I was diagnosed with the Epstein-Barr virus
, or Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, around
14 years ago. I had extremely swollen lymph nodes in my neck, as well as my axillary region (under my arms), off and on sore throat, low grade fevers, sleep problems, and general unwellness. It took about a year to get diagnosed, and during that time I feared HIV, but didn't have the balls to get tested.
Finally, I did, and was negative.
