suboxone

1289146 tn?1276083338 Have no real tolerance to benzos and never really had a problem with them addiction wise just pain killers and my doc knows this. Can anything be perscribed along with suboxone for anxiety or will my doc more than likely say thats a no no and to deal with it.
Avatar n tn I have been on suboxone for 3 years know and i have just been bumped up to 24 mg per day. i have really be anxiety all the time. Is it safe to take suboxone and clonopin together?
Avatar m tn The anxiety may not be from the Suboxone. I suggest that you post in the Anxiety Community for one and speak with your prescribing doctor. It is possible that your medication may need to be adjusted. I hope this all works out for you.
Avatar f tn I am on suboxone prescribed by my doctor, well I resently moved out of town and found a new suboxone dr who has prescribed me all these medications to take along with taking the suboxone. I am soooooo scared to take what he has told me to take seeing all these horror storys online about mixing benzos and suboxone. Well if anyone can help me feel better or if they have had this experience also please post keep in mind I have never took any of these medications before other then the suboxone.
Avatar f tn Well I wish I could give you a definitive answer, but I'm not quite as far as you are in recovery. I was on suboxone for over 6 years and have 22 days off it. I'm still in the no sleep at night and high anxiety in the evenings period. I just can't shake the rls and insomnia. My anxiety comes and goes, but when it is high I try to remember what is going on and not to panic. Please let me know how your sleep pattern is and what you may have done to overcome the insomnia.
Avatar n tn Two weeks ago I went to the ER with withdrawal symptoms, and a dr wrote a rx for suboxone with the pretense that I sign something saying I will go to his office in 3 days. (He only gave me 3 days worth of suboxone.) So I went in on a Thursday and we talked. He said "You basically have three options. You can check yourself into rehab, you can be on suboxone or subutex (kind of the same thing, just one contains another ingredient), or you can just suffer.

1818670 tn?1324702522 I told my suboxone doc last time I was in to see him that I was having a lot of anxiety even with my depression meds and suboxone so he prescribed my Clonidine twice a day- 0.1mg Has this med worked on others?? I know it is used for other things and I just dont see a difference, but know I cant have too much cause its for BloodPressure as well, right?? I dont know,.. So if anyone can post and we can go from here with questions!!! I would appreciate it! Thanks!
Avatar n tn My husband is trying to detox with suboxone and we need to know if he can take it safely. Also, the suboxone doesn't seem to be taking away his withdrawls, he is antsy, has rls, hot and cold, sneezing, nauseaus, very very sick. He has been taking 24-32mg of suboxone and I thought that was a really high dose. He was on about 900mg of oxycodone a day, so maybe that has something to do with it? Anyone please help! Thank you so much in advance!
Avatar m tn Ive been taking 24mg of suboxone and 1mg of clonopin 3× anday for 3months now. This will be the 3rd time ive been on suboxone. Before this time I was on methadone maintenance for around 4 years ,I was also taking alot of benzos and drinking heavily . Everything had turned to **** as usual .
Avatar f tn the clonidine helps a lot with the sweats, chills, and blood pressure fluctuations, the benzos are extremely helpful in stopping the insane anxiety, insomnia, muscle cramping and spasms, and restlessness. then i would get OTC immodium and an anti-diarrhea, and a OTC anti-nausea medicine. i also had some ambien for sleep as well. my detox was done in a hospital supervised but you can do it on your own if you think you can handle that.
Avatar m tn I am somewhat stable on 2 mg of Suboxone but still have tremendous anxiety/fear and severe pain that comes and goes all over my body, but primarily my lumbar back and relentlessly stiff and painful leg muscles, and my shoulders and bicep still hurt when doing almost anything. I am torn between wanting more pain control versus returning to the miserable life of narcotics.
Avatar f tn My psychiatrist has even written a letter to some clinics stating I cannot come off of the Xanax but they still refuse to take me and want to put me on Suboxone and I do not know what to do. I CANNOT TAKE THE PAIN ANYMORE.
Avatar m tn Did you abruptly quit the opiates? You could be in cold turkey withdrawal. That's one possibility. Know that wellbutrin is a stimulating antidepressant and isn't usually used for primary anxiety as it can cause anxiety. I don't know that an antidepressant is what you need, but if you did for anxiety that isn't the one to start with.
