4268628 tn?1375041176 So I am 17 weeks now and feeling g physically ill due to stress. Any ideas for stress relief? Most of my go to activities aren't working. Between a creep video taping my daughter (who's 2) while at my in laws and my fil telling me I'm blowing things out of proportion, my husband reverting to whatever his dad says is law, and being the mean evil board member Sharing with 50 members their dues are increasing 3Xs what they're used to.....I'm sick and cramping.
Avatar m tn Im 16 weeks pregnant. My stress is at an all time now between work, school, family issues and trying to make sure my baby's okay. I just need some stress relief techniques i've tried walking, talking to friends but none of its working it just leads to me feeling depressed for some time. Mind you i've picked up on my bad habit of smoking cigarettes but not a whole cig or not that often but it makes me feel like crap so I need something else beside the just breathe technique.

Avatar f tn I know it's hard but try not to stress. The less stressful you are the better. Unfortunately miscarrieing is out of your control. So worrying is the worst thing. Just pray.. everything happens for a reason. Even if we don't understand why. .
Avatar f tn I tried to take him to the ER during one of the episode but by the time we got there he was fine. While we were in the car he fell asleep immediatly and when i got to the ER and took him out of the car he seemed fine. They checked his sugar right away which came back fine, and did a EKG which was fine. The ER doctor felt as though it had something to do with his brain and contacted our pediatric right away.

Avatar f tn If she has concerns she should talk to her doctor. I personally would put it down to the stress of the situation (lack of sleep, poor nutrition, emotional stress, etc). I think that similar stressors should be approached with caution for future reference. Not sure whether those symptoms would indicate that someone is predisposed to bipolar though. It will be interesting to read the expert's response.
Avatar f tn The first cadiologist was fully aware I have COPD and in fact I am on 2L of 02 and was using my portable 02 during our office visit AND during the Persantine stress test. I was more than a bit angry to discover that Persantine can cause acute exacerbation of COPD and something like dobutamine should have been used instead.
590310 tn?1273871747 I was wondering if it is normal for you to have a MRI after a major episode. My dr has not said anything about it but wouldn't you guys think that one would be needed? I would feel better knowing where I am as far as progression. Also the numbness that I had on the right side of my face has now turned into pain. The pain is not all of the time but sometimes it is intense and my hands hurt.
1208118 tn?1265877425 Hi, I often have an episode of concern. The symptoms start with my whole body experianicing a cold sweat, but not actually sweating. Then I become very weak and light headed. Finally, My whole body starts to shake with a slight feeling of numbness. The episode reminds me a little like having gas at the dentist before passing out. I cannot function at all and it feels as though I'm fighting to remain conscious.

Avatar m tn If all brain related causes (transient ischemic attack, disorders of hypothalamus, dementia and multiple sclerosis, head injury etc) are ruled out then Vit B12 deficiency, chronic fatigue syndrome, sleep disorders (by sleep studies), depression, use of certain drugs, and certain types of seizures (where memory loss is the predominant symptom) should be investigated for as the cause of memory loss. Apart from sleep studies, EEG, you may need cognitive tests. Please consult a neuropsychiatrist.
Avatar m tn The DO deisignation is a doctor of osteopathy. An MD is a doctor of allopathy. There is a is philosophical difference regarding treatment, and as I remember the DO focus more on therapy that involves the body's ability to heal, and an allopathic doctor has a different perspective, and DO believes therapy should treat the body as a whole and not just one part.
Avatar f tn ve been through a lot with IBS/Spastic Colon over the years, and have the misfortune of not getting much help from drugs. Today the Lortab has soothed the intense spasms I was having earlier, and I may actually be able to get ouside my house today.
Avatar f tn I called the dr. Office yesterday and received great news! Everything is normal and my numbers went up. My baby is growing! 5 weeks!
Avatar m tn Johnny, I saw your note from a year ago on the forum, and since my symptoms are very much like yours, thought I'd post and ask if you're still having your vibrating in your head and shoulders - or has it spread? I hope it's gone away, for your sake. This is awful, isn't it? I don't see any other of the "vibrating" posters who have it in their heads and faces.
Avatar f tn Short runs of VT in a healthy person while not normal are most likely acceptable. The low rate was most likely at sleep, and the high rate was most likely during the VT episode. The isolated supra-ventricular ectopics are most likely benign and are nothing to worry about. The stress test is to no doubt attempt to antagonize her heart to either drop into SVT or to see what else it may throw off under high stress. This is nothing to be concerned about.
590310 tn?1273871747 Am I just having a hard time because this is the first time that I have been alone in the real world, or is the stress of this whole situation making me tired all of the time? I don't want to do anything once I get home from work but watch TV and sleep. I am not writing this for sympathy. I want to see if others have gone through bouts of extreme stress and then had a body malfunction or an episode.
Avatar n tn Last week Wed I felt nauseous and had an episode of D (first time in 7 months) - just one episode and felt better. Had some bad (I think) acid issues for 3 days after that, burning, gnawing, constant hunger pains in my upper abdomen. BM's were off too, smaller than normal, thinner than normal, still solid and normal in color. No blood. Now the acid issues have calmed down but 3 mornings this week I've experienced the cramping.

Avatar m tn I am 36 yrs. old. I have three normal echos on file before my last c-section (two were taken during the last trimester of my last pregnancy & one during the second trimester of the last pregnancy). DURING THE LAST C-SECTION SURGERY, the anaesthesiologist said I had an episode of v-tach straight out of an episode of House.
Avatar m tn It is not the end of the world and you can recover. Please face up to this before it gets any worse.
Avatar n tn Then out of the blue, I had my 1st SVT episode landing me in the ER 1.5 yrs ago. I started on 25mg metoprolol 2X day after that (cycled in and out of the arythmia for about 4.5 hrs before getting to the ER, HR 190, then IV metoprolol). don't like the side effects at all... and tried to be more aware of my stress, caffeine intake, general health, hydration, etc. but with no further episodes, and with the meds, thought I was managing it.
Avatar f tn I have the same issue. Its the worse feeling ever. I would drink a glass of milk before going to bed. You can tell your doctor to prescribe you protonix or nexium. It is safe for the baby.
Avatar f tn  This made me very nervous so i was taken to the ER.  AN EKG was normal and  CT of the head (no contrast) was performed and read as normal.  Labs came back mostly normal except for my WBC  high end of normal 10.3, Neuts 78% high,   lymps 14% low,   abs neuts 8.0 high,  ABS lymps 1.4 normal, ABS Monos0.7 High, Everything else in normal range.  I was very nervous.  Temp 99.9 on arrival. After relaxing decreased to 98.4.  Can WBC be off due to the anxiety?
