addiciton will only get worse. The kicker is....I'm allergic to ibuprofen and asprin upsets my stomach terribly. Guess it could be worse...at least I do have some relief from the pain.
Avatar f tn I took Methadone about 36 hours before I took my first dose of Suboxone and I was instantly out of W/Ds. I also look back on my life on Methadone and realized for that 2 and 1/2 years I let my house go to crap and pretty much sat around and didn't care about much of anything. Now I'm prego again and I'm so friggin glad that I'm on Subutex rather than Methadone. I hurt to see my baby suffer thru W/Ds like that. I still haven't gotten over that.
Avatar n tn I am a 28 year old female,I have been on suboxone for 5 years from a 2 year addiction to Vicodin and OxyContin, I was told I could take it for chronic pain I have fibromyalgia, interstitial cystitis, and endometriosis, I have later realized this medication is far worse than if I would of just finished withdrawing off my pain meds.
Avatar f tn If you become pregnant while taking SUBOXONE, alert your doctor immediately as there may be significant risks to you and your baby; your baby may have symptoms of withdrawal at birth. Avatar m tn hi, i am a suboxone user for 3 years and starting to taper down slowly. i am currently on 1mg morning and 1 mg evening. Yesterday i was prescribed tramadol by a different doctor for my pain and migraine. What i need to know is if it is OK to take tramadol while i am on suboxone? i am afraid that if i take tramadol tonight, the next morning when i dose my suboxone i will feel a very discomfort feeling or withdrawal.
Avatar m tn But, I have a new insurance company. My question is - I was on suboxone for the pain and it did not work. So I have a new doc appt next week, and am certain he will give me oxycodone. Should I go to a different pharmacy? I thought there is a central database where any can see that I just got subs filled last month. I plan on telling my new doc that I even tried them for pain. I don't want to get into trouble.
Avatar m tn I asked my doc if I could get back on it while taking Suboxone and he said yes and perscribed it to me again. My question is if I should be taking these two meds together or not? I know my doc perscribed them to me but I can't help but question if it's ok. Does anyone have any takes on this? I am taking 8mg Sub 2x daily and 30mg Adderall 2x daily right now.
868038 tn?1239503145 Has anyone had a problem with not getting the full amount of use from your pain medication since gastric bypass. I had Lap RNY July 1st 2002. I have Lupus and fibromyalgia and live my life in chronic pain. Although I take Norco for the Lupus pain and dilaudid for my severe migraines they don't work for me was well as I know they should anyone else have this problem?
Avatar f tn I have been on suboxone for 3 years. Yesterday, I had 2 teeth pulled and my mother in law gave me some tramadol. Without even thinking (and I think I was under the impression that it wasn’t an opioid) I took a 50mg. My question is.. when can I safely take my suboxone dose? I should also add that I took the tramadol at 1:30pm and it is now 9:00pm and I have not taken any of my next suboxone dose yet. I quickly realized I may have screwed up.
Avatar f tn I can't follow your original post. Are you taking both Diluadids and Suboxone and/or wanting to? Like TrayCee said, Suboxone's is primarily used for withdrawal. Are you seeing two different doctors?
573297 tn?1304709140 Does anyone have both dx and yet their pdoc doesn't believe them? I got diagnosed like 8 years ago I think (kind of don't remember...the exact time) but now this year I get dx of bipolar and my pdoc doesn't believe I have fibromyalgia...I know I have the pain....and it feels like it is coming back, and if so this is the fourth flare up (one lasting two years, one lasting 6 months to a year, one was three months because of the depo-provera shot) what do I do to get taken seriously?
