Anyways, so far I have had no complications (minus the vomiting from the anesthesia, which I knew would happen and the stomach issues from the pain meds) and I have started to wean down the pain meds already! I was just wanting to give everyone an update and ask how people's recoveries have gone in the past. I am 19 so I am guessing this has helped me recover quicker.
My trial nurse just called and told me the virus is back. That was my 30 day post checkup.I cleared in 4 weeks so my hopes were high.I am dealing with it the best I can.But I knew what my chances were.
I did receive treatment for the possible bacterial infections STD given z pack, doxy, ofoflax, uribel and something for trich. My neuro said it's probably a unknown virus. I have been on a few rounds of antivirals for herpes just to see if there is a reaction, the antivirals seem to help the symptoms but herpes test was neg. I am thinking this maybe undetected herpes infection accompany with a fungal overgrowth due to excess antibiotics.

In our case after many years of this disease spots, scars, depigmentation, wrinkling, rashes starting to appear and I don't know any disease that would be developing so long except tuberculosis or leprosy. If it was a virus it wouldn't stay on objects for so long, and wouldn't be reacting to certain antibiotics. I have 2 master diplomas in different sphears. But I realized it's so difficult to prove the doctors you are really sick.
That is what most of the Docs I have consulted told me. But, I do think I am suffering still from some kind of virus. What did your doc say?
I've been having those symptoms, and my doctor has told me it was an ulcer. It can cause your stomach to burn.Does your stomach burn after you eat?Or is the burning relieved by eating?Do you feel nauseated at times? You should go to the doctor(preferably a gastroenterologist)and have them check you out.
Hello, I am a 35 yrs old and for more than 6 months I have been struggling with my symptoms. At first I had stomach problems. The pain in my abdomen was so bad my husband had to call an ambulance . I nearly fainted ,it was awful , and I am a mother of 3 children , I know what pain is. The paramedics were very upset with me as it wasn't a life threatening situation :(. Then everything started to fall apart.
Over the following two weeks it began to improve and I was almost back to 100%, just feeling run down/exhausted with a sore stomach. Then on the 26th (3 weeks after food poisoning) of January I started to feel a light soreness in my throat but nothing to distressing, I was also sweating heavily but thats not uncommon in the middle of an Australian Summer.
Did anyone have stomach or indigestion problems? I have NO appetite and feel like my stomach is going nuts its so loud. This could be a result of stress too, I don't know. I also have the feeling of bubbles popping under my skin now too. Great way to describe it.
And since then I can hardly eat, feel nausea, been hot then cold, and have stomach pains and middle back pain. And my stomach is bloated. Then I pulled this up on the internet below. My doc is not in the office today. Do you think I should make an appt to see my Gyn or see my family doctor or just wait to see if this is just some stomach bug and goes away?
I sometimes had indigestions off and on and experience burning sensation in my stomach, the symptoms get worse if I'm facing anxiety. I also had stomach bloating if too full or continuously been eating off and on for a day. I burp very often before and after food. Sometimes I can feel the gas in my throat and after having American breakfast in the morning, when I burp in the afternoon, I can still smell the food.
If appendicitis is ruled out, this could be anything from some constipation to a stomach virus, or even somthing like an ectopic pregnancy. This really needs to be evaluated. Good luck.
First off I would like to apologies for the lengthy post, my problems began over 4 weeks ago when I experienced a sudden onset of dizziness which I could best describe as a swaying motion and unsteadiness/loss of balance - this lasted a few minutes and then settled down. I experienced this sudden onset again the following afternoon which again lasted a few minutes and then dissipated, feeling shaken up afterwards, I dedicated to head home and sleep it off.
I think this is still to do with your stomach bug virus. Do you feel cold at the same time? These shaking feelings are called rigors and because of your infection with the bug your body is fighting it. As you have experienced these rigors now for a few days, I would suggest you see your doctor and possibly get your stools checked out. Don't forget though, keep off all dairy produce, and just keep drinking water and lightly flavoured juice so that you do not become dehydrated.
All related. Stomach is just about 100% normal and happened literally OVERNIGHT. Only a virus would act that way after hurting me for 8 weeks. I am sitting here drinking coffee and wondering if the stress of working so hard and an emotional upset, even though I am not outwardly upset, brought this virus out in me. Yesterday a friend brought some food to the door. I could feel myself getting better as we spoke. I ask you again, miracle from God, or spontaneous withdrawal of the HSV virus?

I am a sixty-three year old woman who ran her first marathon in November 2008. After a bad stomach virus around the first of the year (2009), I started having a lot of abdominal pain. Did not do anything about it until in May 2009 I had to go to the ER with severe abdominal pain and fever. They diagnosed diverticulitis (without a CT Scan), sent me home with some Augmentin and that was supposed to be that.

She associates the onset after a bad bout of the stomach virus or the flu. She told me that many people associate it with heart burn that never gets better or sometimes gets worse. Anyway, there is a test for it (which told me I was positive) and now I am on a course of two antibiotics and a proton pump inhibitor. Lucky for me, I'm allergic to one of the antibiotics, so I get to be nauseous for the course of the medication -- 2 weeks. Hope that this helps.
