The fact that they offered to allow her to go on would make me think they were not concerned about any findings of an arrhythmia.
I just turned 37 weeks today and I've had 3 done already...and I will continue to have one until I deliver the baby (my dr. procedure for all clients)....it's really nothing to worry about.....it's just a test to check on the baby movement and heart rate to make sure he or she is not stressed....
My nuclear stress test results were as follows ver batim. I do not know what it means, are the results acceptable, good very good etc. What does this say about the blood flow to the heart muscle ?

Can you tell me what it indicates if a person could not get their heart rate up to the desirable number during an echo stress test during the treadmill portion. It is a male age 36 with insulin dependent diabetes since age 6. He has a tendency to have slow heart rate and could not exceed the mid 150's during the treadmill no matter how they kept making him work harder. He is 5'7" and weighs about 155 and is very active.
There is a non stress test AND a stress test.... There are different reasons for both. During a non stress test they hook you up to a monitor and just keep an eye on baby's movements and heart rate... During a stress test they hook you up to a monitor but they induce contractions to see how baby reacts.
after a minutes rest we carried on at 3 minutes my oxygen went from 100 back down to 84 and heart rate went to 146. 1) attained 100% target heart rate, no chest pains, no arrhythmia
2) LVEF is 56%
3) Moderate size infereior ischemia
4.) ECG is positive for ischemia at good workload (reached heart rate of 143).
I've formed a preliminary impression from my research on the Internet, but I would appreciate professional feedback. I am scheduled for a heart catheterization.

I have mine today. I was told that the ultrasound is to check fluid levels to make sure he still has enough. The non stress test was something I had to look up. They are going to measure the babies heartbeat while sleeping and while moving to see if they are different and also check to see if you are having contractions and how they are effecting the baby's heart rate. If they are causing your baby's heart rate to drop, they could induce you sooner.
I don't know. There were no displays on the treadmill when I did my stress test. They mostly judged my "success" on my heart rate and blood pressure readings compared to how long I lasted. I never had to run; it was just a walking speed with some incline increases. I did about 10 minutes I guess and then had to lie down for the recovery part. I think I did just fine.

Just after the test started, I started getting very severe pain in my legs. My heart rate only went up to 112 beats per minute when they injected the thallium. I had to stop the test within 3 minutes of starting it because of the pain in my legs (approx. 30 seconds after injection). I got the results of the test on Saturday.
