Avatar m tn after my 1st visit with the psychologist, she diagnose me with post traumatic stress disorder. she said the reason i got addicted and worry so much is due to losing my leg when i was 15. not sure if i agree with her. i do think about it sometimes when i see someone running or walking fast, i think to myself "i wish i had my leg back". or if i see myself in a video i realize "I WALK WITH A LIMP".

Avatar f tn Excessive sweating in the face can result from an overactive sympathetic nervous system, sometimes due to substance abuse. Mild social stimuli with stress can cause excessive facial sweating which can also involve the scalp and the neck. Endoscopic thoracic sympathicotomy is a very effective way to treat severe facial sweating. http://www.endsweat.com/hyperhidrosis.

Avatar f tn I think in view of the recent normal stress test and Holter monitor, and how atypical the symptoms are for coronary artery disease, that this is more likely suggestive of a digestive disorder. It may be related to an esophageal hernia or to severe GERD. Aspirin can certainly aggravate these symptoms. I suggest that you speak to your GP and that he perhaps orders either a Barium swallow or a CT scan of the chest.
Avatar f tn i know how you feel... stress Can Cause A Lot Of crazy things... I think it's what caused my anxiety/panic disorder as well as hair loss(which is why i believe I'm stressed even though I don't feel stressed...)... And Since the anxiety disorder started, I have had Tension and pain in my neck and shoulders that just don't seem to go away!...
Avatar m tn well there is a difference between stress/ anxiety and an anxiety disorder. just being stressed your physical symptoms would go away after the stress does but with an anxiety disorder you body and hormones go all out of whack and your body keeps pumping adrenaline, and cortisol as if you were having something stressful going on even though you may consciously not.
Avatar n tn There are a vast number of symptoms one can attribute to anxiety, but I personally have never heard that itchy skin or scalp tightness are among them. Have you changed your shampoo/conditioner/soap in the past three months? That MIGHT account for the itchiness and tight feeling which I would blame on dryness. That this apparently happens only during sleep is a bit of a mystery to me. Anxiety is a 24/7 disorder. In my humble, non-medical opinion, I don't think you are dealing with anxiety.
Avatar f tn The symptoms you have experienced are surely serious to the extent that pain of this magnitude and duration can really have an effect on one’s quality of life. At the same time, your symptoms are most likely to be on a muscular.-skeletal or nerve compression basis and not a sign of cancer or some other life threatening disease. Were you to have cancer, the diagnosis would be obvious after two years and not with a six month pain free interval.
Avatar m tn no i have never had oral sex either.

Avatar f tn It can certainly reduce stress and anxiety. It can reduce allergies as well if what you mean by healthy eating means reducing the intake of pro-inflammatory foods that can cause or exacerbate allergies. The most common of these for most people is dairy and wheat, but soy and corn can also be common problems. Eating organically grown foods might help, as they might have fewer chemicals on them that you might be allergic to or that might force your immune system to go on overdrive.
