Avatar n tn I am in Houston and found out that MD Anderson Cancer Center's Pain Management Department treats all pain management issues. I don't know about charges, but I do think they understand pain.
Avatar f tn I sent you a private message. I go to a pain management doctor in Houston who actually does neurological oncology, pain management and also has a degree in psychiatry. I know that he prescribes Methadone because he has me on it, but I don't know about the Actiq. He's a wonderful man and a wonderful doctor, though. I've been going to him for 8 or 9 years now.
Avatar m tn Hello all I had a MRI a while back after months of back pain and results are multiple bulging disk narrowing of the spine and a few other issues I don't even understand yet. My primary dr prescribed me 10/325 pain pills and somas but it just isn't doing the trick and he isn't willing to go with anything stronger.
5097121 tn?1466787392 When our bodies are feeling good, we usually feel good emotionally, so in turn, taking care of your body is very beneficial for stress management, for instance, getting a sufficient quantity AND quality of sleep, eating properly (including a healthy/balanced diet), staying active. Minimizing intake of things like caffeine is a good idea. ---->Additionally, we have to set REALISTIC daily goals.

Avatar m tn The thymus is sensitive to any kind of bodily stress, including systemic infection, neoplasms, surgery, and chemotherapy. It may atrophy, with such stress but then regrow to its original size. The thymus is disproportionately larger in infants but gradually becomes replaced by fat and involutes throughout maturation. Nevertheless, the thymus maintains its ability to grow back at any time and at any age.
Avatar m tn I heard some great advice from the Tarnow Center for Self Management in Houston, TX. Dr. Tarnow said that good intentions will get you nowhere. It takes lots of study and hard work to become an MD, and playing video games more than an hour a day to relax maybe, is too much. I'm struggling with my teenagers doing it too much. Listen to your instincts. You probably have a school counselor or access to a counselor if you are a student. Take advantage of that if you need to.

662972 tn?1270166301 My doctor switched me to methadone for pain management about three or four months ago, but I haven't noticed any side effects at all. My blood pressure has been up a bit the last couple of times I've been to the doctor, but he swears that that couldn't be due to the methadone, and I kind of believe him because when I take it at home, it's always down where it should be.
1611319 tn?1378618399 Mentioned a brain MRI ,not just the pituitary which is what they usually stress on. They both acknowledged the low D and high calcium but of course prefer to redo lab in 3 months to recheck. Told me do not take Calcium ever. Can add some D, as much as 2000mg. Try to get some sunlight as I am inside most of the time. I am concerned about taking the Vitamin D. What are your opinions?? Rheumy is checking for sarcodosis, but I doubt that I have that.
471161 tn?1317190950 I would say it is mold related because of all the moisture in the air. I live in Houston too but I think the stress from it all made my asthma worse. I would talk to your doctor about it, or your allergist and see a pulmonologist if it persists. Good luck and keep in the a/c.
