If it is not used in that amount of time you freeze it. Use the fresh before you use frozen! It is a good idea to use stickers to know which milk to use first.

you can store it in the fridge for 2-3 days just make sure you date the milk also it can go in the freezer i think for upto 6 months and it is good to use the breast milk storage bags so you can date them also and then you can take them straight from the freezer and put the bag in the baby bottle warmer. when you buy the breast pump there should be a little book about breast feeding and everything that comes with it.

Yes small cooler with ice and or ice packs. Thats how i hauled mine back and forth from work. Dont give up and dont get disencouraged your are doing whats best for baby and giving baby a good chance at getting atronger by giving her the best. So if you can do it then more power to you. Also check with nurses jusy to make sure they can all be aware you ate bringing it in and so that they can tell you if you can build a little supply for her to use there at the hospital till she comes home.

How long can breast milk stay refrigerated before it can no longer be given to a baby?

I have been pumping and storing breast milk for my princess and it seams like the amount is slowing down what can I do to get it back up I do not want to give her formula at all!

It's not milk supply. Your body doesn't store milk. It makes it on demand when baby is born. It is the glands waking up to prepare themselves to produce (not actually producing yet). If fabric on your nipples is an issue I recommend wearing Medela breast shells in your bra and also, the lansinoh soothies gel pads. They are amazing!

So I have had heavy and itchy breast for a few weeks now. I checked to see if I had milk and drops came out!!! Im only 21 weeks! !! Is this normal? ??

So I go back to work this week. I've been storing milk and seeing if my little man will take that. I'm having issues with him even taking the bottle. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Glass bottles are great &; they do have some of them wrapped in like a 'decorative' rubber for when babyy is holding them his/her self to prevent dropping &; breaking but Medela, Tomme Tippie, Dr. Browns &; I can't think of the other one but they're also great for breast feeding &; storing milk. I'm also breast feeding nd going with Tomme Tippie because I loove how realistic the nipples are!

guuuurl, my lil piggy wiggy(hehehe), is such a pig! i'm storing breast milk, and i'm bf'ing as much as i can, but i have been having to supplement my BM with formula! the only downside about formula, is sure they get full, but how do you know how much they had? so i guess realistically, i have NO idea how much alex eats! but sometimes he eats 4oz of formula, and will nurse for another 10-15 minutes(but only on 1 side)!

I started feeding Dameon straight from my breast, then DH decided he wanted to be able to feed him too, so I pumped, and he was able to feed him. I pumped for 6 1/2 months, and then fed milk from the freezer for 2 more months. That milk that she was getting at 7 and 8 months was produced when she was a newborn-6 months. It was perfectly fine. While the composition of milk does change, it is still great for baby- even milk from a different time and frozen still has more beneficial properties than formula. This little one will be getting frozen milk when I quit pumping.

Yup thats it!! Some woman leak quite alot while others don't. Whether you do or you don't, won't determine your milk supply. Keep putting baby on the breast to help stimulate the flow. Yehh I'm sure you'll be fine!

i expressed some milk for him to drink if he got hungry!! But i was wondering when i can feed him from my breast again i know this comforts him more!! :) :) !!! SOOOO ladies say around 630 to 700 i stopperd drinking my cooler( only the one ) when can i feed him again with no chance of alchol affecting him..when will it for sure be out of my system! I breastfed but wasn't able to pump, my daughter feed to often and I never had enough to then pump after, but I was always told by my docs that breast milk can be stored in the fridge for up to 5 days (at the back of the fridge, don't keep it in the door) and up to 6 months in the freezer. Always try and defrost breast milk by putting it into the fridge to defrost, not just leaving it on the side.

I was just wondering what would I do with my eye drops (Xalatan, Dorzolamide/Timolol and Alphagan) that I have been storing in fridge during these hot months? If power went out what would happen to the eye drops if fridge was no longer working and temp in apartment was almost in 100s? Does anyone else store their eye drops in fridge and you wonder what would happen if power outage?
