I take restasis twice a day. Have some tears. Have considerable atigmatism and wear polycarbonate lenses. My eyes don't seem to feel stressed when I don't wear my lenses, but feel stressed when I do. The prescription has been checked and rechecked and has not changed significantly over the last five years. Can the lenses (polycarbonate) and/or the astigmatism correction be causing my eye stress? (I am 85 years old and in good health. I take blood pressure medicine and a water pill.
Attempting to save a little money, I decided to try Warby Parker for my regular eyeglasses. I opted for polycarbonate as well, and while they seem mostly fine, transitioning between the two glasses is quite uncomfortable for me. If I had to guess what the difference is, I'd say that there is more ( )-type distortion around the periphery in the Warby Parker glasses. I've been with the Warby Parkers for about a week now and the transitions aren't getting any easier.

There are other options like CR39 that has a higher abbe than polycarb.

bc of my high prescription i keep to the same shape of glasses. 2 yrs ago i bought a traditional ray band frame for prescription sunglasses and they are fine. now i bought new ray band glasses (normal everyday glasses) for college and have made 3 stops already to lenscrafters complaining about the lenses.
at first everything about my Rx had changed. we redid my Rx and kept the vertex and cylinder the same as my old glasses only changed the strength.
Please help me find a solution for my vibrating vision , my opthalomologist said theres nothing wrong with my eye , my neuro doctors also ruled out an eye problem ,after an MRI scan they ruled out the possibility of a severe neuro emergency but a small neuro problem , which as per them can be corrected using medicines my concern is that i did take up 3 shots of anti rabvies vaccine and i believe this worsened the vibration ( which the docs again ruled out ) or is it my polycarbonate non anti g
I realize this is more of an optometry question, but I hope you can give me some insight before I take further action.
I am nearsighted. A couple weeks ago, I got an eye exam; a new, stronger pair of prescription glasses (high index lenses); and a pair of prescription sunglasses (regular plastic lenses). When they came in, the sunglasses felt fine.
Consider wearing glasses all the time even in no RX in them for protection (plano RX in polycarbonate impract resistent lens).
You are more likely to injure or get hit in the one good eye though so you should be wearing polycarbonate protective glasses at all times to protect against flying projectiles etc. Most people who grow up with one eye learn and adapt very well so it is really not a disability (sports may a be a bit more difficult though).
) Just wondering, though, could it be the polycarbonate lenses they put in this time? I'm not sure why they used polycarbonate, noone asked me what I wanted, I guess this is just the norm? Thank you so much for taking the time to read all of this!
I can produce a numbert of different opinions what is the appropriate heart rate and so on with exercising. The best method for someone with a heart issue is to have a stress test. A stress test is oftened done for the purpose of learning the degree of tolerance/risk one can safely do. The rule of thumb stated is not recommended for someone who has heart issues. You will be safe to engage in exercising according to METs.
and one other thing if there was something wrong with my heart would it have shown during the stress test?
thankyou for responding, yes had the test reached my target heart rate , but didnt feel like i had exerted myself enough to give my heart a real test, thankfully nothing showed, but wish i had some answers to the chest pain that goes down my left arm, and cardioligist says its nothing, well its not nothing its very disturbing actually
put me on lipitor as bad cholestrol is 7

My doctor has ordered a non stress test for me if I go over my due date. I think they just want to make sure that the baby is doing well because the placenta starts to age at the end of pregnancy so they monitor the baby's heart rate for a bit to make sure the baby is getting enough nutrients and oxygen, I think it's routine.
I have had two sets of chest xrays done and they show nothing as well. I went in for a stress test and it appeared to be "abnormal". I went in for an angiogram and the doctor assures me that my heart is in excellent shape except for a very small blockage. I continue to have the tightness in my chest and the feeling of being flush. I have a blood pressure of 100 over 60 and a pulse of 72. I have had no other problems in the past. I am at a loss as to where to go next.

There is a non stress test AND a stress test.... There are different reasons for both. During a non stress test they hook you up to a monitor and just keep an eye on baby's movements and heart rate... During a stress test they hook you up to a monitor but they induce contractions to see how baby reacts.
