Im very stressed out because of my situation im so scare i might go in labor early than my due date can any1 tell me what stress does to the baby im tryn to stop stressing but my situation not letting me im 16 weeks
Does anyone know how they do the test to check for down syndrome?
I believe stress does affect you and your unborn baby but not in a bad way. Baby can come out alil irritated. When you can practice some relaxation, when you feel like crying go out somewere go for a walk at the park talk to your family so you wont feel lonley and sad. And its not a bad idea putting your last name to your baby. Im doing the samething to my child he is having my last name.
There is a non stress test AND a stress test.... There are different reasons for both. During a non stress test they hook you up to a monitor and just keep an eye on baby's movements and heart rate... During a stress test they hook you up to a monitor but they induce contractions to see how baby reacts.
Has anyone had to a stress test type of thing?
So my unborn son dad is in jail. He been in there since September 8th, I been putting money on my phone for him to call and check on me and the baby. I was ok with it at first the calls is $6 a call and $6 to put the money on so $12 a call. Now my oldest son dad is in the same jail and he calls a lot as well but my cell phone which has no money on it at all.
( I just want everything to be okay.
In a low risk pregnancy a non stress test or stress test would only be warranted if their was a concern. However diabetics (both gestational and non) have a higher rate of stillborn babies (still rare, but better to be safe) so its common practice to keep a closer eye as the pregnancy nears the end.
Im going thru alot of stress and not getting along with my partner..and not eating alot and always crying. . I think this is is between me and my partner i dont think he love me and my unborn child...i need help...can anybody give me any advice on how to handle this?
Some of the effects can include pre-term labour, low birth weight, irregular heart beat. There just some of the things that can occur. It's hard to say what effect it will have on the baby. Id try to eliminate what stress you can and just take it easy. I'm a senior manager for a big company so I had a lot of stress and pressure on me daily but eventually it caught up with me. It wasn't until Friday last week I realized the effect it was having on me and my baby.
Regardless if there's successful smoking stories ( baby being born healthy), We know as mothers that we are not doing what's good for our unborn babies. Im not saying we are bad people, you notice I say WE. Im just saying its not good regardless to if we see the effects. So lets stop.
I have resorted to drinking every day and getting drunk to cope with all the stress. But at the end of the day all I can think about is this unborn child. I also do smoke occasionally but only when my friends or family offer it to me. I dont know what to do. I feel so bad about myself I just wanna die. I want to love this baby just like I did with my firstborn but there is just so much stress. I just cant cope with it.
I know how you feel. I get panic and anxiety attacks every day...but for me meds make it worse. Hope it gets better for you hun cause every one is different.
I agree with everyone else here. In the days gone by in history...people drank and smoked liked chimneys and for the most part their babies were blessedly fine. Tell you Doctor the deal.... you didn't know. Don't beat yourself up!!! Plus, if you really only did a few, the baby is probably fine. Even if you were doing more than you admitted there is a good chance the baby will be fine if you stop now.
Do see an OB/GYN as soon as possible before making any decisions on your own.