Avatar f tn ve been reading alot of posts on here where people are dealing with anxiety while going thru detox or taking suboxone and just wanted to share my experience, 7 years ago after taking narcotics and getting addicted, I went to a doctor who introduced me to suboxone, but the one thing I had really bad was anxiety and the last thing I wanted was to get benzos and she gave me a medication called Vistaril, it's not a benzo, it's not addictive and it works great for anxiety.
229538 tn?1300377767 congrats, thats awesome 40days. cant wait to get there myself. im 14 days clean. good luck in the future.
Avatar f tn m really nervous about starting the suboxone because I am currently taking .5 clonopin twice a day and buspar 20 mg twice a day for anxiety and have read some bad things with combining these two with suboxone, my doctor said it was fine and I should not be reading about it but I'm still pretty nervous about combining the three.
428176 tn?1205555587 Since then I went to Herbal treatment for anxiety and sleep. Check out the health pages (top right) for information on Suboxone and all sorts of good information on Amino's, WD, PAWS, very good info. I was told by my Dr. to take 16mg a day and that was way to much. Try taking 8 or 4 mg twice a day if you have WD then try a little more into you are comfortable. 32mg is a lot. Good luck and all go over the info on Suboxone WD and tapering off. YOU CAN DO IT & SO CAN I.
Avatar n tn m so impatient that I may just take the Suboxone right now and find out for myself. Scary! If my arms and legs start going insane (more than they already are) I'll be back to let everyone know not to ever take Suboxone so soon after taking Tramadol.
Avatar n tn For me, the Klonopin was actually a very helpful tool in tapering down my Suboxone. The biggest problem I and many have is dealing with the anxiety that creeps in when you decrease your dose. Having the Klonopin allowed me to go from 8mgs to 2mgs of Suboxone per day over the span of 2 weeks. One of the biggest problems with quitting Suboxone or Methadone or any opiate for that matter is that people think they are going to be just fine if they taper down and quit.
Avatar f tn Is it possible to avoid and narcotic since u have an addictive behavior and try other ways to manage anxiety
684726 tn?1228485621 Hi Nattefrost - I know we are all different but the anxiety and panic attacks were very unexpected and scary for me too coming off suboxone. I never expected it and had not experienced it in any other drug detox...and I never had anxiousness or panic attacks before in my life.. it got better though. Mine ususally peaked around 5 pm. Deep breathing and exercise helped it a lot. I still have a bit of anxiousness at times but its much better now.
Avatar m tn My Suboxone doctor (a psychiatrist) was actually pretty saddened when I told him that none of the previous doctors ever suggested therapy for my anxiety and depression. After I finished my Suboxone taper and my drug abuse counseling I continued therapy with anxiety specialist. In the beginning I saw my therapist every week, but with the tools I was given I was quickly able to take hold of my anxiety without medication. Now I see my therapist maybe everything 3 weeks to a month.
142722 tn?1281533616 I have to have a C-Section on May 11th, two months from now, I just started suboxone and my sub dr said he would like to see me stay on suboxone through the entire pregnancy and after for a few months. I have been reading on line and am scared because I may not get the pain relif I need. I have had two and it is painful :( My tolerance will be very high and they might not give me high levels of pain med to help :( maybe I should go off the suboxone by that time ???
Avatar f tn See if your doctor can write you a prescription for some Requip for restlessness, Neurontin for anxiety and malaise, some Flexeril or Soma for a few weeks for muscle spasms and maybe some Seroquel low dose, for sleep and Klonopin which will be helpful for sleeplessness and anxiety. It will make your withdrawals easier. Valerian and Magnesium is sometimes helpful remedies over the counter. The residual symptoms of insomnia and depression can last another few months.
Avatar m tn You also have some other medical conditions that may respond well to suboxone now but in a negative way later, like anxiety and depression. If you decide at some point that suboxone is no longer a benefit to you, you're facing a tough task getting off of it. Using suboxone also complicates surgery as it blocks the effects of many drugs used as anesthesia.
