Suboxone and dxm

Common Questions and Answers about Suboxone and dxm

suboxone

my boyfriend's mother has a torn rotator cuff, and for a while was taking percocet until we (unfortunately) introduced her to oxy. she was also addicted, and is tapering VERY slowly. i had an appointment today to get suboxone but i decided against it, as i don't want anything on my permanent record. my boyfriend's mother has taken off the week of may 10th and intends on going cold turkey.
One thought though and I talked about it in the first thread, Suboxone is now out and it can be used as a maintenance drug. I truly believe that some addicts NEED opiate maintenance. For me I've relapsed too many times to count, and I was so sick of failure. Now I'm taking one pill a day and I don't have any desire (at least not much) to take anything else. Are you positive there are no meetings in your area. I thought they were everywhere.

Q: What is dextromethorphan? Dextromethorphan is a safe and effective active ingredient found in many nonprescription cough syrups, tablets, and gel caps. When used accordingly to medicine label directions, the ingredient dextromethorphan produces few side effects and has a long history of safety. When abused in large amounts, it can produce a "high" feeling as well as a number of dangerous side effects. Q: What are the effects of cough medicine abuse?
Vicodin and methadone......Been free of the vikes for over 2 years and the methadone for a little over 9 months.
I'm not sure if tramadol is even strong enough for a doctor to write you suboxone. Even 2mgs would probably end up getting you high and then dependant. I'm not sure. tramadol is very different than trying to help someone get off oxy or hydrocodone. Those two like morphine, codeine, hydromorphone, roxicodone, and heroin are all a specific type of opiate antagonist or agonist that are different from your tramadol.
These are often prescribed for runners, sports injuries to joints, and those suffering from arthritis. Syva labs has recently reworked its Cannabinoid test and claims to have eliminated this problem. But a Science magazine article (July 8, 1988) lists Ibuprofen as cross reactive. Under the new government guidelines THC testing levels will be reduced to 50 nanograms. Many more THC false positives can be expected in 1994. Dristan Nasal Spray, Neosynephren, Vicks Nasal Spray, Sudafed, etc.
ive attempted to detox off them several times and i get to about day 8-10 and cave. ive been told that suboxone withdrawal isnt as painful as heroin (which it isnt, esp when your only taking 2mg a day) but the withdrawal duration is sooo much longer, heroin physical withdrawals last about 6 days til u can feel your body start to get better. when suboxone physical withdrawals last a few weeks until you start to feel better.
, in my own personal experience, darvocet was an appropriate choice for me, because i had already tried suboxone, and the suboxone was too much like methadone FOR ME i do not speak for anyone other than myself, when i compare detox from suboxone vs.
It really helps many symptoms... Apples, bananas, and the Hylands for RLS ( cold medicines with DXM also help the RLS and the associated sinus issues) Lots of water and juices Hot baths with Epsom salts, several times a day Motrin/Advil You'll find after a few days that your pain will lessen. Take the OTC's. I wish you well,I know it can't be easy for you. Keep in touch!
Also, get some cold tablets containing DXM which I don't always recommend. But it works for sleep and RLS and other symptoms. It actually works very well...and I know you're desperate. I hope you get some sleep...you'll feel a lot better!

Welcome Tram Warriors! Part 60. Wow. Over the years of recovery and reading about others, seeing others recover the main thing I have learned is that everyone's life is better without being a slave to Tramadol. You might be stuck and scared right now, but you can make the decision to get yourself off the hamster wheel of Tramadol dependency and even addiction. You don't have to live that way. There's lots of people here to help.
It's going to be ok.
So I think its time to wean off the lyrica and ativan and get on suboxone even if its for 1-2 months then wean off. And please don't take anything I'm staying as me being a b¡tch but I'm being realistic along with everyone else. Ur saying ur not going to spoke it anymore and just take it by mouth??? How is tht getting clean? Its not any better ur still using just in a different way. Thts like me saying OK I'm not going to shoot h anymore I'll only snort it. See how crazy tht sounds??
By the way, if anyone is curious, I tried quitting a few months ago with about 8-8mg Suboxone, and the withdrawals from those are WORSE THAN THIS....if you can imagine, so I started back on the pills and then quit cold turkey with my vitamin regimen...I will send that as soon as I can type and feel better. I am here for you, donewpills, and thanks, Gnarly, for the info!
I did some research on it and it is used for withdrawals. It has been 90% easier than before and trust me, I know how bad it is. The only syptoms I have had this time is I'm just a little cold and a bit of anxiety but nothing like before. I guess it's not normally prescribed for withdrawals because it has not been approved for that but I would think most docs would prescribe it because it can be used for pain and is a non narcotic. There are many other uses for it.
