Avatar m tn Kids and the elderly could benefit from different inhaler models. Spacer devices or dry powder inhalers (DPIs) with simpler mechanisms may be more suitable for younger children than conventional metered-dose inhalers (MDIs), which may be difficult for them to use. When picking out an inhaler, think about how much it will cost, how portable it is, and how easy it is to use.
Avatar f tn Aside exercise there are various other factors that affect the heart rate as well, like anxiety, stress, amount of exertion, workload, hormonal and endocrine factors, renal function, blood pressure, drugs such as thyroxine etc just to name a few. The increase may be slightly higher in people who exercise erratically. If you have a good recovery, it is unlikely to be anything worth worrying.

Avatar m tn The exact type of surgical technique would depend on the severity and the exact location of the defect. Avatar f tn Hi again, A recent research review, published by The Cochrane Collaboration, listed numerous non-hormonal therapies--medications and complementary type interventions that do not appear to alter a woman's hormonal state-- that can help manage hot flushes. (Several "holistic" remedies such as black cohosh and phytoestrogens do not qualify as non-hormonal because they might alter a woman's hormonal balance.
