Can anyone tell me what the symptoms of an ulcer are? I mean, like a serious ulcer.
Stomach has been hurting pretty bad for two weeks.
Really bad the past few days.
Throwing up, some blood there.
Can't keep food down.
Don't have any health insurance.
Is there anything I can take or do that will help?! Many thanks.
The pain below stomach started last July when I was in Europe. I just walked on the street and felt suddenly a sharp pain in my intestines that was so intensive that almost brought me on my knees. After a couple of minutes the pain eased but it left a general pain. I started drinking herbal teas and went to the doctor. Herbal teas did not help much and utlrasound did not show anything. And the pain was still there. I then started drinking kefirs with biocultures and the pain eased significantly.

t able to give me an official diagnosis. Well it seems like my problems have changed. Instead of the heart burn feeling and tightening of the throat, my symptoms have changed to constantly feeling hungry. Even after I've eaten my stomach still isn't satisfied because I get the same feeling again 30 minutes later. I don't vomit or have diarrhea nor do I feel like I have to, but when I don't put something in my stomach when I'm hungry, it starts hurting.

An allergy to wine (all sorts) also exists. Allergy symptoms: face flushing or edema, itchy skin, difficult breathing, coughing...few minutes after drinking.
During the treatment, I began have mild queasiness and aching in my epigastric area (many areas)
I developed an angry vaginal yeast infection. I treated that, and began probiotics right away. By then my stomach was very painful and churning burning ALL the time.

Figuring it to be exhaustion I put up with it for a week. When the symptoms persisted I called the doc. His review was a peptic ulcer and prescribed 30mg of Prevacid along with 1g of Amoxil and Biaxin (not sure of amount). Since then, I have nausea in the morning upon waking even after eating and taking the pills. In the afternoon I start to cough and get a taste of mucus or bile.
I am too young to have these problems. Please help or advise anyway you can.
For the last 5 yrs ive had ulcer like symptoms.. Two scopes later, both negative and Im still experiencing extreme pain when my stomach is empty... I had the last scope about a year ago and he did happen to mention that i had excess bile... He had to suction it out before he could even look at my stomach....One of the Drs i work with mentioned dumping syndrome, i have some reflux but its not bad... just extreme pain in my stomach when its empty... Ive been on carafate and prevacid etc..
Prior to the diagnosis I had felt a strange pressure in my stomach occasionally which started around October 2009. I probably should have gone to the doctor when I was feeling the swelling/pressure but I thought it was just from being cramped into the Miata I had just purchased. I am a 27 year old female who 4 years ago started having severe pain in the top middle part of my stomach area. After ruling out IBS, Acid Reflux, etc, the doctor ordered my gallbladder to be removed. Once it was removed I continued to have the same intense pain. I then went through ERCP and CT scans of the abdomen which only revealed a small filling in my bile duct which was removed at that time.
I saw a doctor in regards to the ulcer on my hand. He told me that it wasn't herpes. Thank god. Mine definately didn't have blisters prior to the tiny ulcer but I hope his diagnosis is correct.

Usually a biopsy is pretty accurate in diagnosing Crohns. I too was just recently diagnosed with Crohns when I had a mass removed in August. My doctor and I were both surprised at the diagnosis because we didn't feel I had enough symptoms. I did have the stomach pains the few weeks leading up to the surgery because the mass was causing constriction. I did have occasional digestive problems or diarhea but nothing too bad. I didn't have the weight loss a lot of people have.

I was recently diagnosed with a stomach ulcer via endoscopy. I’ve been having the symptoms on and off for over a year. I had been taking low dose aspirin everyday for a few years before this, and stopped taking it over 6 months ago. I get a burning/gnawing pain in the center of my upper abdomen that is usually better after I eat a large meal. I get bloating also. It feels worse if I am upset or stressed and also if I do excersize that causes me to tense my ab muscles.
