8818986 tn?1406114699 So I have to go now every week for a stress test that they are going to be doing on my baby because I have extra fluid. Does anybody know how they do it?
471949 tn?1236904026 Last year I had a chemical stress test there. Problem is there was no doc in the room or even nearby at all! In the past when I've had stress tests done at civilian hospitals there was always a cardio-doc in the room--just in case. Two years ago I had a treadmill test and collapsed halfway through the test. I told the VA cardio doc this...he dismissed it (as well as the fact that the last doc gave me a chemical test just for that reason) and said "you'll be fine".
Avatar m tn Accelerated HR and normal BP response ST Depression in L2,L3, AVF, V4-V6. Stress test is positive for inducible myocardial ischemia. Exercise capacity is good. I did not had any pain during the complete test cycle. The doctor said there is a very very mild change in the stress test and considering my family history (2 of my fathers younger brothers died due to heart attack) suggested for an invasive angiogram to rule out any possibility of a heart problem.
Avatar f tn @emma that's wat I said! Only thing they picked up on my us was a tiny light spot in his heart which the counselor told me its not a big deal bcuz his heart was great also one kidney was 4.2 the other 4.0...but I'm told that fluid is common in boys & goes away...
9263335 tn?1403463032 So me & my husband are at the hospital with my 3 yr old brother & it breaks my heart to see him in so much pain. He's been in & out of the hospital since May 13 & my mom only told me 2 weeks ago that he had been hospitalized. I'm praying that he gets better because they keep saying it's Leukemia & then it's not & it's frustrating that they don't know 100%.

Avatar f tn I am planning on volunteering in hospitals and shadowing E.R. doctors because I want to become a doctor. The only problem is when I'm in a hospital setting, see blood, or sometimes even talk about gory things I get lightheaded. I don't get "grossed out" by anything like that and I am not afraid of needles.. It seems to be all psychological. It is very frustrating because as much as I want to be in the hospital, my body doesn't agree with it.
7656727 tn?1404157447 i absolutely love orange coast memorial off the 405 in orange county! i specifically moved in with my mom who lives down the street , leaving my home in L.A county to give birth there.
Avatar f tn Some hospitals it is now standard to drug test all newborns. It isn't done by a blood test though. They test the baby's first stool which is usually passed pretty soon after birth. If it were done by blood test they would just run it with any blood they collected for other standard post-birth testing.
Avatar f tn Hi all. Has anyone switched hospitals in the second trimester? I'm 17 wks so far have liked the hospital I'm at but have heard bad things about birth at this hospital, and another hospital in my area has a much better reputation for birth. Does it really matter so much where you go? It seems like a hassle to switch at this point but may be worth it?

Avatar f tn The cardiologist put me on a 24 hour portable EKG machine to monitor the palpitations and prescribed a Echocardiogram and Nuclear Stress Test to be done the same week. I got both of them done last week. He said the echo looked fine, but the EKG under stress was abnormal. The pictures taken after the treadmill walk apparently also showed that some part (about 10%) of my heart was not receiving enough blood.
Avatar f tn Just go the nearest hospital and tell them your in labor, you have to give them information about the main hospital you get care in for your baby. If they ask you if you planned your pregnancy, you say yes. Make sure you have all your medical papers with you, this will make it a simple for you and them so they can take better care of you and your baby. And make sure you take some baby clothing with you and your baby car seat, show them your serious about your baby.
Avatar f tn Been in the hospital since 8am this morning, it's now 12:17am running a fever and bad contractions, no dilation though so they are keeping me over night because I'm in a ton of pain. Wish I knew what was going on!?

Avatar m tn My girlfriend suffers from unexplained drops in blood pressure, sometimes causing her to pass out and even stops her breathing. Tests in hospitals in England have come up with nothing but blaming the drop of blood pressure (sometimes as low as 54/47), but can find no cause for why it drops. They succesfully induced the fainting through tests where she had to step up and down a low platform and running on a treadmill, three times resulting in them having to use crash pads to bring her back.
Avatar f tn Lookig at westmead public and blacktown public does anyone have any experience with these hospitals that can help me make a disission. I had my other two kids at nepean private and daughter at westmead private as I had private health insurance but I dont have it this time.
Avatar n tn You would hate to have to do the test over again, simply because you had something in your system that made your body react in a different way than usual.
Avatar f tn Now the seizures are getting closer together in episodes. They are always in his sleep. Usually before he falls asleep hot and cold sweats occur and he says he thinks he may have the same reoccurring dream? All EEG EKG And MRI's come back as normal. How exactly to you rule out epilepsy?
Avatar n tn I went to see the cardio in duke when I got those positive stress test results. The dr at duke recommended the cardiac MRI, so I googled it and that is how I found more info on it. You might be able to get a cta too... I couldn't because of my anxiety and they couldn't get my heart rate down. But the MRI is just as good and doesn't ecspose you to radiation. I actually got a cardiac stress MRI, where they inject you with meds to make your heart race and that further cks for blockages.
19208066 tn?1473958275 ve had all kinds of test run at different hospitals and facilities, I was only 16/17 at the time when my seizures started. I need to know if i will be able to get all the paperwork i need to apply for SSi. Is there a place I can find all the different hospitals Ive been to or registered to even if it was an ER visit.
Avatar f tn Nor MRI was even discussed - in fact the heart catheter is the normal (in my experience) test done if the stress test is not conclusive. This has been the case fo me in past years.
Avatar n tn I have had two sets of chest xrays done and they show nothing as well. I went in for a stress test and it appeared to be "abnormal". I went in for an angiogram and the doctor assures me that my heart is in excellent shape except for a very small blockage. I continue to have the tightness in my chest and the feeling of being flush. I have a blood pressure of 100 over 60 and a pulse of 72. I have had no other problems in the past. I am at a loss as to where to go next.
862553 tn?1239060736 Of course i had the ct with my heart at rest before the stress test and then after the stress test... But am wondering what you would think is possibly going on. My maternal grandfather died because his heart actually exploded and my father himself has had bypass surgery... so there is a hitory in our family all my sibling's take meds for high blood pressure and one sister takes heart medication already ... Could you please let me knwo what your thgouhts are on this ...
