Within an hour I was feeling much better. You could ask your physician to take a look at your sinus, as that could be the cause of your problem.

it feels like my throat is sore on left side my ears have been clogged for a week my voice is scratchy. the pain is unbearable no pain killer works. I have an appt to have them pulled next wk.. My best friends brother died at age 26 from abcessed teeth. Is this serious for me should i call the dentist back is it gonna get worse before next week. Explained: Strep is a VERY nasty bacterial infection that can spread to other stronger areas of the body if not treated immediately. Furthermore, a high percentage of people who get strep don't necessarily feel it in their throat and often times have NO symptoms at all until it has already spread.

I recommend you see your Dr about this. It may be your tonsils or strep throat. It's really hard to say but your Dr should be able to find out what's going on.

Seen my doctor and he put me on Amoxicillin. My strep cleared up for the most part (the white crap all over my throat). Throat is still sore and have ulcers in a few places around my mouth. Not to worried about that, what does worry me is now my gums are killing me. I cannot even tough them with a brush. No blood as of yet from them. Is this the last of the infection retreating?

I believe it is you may be leading up to a sinus infection. I have started with a sore throat a few times and had signs of strep. But I wait to get treated the pain isn't there anymore and then I find out I have a sinus infection and strep. You may should get your tonsils out if you get strep to often. I have a mildly sore throat that is presenting itself like strep with white pus on my tonsils (minus the severe pain, fever and other symptoms). Hey. I'm an 18 year old male. Two weeks ago, Monday the 7th I went to the doctor with a sever sore throat and was giving Augmentin to take for 10 days (twice a day). My throat was really sore, I had a 103 degree fever, and thyroid glands were swollen. Ibuprofen and Acetaminophen didn't do much to relieve the pain. The rapid strep test said I did not have strep throat, but after looking at my throat a few times the doctor believed the test was wrong and gave me Augmentin.

I would say got to the Dr and have them do a throat coulture. It sounds to me like strep throat or something else also.

I originally went to the doctor with overall feeling of malaise, headache, fever, slight sore throat and abdominal pain. I was tested for strep and mono. Strep came back positive (Strep C) and negative for mono. I was prescribed amoxicillin and was feeling much better on day 3 until I developed a horrible yeast infection. question for me is WHY does the throat spray numb one side of my throat almost completely yet, cause me excrutiating pain on the other? worse yet is i have this ugly red rash on my chest and under one armpit (same side of body) and these boils or large pussfilled sacs forming on my chest as well.
