I've gone to one doctor in particular who made me do a Bari-meal exam to find out if i have ulcer. the results indicated nothing of such, just that i have an inflamed stomach. But i think it is more than that. He gave me zantac and some thing else but those pills just did not help. On follow up visits, if memory serves me right he prescribed the same tablets-still no change in my condition.
In addition to this for the stomach pains i have been prescribed lansoprazole in the belief i may have a stomach ulcer thats been with me my whole life as i have always had stomach discomfort, and buscopan to relieve the pain of the cramps. And Maalox suspension for the build up of stomach acid. All of these meds have been useless as they have offered me no relief in any shape or form.
Dr suggested fibromyalgia so I went to Rheumatologist and she found nothing after blood work, echo and stress test and chest x ray. Then I developed stomach problems. I have been told gastritis or ulcer and was given prevacid and nexium. I also developed allergies all of a sudden to dust, pollen..pretty much anything outside. One morning I woke up and back of head was asleep and the next day the right side of my lips were tingling....
I had painful symtoms in my stomach, my doctor assumed ulcers, I have been taking Somac a ulcer medication which seems to have worked. If those tests are negative, then irritable bowel may be the diagnosis. As for your stomach pain, causes includes dyspepsia (caused by an ulcer, GERD, or inflammation of the stomach or esophagus), gall bladder disease or pancreatitis. You may want to obtain an upper GI series or upper endoscopy to comprehensively evaluate this. If this is negative, an ultrasound to evaluate the gall bladder or blood tests to evaluate the pancreas may be considered.
And it looks like she is also trying to rule out Helicobacter pylori bacteria which is A bacteria found in the lining of the gastric system which can cause stomach infections resulting in conditions such as peptic ulcer disease, dyspepsia and GASTRITIS. If that were posistive then you would be on a long course of AntiBiotics. But, Gastroparesis is Not the same thing as Gastritis.
Last summer (2009) I started to develop morning nausea and appetite loss. I was also belching a lot which brought little relief to stomach bloating that went along with it. I also developed upper abdominal pain half way in between my sternum and belly button. I wound up going to the doc's who thought it was probably some acid production issue. He said to take Prilosec OTC for a couple weeks and if I wasn't better, go see a gastroenterologist.
I'm now down to about 6-10 (3-4 at a time.) They've torn up my stomach, so I have to take a Zofran (anti nausea,) every time I eat them. Thing is, they don't do a damn thing for me anymore. But in my head, I'm just a little bit happier when I take them, which I know is a load of crap. It's my brain screwing with me. But I take them... JUST IN CASE...I get in a rotten mood. This is so stupid. I'm in pain management. I can get them whenever I want.
In the last 6 months its been worse. He usually get nausiated, pain in his stomach, and the bleeding starts. Happens alot more often now and he finally went to the Dr. and his liver enzymes are elevated and they are sending him to a gastrologist to check his prostate. He is overwieght, takes aspirin everyday, and is also an alocoholic. Im wondering if this is more of a prostate thing or maybe cilrrosis of the liver.
Strangely it ALWAYS happens to me after eating plain peanut butter by the spoonful. I've had a stomach ulcer before and multiple UTI's and this is very different, and I'm in a stable relationship and I've been tested for STD's.
It's like I had little aliens in my stomach and they'd move around, it was awful. I was taking darvocet and percocet to ease the pain the first 2 days. You can only take Tylenol, unless you have a script for something stronger. But you CANNOT take advil, aleve, or any prescription anti-inflammatories. We had our shots done in Overland Park, KS.
her last bout was last month around the 15th of Jan when I had to call an ambulance and she was in for 8 days with nil by mouth for 5 days and a stomach drain removing this black sludge from her stomach is this what you all have been taking about regarding the gallbladder. All her bloods were normal for pancreatitis but her LFT were abnormal (have been since the start of all this). As normal after a few days she felt better and was discharged.
Then about 3 months ago I started experiencing stomach problems. First diagnosed as a stomach virus, then H-Pylori. After two rounds of antibiotics my symptoms changed from upset stomach to the following: 1. Brief pain swallowing food 2. Heartburn and gas. 3. gurlging in lower intestine 4. dull cramps in large intestine 5. dull shooting pains in rectum In that exact order, as if the symptoms are following the food as it travels through my body.
There are some periods throughout the day where it's not laboured and I feel as if I breathe normally, but then it creeps up on me and I have to start yawning again. My nose feels very clogged all the time and my chest, stomach, and back muscles feel very constricted when breathing. It's especially noticeable when I am working out...especially running and lifting weights. I have to stop every once in a while just to yawn (frustrating) to stop from getting dizzy.
I don't know but I feel something wrong in my stomach..I feel stomach pain every morning.then during my fourth year in college I developed those symtoms, "people are allergic to me."Even my bestfriend.. sneezing..cough..etc.. The same as what you feel guys.. I become guilty every time I hear people coughing ..sneezing whenever i'm around. I don't know how to cure my self. I'm experiencing those said symptoms until now but not too bad than before.
I never get sick otherwise. I have 6 children and never got the real flu or cold or stomach virus when they brought them home. I went to my GP last month because the sore throat lasted so long and she gave me a nasal spry and said it was allergies not really paying any attention that I said it was every month at the same time. I'm just glad to know I'm not crazy or a hypocondriac. I'm just worried because my symptoms are actually getting worse the older I get.
Irritated/inflamed and slightly raised meatus, slight burning with urination (usually only with concentrated urine), moderate pain/discomfort at the tip of penis and in urethra, small ulcer looking region (sometimes barely noticeable) just inside urethral meatus, and an overall change in the glans of my penis really only noticeable when going from erect to flaccid, resembles an excessively wrinkled texture. Well thats my host of symptoms! Its been a pretty crazy ride thus far.
, can't concentrate, pain when you press on my stomach area, headaches, bloating, stiff neck, achy back, weight gain (which I am unable to lose), the list goes on. I was recently diagnosed with a vitamin D deficiency. I've been taking 2000 IU a day for about a week. I know it's still early, but can anyone give me an idea about when I MIGHT be feeling somewhat better? How long does it take to get into your system and start helping?
