( and Prozac) I have not noticed any hair loss from it. Is it a side affect? Stopping cold turkey is really bad. Tell her not to. She should contact her doc. so he prescribe something else if she thinks it isn't doing it's job. My Phsycyatrist changed my meds. till we got it right and she ALWAYS takes you off one slowly and adds another slowly. Much less mental stress!

At least I found out it was a withdrawal problem by them - after stopping Prozac I had the brain zaps and suspected I was getting multiple sclerosis or something. Another problem I'm realizing these drugs caused has been apathy, which was different from my depression.

just been notified that abilify is a drug (and not JUST a spelling error. ha ha ha lol ) . I think the member your talking about is worried about the possible toxicity of prozac and abilify together on her liver. That's a very, very valid concern. Talk to your doctor about recommended dosages.He/she could change the proportions. Or you could have him put you on something less toxic to your liver than prozac.

As we exercise we build lean body muscle mass which weight more than fat so the scale reflects no weight loss when in fact the body is trimming down fat. The tape measure will measure loss of inches and your clothes will start to feel looser. Hope this helped you.

s also another class, an older class, called tricyclics -- easier to stop taking, but they do have some common annoying side effects such as headaches and constipation and dry mouth but not so much the weight gain and sexual problems and trouble stopping them. Lots of things to try, including therapy. Good luck.

Oh yeah menopause causes more than hot flashes, new personalities within our bodies and all the little ugly things that come with it. Including elevated risks w. our hearts until its over. Stress is also a part of that little journey believe me. I think and you didn't say that you need to make an appt. w. a heart doctor not your regular doctor on this one. Your pulse rate was going to a dance with out you wanting to go......and this needs to be addressed.

Hi all, I am severely depressed & have been taking Prozac for a month now & my doc suggested Abilify to add. I had already put on 30lbs from lexapro, which is part of becoming depressed again. I have been on the Abilify for 6days now & can tell it is having a positive impact on me. I have had enough motivation to work out the past two days & I am really watching what I'm eating. Has anyone here had success with losing weight on Abilify & prozac?

I have recently switched from Prozac to Wellbutrin, in the hope that i will loose the weight i have put on while i was on Prozac. It has been about 6 or 7 weeks and i was doing well with the switch and the side effects. Two years ago, I started taking prozac to treat anxiety. About a month ago, with the help of a psychiatrist, I slowly got off it. I was having really bad menopause symptoms, anxiety, nausea,loss of appetite and insomnia. So the doc put me on 10 mg prozac about 16 days ago... And then ambien for sleep. He told me the start up of prozac does this..gets worse before better. Then regarding the norco...I realized I was taking it on an empty stomach at night... Which can make you nauseating. Or it could be because the Prozac is working but not well enough, so the drug is augmented. Or, it could be the Prozac has stopped working and you don't need another drug, you need either a higher dose or it's stopped working and you need to taper off and try something else. im gonna taper off prozac dr already told me to drop from 50 mg to 10 mg but im not going that fqast,,,,,,,im on nutrisystem and exercising so i dont know why i have devloped this tummy seems i read wellbutrin causses adomainal swelling,it was added to help depression and sex drive from what the prozac was stopping but i notice no difference and dr says wait till i come see him in 3 months GREAT
