for pre-testing for ablation scan showed alot of structual damage to the heart and my mitral valve has adhered to the back of my haert so they scrapped the ablation procedure because they said it wouldn`t improve my condition.My EF is 13-15 percent and my vo2 stress test came back with 14. Do you feel that I should be put on a transplant list if I qualify ?
All lung xrays, CT scan of lungs, breathing perfusion tests normal. Heart echo normal. BNP 800+. Chemical Stress test results show abnormality in typical vasculation distribution of distal right coronary artery (small amount of scar) and mid left descending coronary artery (small amount of scar). No ischemia. LV EF is 40%. Study shows intermediate risk of cardiac event. My question would be what is the next step and course of treatment.
the suregeon who wants to treat me with drugs only did visual physican examination and MVO2 test. The other surgeon did heart cath. On echo my ef is between 20% to 25 percent, on nuclear stress test my ef is 13%, I able to do all the day to day chores without any problem. I am able to do all the daily chores without any problem,, i do get a little out of breath under exertion, like climbinng stairs or running. My EP and cardio says there is not other meds that we have not tried.
did anyone have a transplant and get better? and does the medications you take for your heart transplant make you very sick?
His nurse read the file and said the doctor went to great lengths in his notes to emphasize that he feels my dad only has this problem when he was given Dobutamine during the transplant heart stress test. He feels strongly that this is not something my dad has on a day-to-day basis.

I can produce a numbert of different opinions what is the appropriate heart rate and so on with exercising. The best method for someone with a heart issue is to have a stress test. A stress test is oftened done for the purpose of learning the degree of tolerance/risk one can safely do. The rule of thumb stated is not recommended for someone who has heart issues. You will be safe to engage in exercising according to METs.
Had a stress test there is a large sized anterior walldefect extending to the apex and septal wall. There is a samll sized distal anteroapical defecdt extending to the septal wall. I wonder why you had a stress test, some symptom trigger it? In my case I asked for a stress test to get a better number on what my maximum exercise HR should be. This lead to lots of additional nuclear and other tests because I couldn't pass the stress test when I in fact didn't have the main problem it checks for.
Sorry if I wander... bottom line, see a cardiologist but if you don't have any serious symptoms I think you should think positive, nothing is wrong.
My nuclear stress test results were as follows ver batim. I do not know what it means, are the results acceptable, good very good etc. What does this say about the blood flow to the heart muscle ?
