212161 tn?1599427282 Hi, we'll I had my stress test done, just the exercise one with no dye or pictures, I ran it about 7 mins got my heart to 104 percent, could of keep going if I needed to, had no chest pains, or sob. They said you passed sent me on my way. Good news My question is , without pics how much can they tell about the heart, if I had a blockage would it had shown up? Should I feel good about my heart? Thank you so much for all your time.
Avatar m tn I recently took a treadmill stress test and nuclear stress test. Basically, the conclusions are that I have: 1) moderate size inferior ischemia 2) LVEF is 56% 3) ECG is positive for ischemia at a good workload. No chest pains, no arrhythmia. I've research the Internet and have reached a tentative first impression, but would appreciate any professional feedback on the above three conclusions. I am being scheduled for a heart catheterization. Thank you.
Avatar n tn I've just had a SPECT stress test. The cardiologist report stated that I have apical ischemia. The size is small, the severity is mild and the reversibility is partical. I'm a 51 year old female ~ on the tread mill for 8+ miniutes, at 172 HR (100%). I'll be speaking to my cardiologist. How serious is this? It doesn't sound so bad?? The only other peice is that I've got a heavy feeling on my chest - not always and not painful.
Avatar f tn Just went for a stress test and It came back positive for slow blood flow thru heart. They scheduled me for a nuclear stree test next week is this really necessary? The only sympton I have is some chest pain once in a while. complete exhaustion, headaches, feeling like I have no energy. Could this be all tied in.
Avatar m tn the dubotomine stress test prior to the stenting said it showed positive for ischemia affecting heart wall in three places. EF was 70.19%. What was notable about this test was that I am perfectly normal at low and medium dose of the dubotamine. Maybe I should lust live like that - low and medium pulse? All the grim looking stats came at high dose with pulse at 120. That's high for an 81-year-old? It would take me a fair sprint along the road to get it up to that level.
Avatar n tn EKG results indicate a possiblility of some vessel blackage causing ischemia (lack of blood flow to the heart cells). An EKG test results almost always requires further evidence to substantiate, and there is no further evidence to support that assertion. Cardiolite Perfussion Imaging tracks and monitors the infusion of adenosire during rest and exertion for conclusion.
Avatar m tn I just completed a tread mill stress test and a nuclear stress test. Briefly, the results are: 1) attained 100% target heart rate, no chest pains, no arrhythmia 2) LVEF is 56% 3) Moderate size infereior ischemia 4.) ECG is positive for ischemia at good workload (reached heart rate of 143). I've formed a preliminary impression from my research on the Internet, but I would appreciate professional feedback. I am scheduled for a heart catheterization. Thank you.
Avatar n tn t agree on why I did so well on the stress test. Q. Can some one do this well on a stress test, ie 13.5 minutes and still have major heart problems? What's next?
Avatar f tn No significant EKG changes during vasodilator stress test. 2. Normal post stress resting left ventricular wall motion and ejection fraction of about 77%. 3. Mildly severe fixed defect involving the apical anterior wall, likely breast attenuation. 4. No reversible defects noted to indicate ischemia.
Avatar n tn I have had a very mild heart pain for many years. It never occurs during exercise, always at rest. Numerous doctors have told me it was musculoskeletal but I have always worried about it. My father passed away from a heart attack at age 57 and my mother had bypass at age 65. I do have trouble managing my weight (200 lbs at 5 ft 6 in) but my blood pressure and cholesterol have always been very good.
Avatar m tn I had a tread mill stress test and a nuclear stress test. Briefly, the results were: 1) reached 100% target heart rate, no chest pains, no arrhythmia 2) LVEF is 56% 3) moderate size inferior ischemia 4) ECG is positive for ischemia at a good workload (143 heart rate). I have formed a preliminary impression from my research on the Internet, but would appreciate feedback on the above 4 items. I havel scheduled a heart catherterization. Thank you.
Avatar f tn Im having a stress echo on monday morning, I have to have my heart put under stress like you. So, you think of me and I'll think of you :) You get to lay relaxed on a scanning bed, I get to have the cold messy gel all over me.
Avatar f tn I had a nuclear stress test & they found "mild ischemia in the inferior apical area" with an ejection fraction of 75%-I am symptomatic with angina and SOB & take toprol xl and imdur but still have some symptoms-what does the stress test mean in laymans terms-thanks
Avatar f tn When using EKG and blood pressure monitoring alone the test is variously called a cardiac stress test, exercise stress test, exercise treadmill test, exercise tolerance test, stress test or exercise ECG test. Heart rate, breathing, blood pressure, EKG, and how tired you feel are monitored during the test.
Avatar m tn I am 61, female, had a stress test & reported diagnosis is "moderate inferior ischemia". What is the explanation (definition) of this diagnosis and what are most common treatment options/choices?
Avatar f tn The fact your septum is of normal size and no wall impairment indicates there are no serious consequences from ischemia or a prior heart attack. Because the septum supports and provides a pathway for electrical impulses for the heartbeat contractions, any medical impairment to that area can cause arrhythmia (irregular heartbeats).
Avatar n tn My nuclear stress test results were as follows ver batim. I do not know what it means, are the results acceptable, good very good etc. What does this say about the blood flow to the heart muscle ? "injection of Myoview nuclear tracer & resting images obtained excercised on a treadmill for 5 min 34 sec. to 10.
Avatar n tn I have had chest pressure and shortness if breath so was scheduled for a stress test with vasodilator,. It showed a medium to large moderate
intensity partially reversible defect involving all apical segments and
extending into true apex and the mid anteroseptum. This is larger than on
the prior study done in 2017. The defect is only partially reversible
with SDS score of 4.
Wall motion post stress is severely hypokinetic in the apex, with gated EF of 51%.
Avatar f tn Hi, the report states that there is no evidence of ischemia, meaning the blood supply to the heart muscle is normal. Normal heart Rate is 60-180 and the rhythm is sinus rhythm. Bradycardia implies that the heart rate is below the normal range. Otherwise the other findings are not significant. Regards.
Avatar m tn I recently had a stress test the diagnosis i recieved was I had a small apical scar with a small amount of ischemia. What should I know about this.
