What it is was, i`m a 39 year old male I had my stress test and echo yesterday and i`m crapping myself about the results, the positives i`m taking from it are there was no increase in chest pain, i didnt collapse, there werent any ecg changes from the treadmill, pulse was nice and regular throughout and no contrast needed for the images from the echo, the negatives BP was sky high, was very tachy and was out of breath (i am after all unfit lol).

I'm scheduled for a chemical stress test, my doctor's nurse said that they're going to use Lexiscan. If anyone has had any experience with Lexiscan I would really wish to know what to expect. I've read some positive things about Lexiscan and mostly negative things. I have asthma and wish to know if anyone has had problems breathing when administered this drug. I've also heard that I can experience nausea and vomiting. Although the doc told me not to eat or drink anything.
We need some sort of "key" to refer to with all of the abbreviations. I am a fairly young person (29) and spend a lot of time online...but I still have no idea what AF, BFN, etc means. there are soooo many of them...i can't keep up..and I am totally lost. HAHAHAHA.

we all may have other issues in addition to the added stress or emotional over loads....but it is all a result of Chiari affecting our control center....
Your first appointment is on my due date :) there isn't much you need to do for your first one. They'll give you a pap smear, do an ultrasound and you'll get to see the heartbeat. You'll probably do blood work and get lots of information about being pregnant. Good luck, it's a fun journey!
It was " suggested " that I have a stress test. It's not mandatory so I'm wondering if I should have one done at all. Has anyone had a stress test? If so what did the results reveal?
In a low risk pregnancy a non stress test or stress test would only be warranted if their was a concern. However diabetics (both gestational and non) have a higher rate of stillborn babies (still rare, but better to be safe) so its common practice to keep a closer eye as the pregnancy nears the end.

Has anyone taken a stress test ? My doctor got me so worried. I told him today at my appt that my baby doesn't move as much as he use to everyone else told me it's bcuz he's losing space. So I wasn't too concerned and now my doc wants to make sure everything is okay so tomorrow I'm going in for a stress test . Has anyone done this? I'm pretty worried now :( I just want everything to be okay.
So I am 37 yrs old and had to do stress test on my last appt which I was 37 weeks and failed and was hooked up to machine for almost an hour so sent me to have ultrasound and baby seemed fine but I feel as if she isnt moving as much and I know towards the end they run out of room but im nervous any ideas this is my 3rd child
There is a non stress test AND a stress test.... There are different reasons for both. During a non stress test they hook you up to a monitor and just keep an eye on baby's movements and heart rate... During a stress test they hook you up to a monitor but they induce contractions to see how baby reacts.
