Strattera drug test

Common Questions and Answers about Strattera drug test

strattera

Does strattera give any false positive reading for a urine or hair follicle test? Would it come up as a amphetamine or methamphetamine, or any other illegal substance?
Your topical lidocaine jelly is not likely to make your fiance fail his drug test for methadone. I am sorry to hear that he is being incarcerated due to a failed drug test. However, before the testing, they usually will ask you what medications you are currently taking, so they can take that into account with the results. Please make sure that they have a complete list of his current medications, including prescription and over-the-counter meds, vitamins and herbal supplement.

i have a very good job where i am routinely drug tested via Urine and Hair. will ritalin casue a fasle positive drug test? half the internet sites say no the other half say yes.
Im on 120mg of strattera, 20mg of lexapro and 70mg of ritalin a day. The only drug that helps is ritalin, but thats just because it keeps me awake in class and when I'm doing my HW, but I still can't concentrate at all or make any decisions. I agree with you though, the add and ocd can explain all my problems, but the thyroid could too. I'm just trying to keep my options open. The thyroid disorder is the only disorder that can explain All of my symptoms. Going to talk with my psych.
I have high Triglycerides and Cholesterol. I started taking a new drug called Strattera a few months ago. I have had heart palpitations, chest pain, my blood pressure went from low to above normal. If I over-exert myself my chest starts hurting and if I lay down it feels much better. I am wondering if I have Angina?
i failed a drug test for beno and anphedamine which the only medican i take on a dailey is strattera . i have had to take lorcet 10/650 and a z pack from the denist in the past week but i did not fail for opates. how can this happen?
I think this problem could be due to the fact that I took the drug Adderal for aprox. 10 years. I stopped taking it recently after reading all the controversy and thinking of my health. I now take Strattera. I know this is not a side effect of the new medication. Strattera is a non-amphetamine based ADD medication. Could this be caused by previous use of Aderall? 20mg 2-3 x dly for the past 10 years? I do not have insurance right now and am unable to afford tests at this point.
My 16 yr old son has been in residental placement for 5 months ( he failed a drug test for pot while on probation for a so called fight at school) I learned today durin a visit that he has been prescibed Stratteras for add by some sphyce doctor there. was this doctor sopposed to contact me or his mother before giving my son 40 mgs twice a day ??? I must add my son had open heart surgery at 2 years old !!!
Is Strattera a better stimulant drug for ADD than the others as far as not making schizophrenia symptoms worse? I am considering trying Strattera and have heard that it is the only non-narcotic available for ADD. I also have breathing problems and faintness at times which is a concern with ADD drugs and schizophrenia drugs as well... If anyone has tried this drug for ADD and has Schizophrenia and has had no problems with it I'd like to know about YOUR experience with it before I try it....
he started me on 30mg and had to move me up to 50mg after 2 weeks because it was wearing off half way through the day and i would get extremely tired. when i first started taking the drug i noticed that i was more clear headed and driven through the day. at the same time i noticed that my appetite had decressed,my throat stayed dry and i was having trouble falling asleep. i know that those three things are common side effects.
About 10 months ago, I was prescribed an ADD drug (Strattera), which I honestly didn't even need. He prescribed it to me because I was looking for a script for Adderall - another thing I didn't need, but I wanted at the time (things were starting to get a bit stressful w/ school - i'm a 4th yr.
I was diagnosed with ADD after taking the test (I don't know how accurate it is.) Even my mom is "certain" I have ADD. I've always day dreamed during school and had a hard time focusing on movies or books when I'm reading. I don't know if that's normal. Anyway, my psychiatrist has put me on a bunch of defferent medications for ADD: strattera, Aderall XR, and Vyvanse, but none of them seem to work.
That's a difficult one. Your post said "9 year old male hearing voices". Hearing voices are a form of auditory hallucination. That's a symptom of schizophrenia not adhd. If they believe your child has childhood schizophrenia and diagnosed it as such then an antipsychotic is the correct medication to give. They are used less in children because of side effects but Abilify is the least likely to cause weight gain.

