stress

Avatar f tn I am a medical student doing a research project. I was given a task to produce a five-year plan to tackle the assigned health problem within a specific population. So, the assigned health problem is febrile illness and I chose the USA population, which means febrile illness in returning travelers or international travelers and how the USA advises and tries to reduce travel related illness in its population. Hence, I need to find articles related to: 1. epidemiology of the problem 2.
572651 tn?1530999357 The authors speculate about why the benefits of the stress management treatment did not last beyond the 24-week treatment period. One possibility they point out is that participants may require longer treatment to learn to maintain the stress-reducing behaviors on their own.

Avatar n tn There is recent research about ketogenic diet and nutritional ketosis being beneficial for management of heart failure and weight loss. You may want to look further into this. Some cardiologists are beginning to support this approach, although some also follow the opposite approach of very low fat, low salt, etc....

Avatar f tn population). And if so, is this process reversible? (Will good nutrition, good stress management, exercise, etc put me in the same, or lower, range as a typical person my age?) Update: I have agreed (reluctantly) to have a mastectomy and also, the mhs are still (in my opinion) providing limited support. I fail to understand the mhs. I don't understand why they're not working with me to help improve my situation (or at the least, to help contain me).
Avatar n tn Hello, I don't know if you are still struggeling with this horrible condition, I have it and it's horrible, if we can get in touch and help each other it will be so helpfull
Avatar f tn Hi there, I found some articles that hold this true for HCV/HIV co-infected. But since I am still struggling with mental focus, I am hoping someone else here can do some research and post a relevant link to 12 wks post SVR. Very encouraging outcomes.
Avatar n tn But here I am, 34 and pregnant and am dealing with a herniated disc bulge in my c6-c7 and degenerative disc disease. I have constant pain in my neck and have been on pain management for a lil over a year, we had done epidural cortisone shots 3x and it helped a lil bit. We were gonna go ahead with the surgery but now I'm pregnant and my Doctors know and say its fine bit that the baby might withdrawal after being born.
Avatar n tn It is indeed a complex process and several disease states from seborrheic dermatitis, cardiovascular disease, stroke to certain cases of cancers arise secondary to stress. Stress appears to be relevant to the medical community as medicine begins to evolve and molecular and genetic factors come into play.Stress leads to disease due to an underlying interplay of factors in the molecular level. This is something that we need to look into.
Avatar m tn But in 2021, it is not addressed the same way. And, according to a new research article they confirm that patients who have the virus can marry and even have children. And, they mention that untraceable level of the virus is equal to untransmissible status. Further, when I was going through some articles, I read there are 2 cases of complete cure of HIV as well. Hereby, I would like to know the opinion from the medhelp experts regarding my understanding(above passage) about the disease.

Avatar n tn I know how much better my own disease management is now compared to my initial diagnosis ... Why is it better? Research resulted in advances, and yes -- I made the personal commitment to using those results.

198419 tn?1360242356 m excited that there is a possible plan that may tell the tale of what med caused my reaction, but am also concerned that she was only able to find 2 articles. Good thing is the articles are ref. 2 people who did develop a reaction after 6 months. One was skin necrosis, the other anaphylaxis. I told her I would send anything I find to supplement her efforts.
