In September, I had an EDD which found an ulcer in my stomach negative for H. Pylori. I have been on up to 60mg a day of Prevacid, which I am currently taking to no avail. Also had a colonoscopy and small bowel series which found nothing but IBS in Colon. I also had MRI abdomen/CT abdomen which found parumbilical and inguinal hernia’s which were repaired alongside Laparscopy Discovery(found lymph node??). in October.
its probally not serious but if it continues you definatly need to be seen, i had a stomach ulcer when i wa 14 but that is very rare and the symptoms arent exactly what you discribe... talk to your mom and tell her that famotadine works well with acid related stuff and phayzme works well with gas, both are over the counter..

After eating quite badly for the last 6 months or so (much more fatty foods and late night meals etc.) I have developed burning in my stomach and chest which didn't go away by itself. Now, the GP didn't do any GI tract or endoscopy checks or anything (i'm 25, otherwise very healthy) so he gave me 4 weeks of proton pump inhibitors.
If it was just an ulcer your doctor diagnosed with he will give you OTC stuff to repair the damage. Now if your ulcer is bleeding then he may offer other treatments.
But if it is just a basic ulcer I think you will be fine, just be careful on what you eat...Foods, and certain medications will irritate the ulcer. Physical movement won't hurt your ulcer any. In fact some treatments are physical activities along with a change in diet.
i have had stomach problems for up to one month from methadone wds. an ulcer??? does that sound right to you? doctors sometime make things bigger than they are.

I'm 10 months post op hernia repair and got talked into tummy. Cant eat and live on shakes. Nausea is intolerable with extreme pain and forget swallowing. No quality of life and have never felt so sick. How do I find someone knowledgable enough to either takedown this wrap or fix It right? I'm so sick I feel I won't make it thru.

The reason stomach acid does not destroy your stomach is because your stomach is lined with mucus membranes. Stomach acid is not like the advertisements that show the acid in a container and a TUMS is added to the container and the acid is neutralized. Your stomach has acid pumps that spew acid whenever food or liquid is added in your stomach. I do not know how many acid pumps there are in a human's stomach, but enough to attack whatever is added to your stomach for digestion purposes.
During the treatment, I began have mild queasiness and aching in my epigastric area (many areas)
I developed an angry vaginal yeast infection. I treated that, and began probiotics right away. By then my stomach was very painful and churning burning ALL the time.
The foods I was eating regularly started making me feel like vomiting. Like potatoes, then beef, then chicken, cauliflower etc etc It' s as though I was/am still getting allergic to all these foods.