have you had your iron level checked? it is a simple blood test. most women are anemic because they bleed every month and it is so hard to have a good, high iron diet.
is there a drug for ADHD that helps with risky behaviors and impulsiveness. It seems that my 17 year old is not able to understand consequences and continues to make poor decisions in all areas of her life. She has now lost her chance at going to a four year college becasue of her grades. It is like she must have instant gratification and cannot discipline herself lik a normal teenager.
We've trialed two ADD stimulant drugs to curb his impulsive behaviors, but ended up with a kid on speed! The non-stimulant ADD drug Strattera seemed to make a nice impact on his attention span for school work, etc., and he remains on this. In 3rd grade, inappropriate touching, noises, etc. made an return when school started. A new evaluation (more expenses!) resulted in a diagnsosis of Asperger's Syndrome.

I was put on all kinds of medications such as, lithium, abilify, zyprexa, depekote, strattera, paxil, zoloft, ect. ect., it seemed, everytime i saw the therapist, she would tell me to go to the pyscotherapist now, and i would be diagnosed with something new and perscribed a new drug. My father convinced me, by law as a minor i had to take these medications.
I couldn't complete a task to save my life so With the help of a wonderful doctor, I started on Strattera which kicked started my brain into focused thoughts and I've been working with adderall and strattera ever since. So all has been moving forward in this regard.. But ... 3 months ago I wound up having horrible chills and extreme body aches which brought me to my knees. I was not sick with anything nor did I have any food poisoning. So I just thought it was a fluke....
New drug is REMBER and it is still on trial from Aberdeen University. We are hoping this new drug can help hundred of thousand sufferers and their families back to normal. It is an awful diseas, it brings my tears to watch my husband going down hill. He was a pilot, he is 73, he had feeling that he was going to have dementia, it is such a shame he is so healthy but his brain is just not functioning as it should be.
I had gotten and endoscopy cause i am young so it isnt stomach. I have gone to my Cardiologist and did an ekg ecg, stress test, ultrasound of heart and left right heart catherization. Nothing came up but i am getting worse and now my doctor wont tell me what to do or where to follow up. Please if this sounds familiar let me know, it is ruining my life.
Some food allergies cause this behaviour in kids I agree the drugs are scary. If all the experts recommend them, do a blind drug study over 2 months. The drs will ask you, the teacher and your son to record how each day goes. That way they can find the minimum dose that enables your son to function. Good luck. Hang in there, he may just grow out of this stage on his own. I think you are doing a great job.
They did try 2 other medicines before the Strattera. One of them was Ritalin and he was worse. He gets things taken away from him for his behavior. The spanking never worked, made it worse. Her doctor told her to try putting a dab of vinegar on his tongue when sassing back. That is what he did with his daughter and it worked. That does seem to work sometimes. Has to be apple cider vinegar. He knows when he has gone too far and will apologize when I mention getting the vinegar.
And when it is not they can't handle it, so drug the child , how many of them would drug there own child ,they wouldn't they just want to drug other peoples kids. I have only seen 7 Teacher's in my life that really care about Teaching and kids and don't care about the Money and don't look at the children and there parents in a bad way.
I feel more focused and able to work for longer periods of time. However I also feel like since the drug kicks in, I start to start out there on the edge in a way, and after a few hours I want to pull back and not be on the edge. At this point I begin reallly desiring some marijuana, because I know it will relieve this sudden tense feeling. As if your about to do something, but cant do it, and you have this wierd feeling I am not good at explaining or identifying feelings...
Steve seemed to indicate that daily use of marijuana was how he dealt with stress and anxiety, his drug of choice. You quoted an article that talks about moderate use of marijuana, which is irrelevant in this case. If Steve's doc only found out just as Steve is going into treatment that his patient relies upon daily marijuana use and it's known to have a negative impact on fibrosis, then perhaps he's within reason to delay treatment until Steve has a better alternative in hand.
