Avatar m tn the headache seems to be gone but still when i move my right eye far to the left or right i feel this pain behind my eye. I took an advil last night before going to bed which seems to have helped the headache but the problem with my eye is still there.. What could this be? i have had a CT scan from my head few months ago so i know its not a tumor.
Avatar f tn Fast forward until now, I keep getting these bad headaches in the same spot (behind the left eye and the eye bone as well as the left side of the forehead) and it radiates into the temple region... it feels like someone is pushing on my temple and I also keep getting this pressure build up in my head. It has creeped over to the right side (pain in left temple though) and left me with minor pain on the left forehead....
Avatar f tn My husband (who is 29 also) had a severe eye pain behind his left eye that lasted a little over a week. It was controllable with OTC pain relievers. On Saturday night it moved to behind his right eye. This pain is worse behind the right eye than the left and is not controlled by OTC medicines. He went to the ER last night for the pain, as he is not one to get headaches or pain behind the eyes. They ran a catscan and told him everything was fine and he was probably having a migraine.
Avatar m tn above the left eye it goes tender and starts hurting. hour later ive got a headachce above and behind the left eye....i take a few headache tablets that dulls it down and by about 7 to 8 at night the main pain has gone and im left with a pain above left eyebrow that is tender to touch.........my main concern has been the constant 24/7 ringing in my ears.....sometimes before daily headaches start i get......
Avatar n tn I have been taking Aleve for the pain, sometimes it works, other times it does not. The headache is only on the right side of my head, directly behind my eye and near my right temple. Sometimes it also hurts to chew (not in my jaw, but behind my eye). I have seen 3 different doctors and been into urgent care twice. I have been told I have a sinus problem, had a cat scan and was put on a strong antibiotic. I had another doctor tell me that was ****. This is not a sinus headache.
Avatar n tn Just one eye, and pain behind the eye? Does the pain come and go in something like 'attacks'? Does the nostril on the same side run? I ask because part of what you're describing sounds a bit like a peculiar kind of headache called 'cluster headache.' You can look it up via wikipedia and google, etc.
Avatar m tn for a few months not i have had kind of a non stop headache behind both of my eyes.. the pain isn't bad but its always there.. the only time it goes away is if im doing something active. Can someone tell me what it could be?

Avatar m tn I am 21 years old. I get a headache behind my right eye. It is Unilateral. The pain is for usually 15 to 45 minutes and no longer than that. It usually occurs when i am sleeping. The frequency is almost once in 2 days. The pain is so severe that i get up from my sleep and feel restless and start pulling my hair. One thing i will like to add doctor is that this pain is followed by stomach belching each and every time. My stomach also feels irritated along with it.

Avatar n tn My 17 year old daughter has, not every day, but very often a terrible pain (headache on her left side and behind eye... the pressure behind eye is not always there with her left side headache.... she has to stay in bed for a day when she has this.... I don't think it is migraines since the light is not really bothering her.... she is really worried about a tumor? which I am sure it is not.... Unfortunately I don't have insurance what can this be and where does it come from...
Avatar f tn Cluster headaches may present with eye pain and headache while migraine is usually associated with one sided throbbing headache and aura presenting with nausea, vomiting, and sensitivity to light or sound. If it persists, it is best that you have this checked by your doctor for proper management. A headache journal may also help identify possible triggers. Take care and do keep us posted.
Avatar n tn It feels like a knife has been inserted under my occipital ridge, goes through my brain and ends behind my eye. It is constant and no pain medicine helps. (if I get a common headache, Excedrine will alieviate it quickly) Even narcotics won't relieve the pain. I will sometimes fall asleep but then awaken with the same pain. Half of my head is sick when I get this. My scalp feels like it is sunburned and it hurts to brush my hair. My eye feels very dry and tender.
1549643 tn?1495759353 I'm having multiple issues with my eyes. Severe burning, get bloodshot, tearing, feels like something cut my eye, hurts when rubbing my eyes (all these symptoms come and go). Had twitching of left eye, upper and lower eyelid for 5 days, recurred last time my eyes were irritated. Went on to have blurry vision when reading. Now I've had pain behind my eyeballs for the past 4 days, the pain doesn't get severe.
Avatar m tn When i woke up the next morning i had a horrible throbbing headache, feeling like it was in my forehead / right behind my eyes and around both my temples, also alot of pressure. The pain was quit severe but after taking medicine the pain dulled but never went away. It's been 3 to 4 days now and the headache has not gone away, even though it's less severe then it originally was.
Avatar n tn There seems to be mild pressure in the left temple and a contant ache around the top of the left eye lid and sometime under the eye but not behind the the actual eye, i have alot of tention in the left side of my neck and and the muscles supporting also its tender above the ear behind the left temple when massaged but i dont get a throbbing pain and this does not affect my ability to do things.
Avatar m tn They also did a digital picture of my eye to check the arteries/veins behind my eye. The glasses have not helped. The pain comes and goes but is affecting my quality of life greatly! I have had CT scans and MRI scans as well. I will give all "positive" findings... MRA Brain 6/14/10: Minimal RIGHT P1 segment hypoplasia but impression was unremarkable MRI/MRA brain. CT Brain 11/5/10 after slip and fall: Mild opacity within a couple of bilateral ethmoid air cells.
1207048 tn?1282174304 I'm sorry to just "drive-by" post tonight. I've had such a bear of the last 2 days with my husbands Aunt. She had a stroke a couple months ago, which made the dementia she has suffered with for about 5 years much worse. She is a sweet lady...but just not there anymore and asks every 5 minutes when her daughter is coming to get her. It is mentally tiring! Anyway...my vision has seemed weird today, but I'm not sure what it is.
146298 tn?1258712247 Doctor, I've been getting these headaches which begin as a deep pain behind my eye. They go from my eye to my jaw and specific points of pain are jaw, base of skull, top of skull, behind ear, where shoulder meets neck. When I have such a headache I am very dizzy, technically it's vertigo. After the ache has begun my nostril slowly closes itself and adds a bit to the pressure, but I've had sinus headaches and this is different.
Avatar n tn If the area is painful to touch, then blood pressure, loud sounds, migraine and simple headache are unlikely to be the cause of pain. However, if you are on long calls on cell phones, then this could be a cause. Alternating the phone over both ears, keeping the phone away from ear and reducing the voice level of the phone will help. Tension headache is a possibility but again less likely. Temporal arteritis, internal ear infection, TMJ and tooth decay can all be the cause of pain.
Avatar n tn For the past several months, I have had severe isolated pain behind my left eye. The onset is normally crippling, causing nausea from the pain. I have not noticed any sort of association to the onset, activities, time of day, location, none of them are ever the same.
Avatar f tn Another type is cluster headaches, which are sharp pains that occur around and behind the eye often at night and are associated with tearing of the eye and running of the nose. In primary stabbing headache, sharp or jabbing pain in the head occur, either as a single stab or a series of brief repeated volleys of pain. Primary stabbing headache often occurs in people with migraine. The pain itself generally lasts a fraction of a second but can last for up to one minute in some people.
Avatar m tn For the past 6 months I have had a localized headache over my left frontal area, temporal area and behind left eye. It comes and goes. Pain level is the same. No change in vision.

Avatar f tn This type of primary headache presents with pain in the of eye, tearing of the eye, nasal congestion, flushing of face and pain that frequently develops during sleep and may last for several hours. Attacks occur every day for weeks, then disappear. If this persists, have this checked by your doctor for proper evaluation. A complete neurological examiantion is important. Take care and do keep us posted.
