Avatar f tn I was placed on Bystolic and started having chest pains about a week later. Cardiologist stopped Bystolic and placed me on Metoprolol ER and performed an echo, ekg, stress test and myocardial perfusion imaging study. MPI study showed an anterior wall perfusion defect and he felt it was due to breast tissue as ekg, echo and other views on MPI were normal. Chest pains went away for about a week and now are back. I am concerned that maybe he was wrong.
Avatar m tn I just had a Stress MPI test and they found that my Ejection Fraction is 39%. Something about my Left Ventricle Wall having an abnormality. What does this mean?
Avatar m tn 1) 1mm horizontal ST depression at Bruce Stage 3. METS 10.2 (Slight chest discomfort) 2) Moderate to severe reversible defect in the distal to basal inferior & inferolateral walls of left ventricle 3) Stress defect represents 18% of the Left Ventricle by polar map quantitation. 4) Post stress Gated SPECT showed normal LV size & function with hypokinesia of Septum. 5) Post stress LVEF 58% EDV 103ml. Rest LVEF 56%EDV 95ml Scheduled for an Angiogram in 2 weeks. Is the test results bad?
Avatar m tn I just had a Lexiscan MPI NUCLEAR Stress Test. It showed a perfusion defect in my heart. I just had open heart sugery 5 months ago.(double bypass) I'm experiencing a heaviness in my chest and some chest pain, should I be concerned.
Avatar m tn Thanks, ed34. I realize there are other factors, but I have none of those either. No family history and no stress. I'm already semi-retired. The only stress would be pain related and I've learned to live with that. I did get the cardiology report today and there are a lot of inconclusives. They couldn't even determine the wall motion or EF. So, I'm not putting a lot into this test. It seems it didn't do anything other than muddy things up even more.
Avatar f tn I recently had a nuclear stress test done after having some random chest pains and an abnormal regular stress test done. I got the results today and my follow up isn’t until Tuesday so I’m hoping someone can help me understand this better because google is scary. A little background - I am a 34 year old female, slightly overweight, non smoker (but did smoke socially 10+ years ago) and I live an active lifestyle. I have anxiety but no other health problems.
Avatar f tn Two weeks ago, I spent two days in the hospital due to chest discomfort and shortness of breath along with shoulder, neck and arm pain. I did not fare well on the treadmill test, so I underwent a heart cath which was normal. The problem is, I'm still having shortness of breath just climbing stairs or other household chores and chest discomfort. I'm not sure where to turn next as I feel like there is still something going on. Has anyone else had any of these issues?
Avatar n tn One of the doctor told me to take MPI ( This is the test I got it done for same symptoms and they said my artires are like small baby). Can some body suggest.
Avatar m tn He was hospitalized for a week and he was under cardiac surviellance for a week under which he went through ECG, Echocardiogram, Angiogram, and Stress Thallium Test (after 15 days of discharge from Hospital). His stress thallium states as follows: Patient is a case of CAD, hypertension, and type 2 diabetes mellitus with ischaemic cardiomyopathy. Recent CAG shows 70% mid and distal LAD stenosis, 50%om2, and 60-70% RCA lesion. Stress MPI scan is being done to evaluate for reversible ischaemia.
Avatar f tn It was " suggested " that I have a stress test. It's not mandatory so I'm wondering if I should have one done at all. Has anyone had a stress test? If so what did the results reveal?
Avatar f tn I have an apt today to do a stress test since am over due. I want to go in there informed, does anyone know what it is or whats going to happen?
Avatar f tn In a low risk pregnancy a non stress test or stress test would only be warranted if their was a concern. However diabetics (both gestational and non) have a higher rate of stillborn babies (still rare, but better to be safe) so its common practice to keep a closer eye as the pregnancy nears the end.
