Avatar m tn Im 16 weeks pregnant. My stress is at an all time now between work, school, family issues and trying to make sure my baby's okay. I just need some stress relief techniques i've tried walking, talking to friends but none of its working it just leads to me feeling depressed for some time. Mind you i've picked up on my bad habit of smoking cigarettes but not a whole cig or not that often but it makes me feel like crap so I need something else beside the just breathe technique.

Avatar n tn This type of primary headache is mainly due to stress. Rest, ice packs, avoidance of stress, muscle relaxants and pain medications may help provide relief. If it persists, check with your doctor for proper evaluation. Take care and do keep us posted.
Avatar f tn Your symptoms could indeed be due to tension headache which is often associated with stress. Visual fatigue is often associated with symptoms such as blurred vision, eyestrain, eyes that sting or burn and the headaches are usually felt at the end of the day. Rest, ice pack, pain medications and avoidance of triggers or stress may help provide relief. If these do not work, have this checked by your doctor for proper management. Take care and do keep us posted.
Avatar m tn I am suffering from a regular and burning type of headache since last 6 years. I met lots of doctors during this period. I have also done CT Scan and it was normal. When my headache starts the muscle of my neck becomes tight and I unknowingly started to round my head to get relief from pain. I also hear some cranking sounds during this period. Some time the pain occurs on right side, sometimes on left side. when it occurs in one side of my head, I can work normally.
7988724 tn?1400967191 I had my dr. Appt yesterday followed by a 3d/4d gender ultrasound. And I didn't feel too well yesterday. I had an all day headache. And it was really hot yesterday. Which didn't help. When I woke up today I still had the headache and it's worsened throughout the day. Any advise as to how to manage it or what could be the cause???
Avatar f tn Ladies, I don't know what to do anymore. I have constant headaches, 24/7 for 3 weeks now. And I don't want to take pills all the time, cause first of all it doesn't really help, second of all I don't want too cause too much stress for my liver. But I tried to take 6 Tylenols and it doesn't help, my fried recommended to take cranberry crush, poor hot water, add sugar or honey ( it helped her), I tried, went through the bag if cranberries and no relief.
518798 tn?1295212279 I have been eating advil and excedrin tension headache. I have been digging looking to see if I can find some imitrex here. I had a prescription years ago and I don't think I used them all, but that was "back in the day" and I don't really know what I have/had. With all the excitement of the weather here and my kids and husband all being shut up in this house for 2 days already, the noise and craziness has gotten to me.
Avatar n tn would I know from this headache if it were a tumor?! Would massage bring relief if it were a tumor? Would occipital massages take away the sensation if it were a tumor? Why am I the only one concerned about a tumor?!
Avatar m tn I've had a diffuse moderate daily headache for 18 months. Plus ear buzzing. Every day. Went to a neurologist, had MRI, tried migraine meds, no progress. Tried TMJ bite splint, physical therapy on neck, no progress there either. Having TEE in 2 weeks to check for PFO. Had some stress 18 months ago when headaches started but no stress now. Except stress from headaches. Had Grave's years ago but TSH checks out.
Avatar n tn The intensity of the headache had stayed at 4 with the exception of one more week long hospitalization and a few occassional visit to the ER. I also spent one week in Chicago at the Diamond Headache Clinic with no relief. About six or seven months ago the headache pain rating increased to about a 6 and then four months ago it was up to an 8. As of two weeks ago I have been a 10 pain, I was hospitalized for two and a half days, but released with no actual relief.

Avatar f tn When I get a migraine, I've found some relief by putting an ice pack wrapped in cloth or a water bottle filled with cold water on the base of my skull/top of my neck. Also peppermint or peppermint gum helps ease the associated nausea a bit. I hope you feel better soon.
Avatar n tn m currently on or just stopped taking, eyestrain, glaucoma, high blood pressure, sinusitis, stress, brain tumor and even vitamin deficiency! There is so much more and thats why you really need to see a doctor and soon would be good. There are alot of ways to ease them but when you do that you tend to stop looking for the reason it is really happening. Mine was due to some meds i was taking in combo together and stress on my eyes(glasses for reading).
Avatar f tn Episodic tension headaches are usually triggered by an isolated stress or a build-up of stress. A tension headache may occur on an episodic basis (less than 15 days per month) or on a chronic basis (daily or more than 15 days per month). In mild to moderate tension headaches, there is a constant, band-like pain or pressure that lasts from 30 minutes to all day. Tension headaches usually begin gradually and often occur in the middle of the day.
1302779 tn?1287405029 Otherwise, you may need to have injections or nerve block for your cervicogenic headache. If you have relief from your chiroprator, continue doing so. And do keep us posted if the pillow is effective so it can also benefit other members of the forum. Take care always. Warm regards.
1385123 tn?1279511480 It started out just dull and annoying and has now progressed into quite an intense pain with nausea and a tingling sensation in my hands and arms within the last week. I constantly have a headache whether it is the dull pain, or so excruciating that I vomit from the pain. I have tried taking Tylenol, Ibuprofen, and even Excedrin Migraine, none of which even touched on the pain. The only time there is relief is when I am asleep, but once I wake up it comes right back.
Avatar f tn My 28 year old daughter has had a debilitating headache since last Friday (29th). The pain is so severe she is reduced to tears, unable to function without increasing the pain level, and now nausea is constantly present. She initially thought it might be meningitis (sp) and went to the emergency room, both because of this thought and because the pain was so severe she could no longer cope. The performed CT scan and spinal tap, all tests came up negative.
