Avatar n tn I have had two sets of chest xrays done and they show nothing as well. I went in for a stress test and it appeared to be "abnormal". I went in for an angiogram and the doctor assures me that my heart is in excellent shape except for a very small blockage. I continue to have the tightness in my chest and the feeling of being flush. I have a blood pressure of 100 over 60 and a pulse of 72. I have had no other problems in the past. I am at a loss as to where to go next.
Avatar n tn I had a gated stress test and the report states: myoview stress test: stress and resting spec views of heart were obtained in vertical long axis, horizontal long axis and in short axis projection. There is uniform distribution of isotope throughout the myocardium following stress. Resting scan reveals similar findings. No reversible changes are noted. Ejection fraction measures 69%. All of that sounds ok then primary diagnostic code is minor abnormality! What is abnormal?
228686 tn?1211554707 I have a Vista Computer from Sony. A VAIO business notebook. I have come seriously close to tossing out of my car window. This was a $2,300 notebook I purchases at Comp USA, while they were liquidating their inventory. Comp USA is out of business, or on the way. Anyways, at least I got a "deal" on the puter, for $1,200, but it is far from a value, when anything you try to do ~ doesn't work. The simplest functions such as connecting to a WIFI spot just won't work.
Avatar n tn Yesterday I had a nuclear stress test and within a couple hours I felt a hot itchy spot about 6 inches long and 3 inches wide from my shoulder down. The place where the Adenesine was injected did not get red. About 4 hours later I called my drs service and one of them returned my call and we discussed whether I needed to go to the ER. I chose to take a couple benedryl instead. Today the red long blotch is still there. I went to my cardio dr.
862553 tn?1239060736 Of course i had the ct with my heart at rest before the stress test and then after the stress test... But am wondering what you would think is possibly going on. My maternal grandfather died because his heart actually exploded and my father himself has had bypass surgery... so there is a hitory in our family all my sibling's take meds for high blood pressure and one sister takes heart medication already ... Could you please let me knwo what your thgouhts are on this ...
Avatar f tn There can be a false positive but modern nuclear stress tests include computer programs that correct for some of this blurring and muffling.
Avatar m tn m not sure that is in keeping with a DO training...you may wish to ask). A stress test may be to assess your cardiovascular system under chemically induced stress and whether or not that triggers arrhythmia. Osteopathic medicine is dedicated to treating and healing the patient as a whole, rather than focusing on one system or body part.
1491262 tn?1288413065 my husband just had a nuclear stress test he has to go back to the dr. Wednesday , they said he had some blockage and they saw a place on his heart they want to check out he has had triple bypass and had a heart attack last year . they want to do some kind of dye test now what could this mean ? and what might the dr. do im trying to understand all of this .
Avatar f tn I have had a bubble test for the hole in heart which showed up something and the stress echo was a follow on. Here in England you do not get immediate responses, so I have no idea what this all meant. Three times this happened whilst trying to recover but the heart rate rapidly increased upon sitting on couch and the other symptoms. Another Dr was called in and they went for a discussion in the corner so I could not hear anything. Ity took 30 mins for my heart rate to stablise.
475300 tn?1312423126 Most likely, the operating system thinks there was a mouse click. The system would then place the entry point for the next character typed where ever the curser happened to be sitting. Wish I could tell you where the click is coming from. If it is a laptop, it is probably coming from the touch pad.
Avatar f tn At my 36 week ultrasound on Friday, the doctor noted a slight increase in amniotic fluid. They scheduled me for a non stress test this Tuesday and another ultrasound the next two Fridays. Should I be concerned?
Avatar f tn Over the past year, I have been having dizzy spells and extremely tender spots around my head/face. It seems to be related to working on the computer. It might be stress-free, as I could be more stressed while working. At first I thought it was eye strain, but after wearing my glasses while on the computer, it cleared up only briefly. Then I thought it was glare from the computer, but after adjusted the monitor my symptoms were only alleviated briefly.
Avatar f tn I have been having on and off headaches all day that last seconds when looking at light. When I was born my doctor said I had big pupils and would be sensitive to light, but it's so bad the headaches aren't horrible I did have a headache as soon as I got home I sat at my computer monitor and it was horrible is this stress? I have anxiety and it's pretty severe. Should I worry? I'm 14 and never had head promblem etc.
Avatar f tn I had a thallium stress test a week ago. Now I'm setting off radioactive alarms at the facility where I work which is a heavily secure building. How long will the thallium remain in my body?
Avatar m tn Each test is progressivly more accurate. An EKG is about 50% accurate, a normal stress test is about 65% accurate and a nuclear stress test is about 85% accurate overall but if you back out the false positives, it will find significant heart disease 97% of the time. Having said that, are you working with your doctor to find a cause other than heart disease?
Avatar m tn The stress test was stopped while monitoring your system and that almost always indicates there is evidence of ischemia (lack of adequate blood flow) and may be the result of vessel occlusion, and sometime it is evidence of an old heart attack The test is not very reliable for the conditions named, however, it is considered unsafe to continue without the possibility of injury. If you felt a little pressure in the chest that would be additional evidence for some blockage.
Avatar m tn Reading comments on th forum about window periods both doctors mentioned that the only things that can increase the window period is HIV anti medication, PEP, people with cancer treatment and people with a suppressed immume system. I understand that high levels of stress can suppress the immune system ( the type that I have been through as you can understand going through this every minute of the day for months).
Avatar f tn I just wanted to know if having had severe stress would have supressed my immune system and not let my body make antibodies yet..could that happen? or would it take something more serious to supress the immune system to this amount? Stress has caused so many symptoms in me for over a month now :( would appreciate any comments on it.
Avatar n tn I can produce a numbert of different opinions what is the appropriate heart rate and so on with exercising. The best method for someone with a heart issue is to have a stress test. A stress test is oftened done for the purpose of learning the degree of tolerance/risk one can safely do. The rule of thumb stated is not recommended for someone who has heart issues. You will be safe to engage in exercising according to METs.
Avatar m tn Yes, stress plays a big role in our immune system. Stress makes us more vulnerable to illnesses, just another reason for us to get it under control as much as possuble. It's hard on our hearts as well.
Avatar m tn Stress doescompromise our immune system making us more vulnerable to disease. I don't believe your extreme stress would have corrected your problem. Stress can actually make your hair fall out.
