By ulcer in her chest if you mean an ulcer on the skin of chest that is not healing, then this is a non healing ulcer. The ulcer could be non healing due to underlying infection, low supply of oxygen to the wound that is reducing the healing process, underlying diabetes, or due to underlying dermatitis. A culture sensitivity of wound scraping is required to know what antibiotics will suit the infection. If there is underlying dermatitis, then this needs to be taken care of.
I'm a 26 year old male from Hawaii. So for about a month now i've have had these bad stomach pains that really kicked up 2 weeks ago. 2 weeks ago I went to my GP about my stomach aches and gas and he prescribed me Nexium because he figured that I had an ulcer, and lots of acid. So the next morning i took the Nexium and carried out through my day. I felt OK until about lunch time which is when i started to get dizzy and nauseous.
But I can tell you that I had the same pains but the doc said to be easy since my stomach lining had to repair itself.

I'm 10 months post op hernia repair and got talked into tummy. Cant eat and live on shakes. Nausea is intolerable with extreme pain and forget swallowing. No quality of life and have never felt so sick. How do I find someone knowledgable enough to either takedown this wrap or fix It right? I'm so sick I feel I won't make it thru.
i had bleeding ulcer about six months ago and had surgery to repair it. I had no symptoms no pain no warning I just started hemmorraging. It was not caused by H pylori my doc said What are the chances of this happening again? Dear Sherrod, Ulcers are usually found in the duodenum (small intestine) or the stomach. The most common cause of ulcer is Helicobacter pylori infection.
The pain at night I am almost positive is due to stomach acid and simple heartburn, and my stomach is small so the pain radiates to my back as well. I have helped my symptoms by avoiding fats, caffein, sugar in any form, and alcohol. These foods I find, trigger stomach acid release. I make sure to eat regular meals. I had a lower examination (I forget the word) colonoscopy and also endoscopy and it did reassure me that my insides were ok. I am willing to say it is hormones and diet.
It peaks in about a minute then gradually the bubble feeling subsides and there remains pressure right in the sternum area for 10 minutes or so. I have had MVP repair in 1999, I have Celiac Disease. I just had an endoscopy in October 2012 (duodenal ulcer - but that cleared up fast with meds). I just had cardiac enzymes and EKG done (2 wks ago) which were normal (I was in the ER with LT arm and shoulder pain but determined to be a pinched nerve that responded to steroid treatment).
DGL and aloe vera along with other herbs coat and repair the mucousal lining of the stomach, protecting it from digestive problems, and starts to repair the damage. Changing the diet and taking digestive enzymes helps to solve the problem, so you're not suppressing the acid the stomach must make for proper digestion.
Eating or drinking ALOT of it may increase stomach acid. This can give you some reflux or stomach pains. If you already have an ulser it may aggravate it, but it is doubtful it will cause one on it's own. Raw Apple Cider that has been sitting around and growing acid loving bacteria may possibly contribute to ulsers formation in the lining of the stomach. Again, it is unlikely. If you have an ulser, check it out with the doctor and see what he/she says about it.
Nissen fundoplication creates a new LES ( reflux surgery) by using a portion of your stomach and wrapping it around your distal esophagus. They also do hernia repair as part of this surgery.
She had peridontitis from a ruptered ulcer in the part of her stomach that was bypassed. If you have this type of acute pain it is very, very important that you get to your surgeon immediately. The er doctors do not know what to look for. In all of her scans the ulcer did not show up. It only showed up in the autopsy. Go to your original surgeon.
Whole stomach is tingling, feel like I was kicked in the gut, and as if I took too many aspirins, and feels like I am bleeding internally. Still pale, feel ill and eyes are blackened, sweating, weak. Visit to the ER produced no major results. How long is considered reasonable for stomach distress to go on after being treated for Giardia with Flagyl? Why do test results take so long for this? I still do not have the results.
Anyway, my real concern is that now, in the last two weeks, I have steadily been devloping serious upper-stomach area bloating - esp. after eating, but constantly present. Also, twinging, dull, ache-type pains in and around my rib cage and stomach. Also, some gallbladder attack like pains that go around to my back. Creapy. No problem with diet. In fact, I think I am eating more than usual since food seems to quiet the achy "empty" pains.
Your symptoms sound like they could be related to either your gallbladder (low grade temp. 99, back-stomach-chest pain) or an ulcer. But usually with an ulcer you don't have a temp. The medication you were given will not help at all if it's a gallbladder problem. The low grade temp. indicates that you have some type of infection going on in your body and that needs to be addressed immediately.
i have had stomach problems for up to one month from methadone wds. an ulcer??? does that sound right to you? doctors sometime make things bigger than they are.
I saw another post about atrial fibrillation and stomach gas possible association or connection. I too have the same thing so it may not be all in your head if your suspect this to be the case. Most dr.'s think your crazy or never heard of this when you even suggest it. Thats whats wrong with most dr's atleast in my experience in that they don't think outside the box enough possibly because this is what they learned.

My brother at my age had a large tumor removed from his stomach. My dad at my age had a bleeding ulcer and had 1/2 of his stomach removed. My problem doesn't seem to be following any of them though (even though it's clear there are stomach issues in my family). I can't help but think something is really wrong. My Dr is gone for the next 2 weeks and I don't know what to do. I'm avoiding dairy right now and keeping a food diary to see if I can figure things out.
Hi, my mum use to drink everyday for like 6-7 years but she gave it all up completely 3 weeks ago as she found out that she has a stomach ulcer, she's taking some tablets that the dr gave her but the pains just getting worse! Although now she thinks that the pains are more drink related than anything else because she gave up cold turkey. So I was just wandering if anyone on here knows how long alcohol pains can last for and which part of the body do they affect the most? Thanks in advance!
In addition to this for the stomach pains i have been prescribed lansoprazole in the belief i may have a stomach ulcer thats been with me my whole life as i have always had stomach discomfort, and buscopan to relieve the pain of the cramps. And Maalox suspension for the build up of stomach acid. All of these meds have been useless as they have offered me no relief in any shape or form.
Another two weeks or so went by and all just go worse day by day, I couldn't eat anymore without feeling the food push up and I had severe pain in my stomach. I went to the doc and she thought it might be an ulcer so he gave me a double dose of anitbiotics (500mg Clacee and 1000mg Amoxycillin) and Nexium. The Nexium was for two weeks and the antibiotics for 7 days. So the heartburn went away but my stomach still felt painful/tender etc.
On 1/31/1996 I went to the doctor suffering from severe pain under my right rib cage. I was treated with ulcer medication that only seemed to help some. In May of 1996 I had a very high Basophil count and also got fertilizer dust in my mouth which caused me to have a sore tongue and tongue lesions. In June 1996 I had inguinal hernia surgery on my left side (they used nylon mesh for the repair). The incision became infected 4 times and each time I was given a an oral anti-biotic.

its probally not serious but if it continues you definatly need to be seen, i had a stomach ulcer when i wa 14 but that is very rare and the symptoms arent exactly what you discribe... talk to your mom and tell her that famotadine works well with acid related stuff and phayzme works well with gas, both are over the counter..
