m now 32+3 weeks and been so stressed because his dad promised to send some money for groceries for him ( he is on their food stamps and gets 674 dollars in disability) well no money has come and we have had to spend so much money on him and skipped two major bills this month to get extra groceries and make sure he had a good birthday. Well today my hubby text me and said his check was almost 300 dollars extra for money his job has owed him since last year!!!
Im 16 weeks pregnant. My stress is at an all time now between work, school, family issues and trying to make sure my baby's okay. I just need some stress relief techniques i've tried walking, talking to friends but none of its working it just leads to me feeling depressed for some time. Mind you i've picked up on my bad habit of smoking cigarettes but not a whole cig or not that often but it makes me feel like crap so I need something else beside the just breathe technique.
I recently just went to the Cleveland Clinic for an eval at their Headache Clinic. Well, last night I got on their website and was reading about the Mellen Center there. It is their MS center. It says that it is the largest center of its kind in the world for MS treatment and research. It said that you do not need a referral. Well, I thought that I might as well call and get an appointment. I thought for sure that it would take months to get in. Today is Friday.
Will the blood test be enough to tell a positive/negative result? This is a new Dr for me, 1st visit to her (no insurance before) & she said she doesnt do paps on the 1st visit, so I assume she wouldnt take a culture during an exam since I cant get the pelvic exam until the 2nd visit. I tried an otc yeast medicine, no relief from the discharge/itching.
Oh , sorry about ^ that last post. I had a myelogram and then I had 2 of those injections at the same time in my lower back.
The elavil, topamax, trileptal and IV treatments worked for a time, but the neuropathy seems to have broken through these drugs. Since stress seems to be a trigger (only during a flare up, I can deal with stress and life in a remission) my neurologist wants to try buspar, but ... I seem to think that I had a bad experience with that drug, but it was in the beginning of all of this ... can't remember the specifics. I don't wanna mess around with this. It gets very bad.
I found out I am pregnant again and am 6wks 5days. I am terrified. Any tips on how to reduce anxiety and stress due to my last experience?

I'm sure there are others that have some of the same issues you experience. It must be so frustrating. Have you been to a pain clinic at the local hospital or medical center? Have you been to a sleep clinic? One or both of these places might have some answers for you. I wonder if you could position pillows in bed so that you could sleep without rolling over to lay on your arm?
I hope you can find some answers. Please let us know how you are doing.

I went to a pain clinic. The Neurologist tried Baclofen for muscle spasms and a bunch of medications for nerve pain such as Neurotin. I ended up drugged out of my gourd and still having spasms. The pain clinic over a year cut me back to a few medications. There are many medications which help but everyone responds differently to them. We had to try many different combinations until we got one to work.
I take Zanaflex for muscle spasms for MS, Baclofen just did not work for me at all.
Hey our situation is solo much alike except I'm 19 and 20 weeks and also a ftm...what I do is find something I like doing like writing poems and stories and explain to my family and fiance I just want to be alone for a moment and that's what I do I am to myself and doing what I love stress is never good for you or the baby...
I feel your pain on not telling family members. I used to have a hard time telling my Dad because hes a Catholic, Id cook a huge steak dinner each time. But Id feel better afterward. Im also a total "daddys girl" lol so that may have helped. Anyway! Jumping off the soapbox, I agree that you should tell your family hun.
I've been experiencing low-grade fevers(98.9 - 100.2F) accompanied by extreme fatigue and headaches for about a week now. They usually occur only in the afternoon. I'm a law student. I've heard that this can be stress or it can be other things. I went to my school's clinic and had a CBC done that came back clear. Is it worth me pursuing further tests or is it most likely just stress?
