Braxton hicks aren't usually painful though they can be the bigger you get. contractions apparently feel like period pains, I've never experienced them so for me they feel like I need to go number 2 due to the immense pressure your bottom. Or horrible never ending gas pains lol buy that's just me.
But it is weird, the bottom of my stomach is pretty soft but the top is hard and almost feel like a lump like the baby. But when it's over lump goes away. Anyone else have braxton hicks like that? I also these pains right above my pubic region like someone is stabbing me. Is that a real contraction? I know they are different for everybody so I'm so confused. My doc two days ago said I was a centimeter dilated. I hear you can't dilate without contractions. And idk if I'm having them!
I know this seems like a weird question, but this is my first pregnancy and I'm not sure what all my different aches and pains are. I am 25 weeks pregnant and sometimes I feel like my uterus wads up into a ball. This happens most often when I have intercourse and have an orgasm (I know TMI). You can visibly see a knot in my abdomen and I have to stay still and breathe deep for it to go away. At first I thought maybe it was the fetus wading up into a ball. Sometimes it hurts more than others.
Hey ladies, I'm 35 weeks with my first child, and I was wondering if any moms out there could tell me what contractions feel like. While I was loading the dishwasher today, I started to feel a sharp pain behind/to the left of my bellybutton. When I put my hand on my stomach it felt a lot harder than it usually does, but it only lasted for a few seconds. This happened three times for less than ten seconds within a ten minute period.

Ever have a really super bad stomach bug that causes pains? it's kind of like that. I think you'll feel them hon. I don't think you'll need to worry about that. :>) Good luck with everything!
Don't worry I always hated when people told me that lol With my 1st they felt like really intense period cramps like the ones you have that make you bend over but even worse then that and with my 2 cnd it felt like my pelvis was being ripped apart. I would much prefer the cramping to the pain this time. But it could be totally different for you. Just watch for any continuous pain all over your front and back although I didn't really have any back pain. Hope this helps some.

But it may be different for everyone!
