Would taking a klonopin with the strattera in the am help eleviate those symptoms? My pharamist thinks my blood pressure is getting to high. Would a klonopin combat that so I can at least perform at 100%?

Starts out with my former medicine, strattera, but when I would take it I felt my heart was out of control and my blood pressure went up. Now on wellbutrin for about a week but I feel foggy and it is causing worse ibs. Not sure if that side effect will go away but giving it a try. My question is, if anyone can answer, why was I able to take strattera as a child with 0 side effects and then high heart rate etc now.

Unless there is physical evidence that you are not tolerating these two meds together at their current doses, like elevated heart rate or blood pressure or heart disease, there is no justification for a temp stopping them when they are working so well for symptom control. The temp may be inexperienced. You should ask to speak to your "temps" supervisor. Perhaps there is someone who will maintain your meds until the permanent replacement arrives on the scene.

Started Prevacid and also Strattera for ADD. We were able to wean off of the Prevacid and just stick to Strattera, as our peds thinks the Strattera helps him with the anxiety related to the GERD, and therefore he had no complaints of symptoms of GERD. In March we went off of the Strattera, and within 4 weeks the symptoms of GERD re-appeared ( Not eating, coughing, feeling like something is caught in his throat.) We went back on Strattera and Prevacid.

My son developed Raynard's Phenomen after taking Strattera. Weaning him down on the dosage reduced the symptoms. His hands otherwise where blue, white, and cold through out the day. Yes, 140 mgs is a very very large dose and most people would feel minor or severe overdose symptoms, extreme sweating, vomiting, diarrhea, rapid heartbeat, high anxiety, high blood pressure, jittery. It can be extremely. I experienced that once and it was horrible.

Im a 34 year old female just diagnosed with ADD. my dr out me on strattera because of an existing heart problem. I started it 5 days ago. the 1st day i took it at 8am. by 12 i couldnt keep my head off my desk. and i killed my scalp with my letter opener. i felt like i had bugs all in my head. the next day i took it at 1pm. same thing. im taking it later at night so i can hopefully sleep through all of the "bugs". has anyone else had itching as a side effect?

If you have no prior history of high blood pressure i would think theres a very good chance as these meds do crazy stuff....... I have read here where those with high BP before tx saw it go down while on treatment...... Good luck going forward.

Your bottom number is a little high but not horrible! I am 35w3d and I have had constant high blood pressure since 26 weeks. Its always around 165/94. Since its been constantly high, I see my doctor every thursday for an ultrasound to check the babies heartbeat and fluid, a non-stress test, and a chat with my doctor! I also go in every wednesday to do blood work to check for preeclampsia. This week will be my 4th time doing it.

They help curve my nausea too. Ive never had high blood pressure from too much salt however in my past pregnancies(like in last trimester)if i ate them too often my feet would swell up pretty good. At this point its hard for me to ignore cravings. Sometimes your body craves what you need but just try to eat whatever it is in moderation.

So the last few weeks when I go to the doctor my blood pressure is high (can hit 160/110) so each time he sends me to l&d blood work is normal and the last visit was the only visit without protein in my urine. He said he could induce me on Tuesday which would make me 36+4. At last visit baby was measuring 7.7 lbs. I have also lost my mucus plug. I also have gestational diabetes. Hi... can anyone tell me if high blood pressure can cause shortness of breath? I just had it tested and it's 191/120 with a resting heart rate is 111... I'm asthmatic, but this is not the same.... I was sent to l&d yesterday by my ob because my blood pressure was high it was like 149/94 and i had protine in my urine. They kept me for a few hours and ran tests and took my blood pressure every 15 minuets it finally dropped down to 117/76.
