Second, relations with competitive and Machiavellian co-workers was a big source of
stress. But we need money to live. My solution was adapting my
skills so I could work on my own, independently. It's not easy, and I make less money - in fact, not much at all from my job. But I wouldn't trade it for the world. We spend a huge amount of time at our jobs. So the lesson is get the skills you need to do a less-stressful job that will give you security.
