Avatar f tn Thank you evergbody! I will definitely be looking into a few of these :) & for those of you that suggested condoms thanks but there's a reason I don't want that to be our only form of birth control.
Avatar n tn i think ive told you before to get on birth control and start using condoms and i have told said PLAN B IS NOT A FORM OF BIRTH CONTROL and you use it as your birth control your messing up your body. sex does not sound like its for you because you dont understand birth control or that you can get pregnant by having unprotected sex and he does not have to ejaculate inside of you. educate yourself on sex before having sex again. please see a doctor get on birth control, and always use condoms.
Avatar f tn Anything can cause stomach pains, you might have an infection of some sort. If you are worried about being pregnant, you should take a home pregnancy test to make sure that you are not. I know when I started taking birth control pills, my periods became more like spotting than an actual period. It would last about three days or so and was always really light (at most it was medium flow for one day). That is usually what happens when you take birth control pills.
Avatar f tn So, I just started birth control yesterday. Today I've started feeling quite nauseated. I know that can sometimes be a side effect, but it wouldn't start within two days of taking the pill, right? Either way, is there any way to get rid of this feeling? Any tips appreciated!!
Avatar f tn I've heard bad things about long term birth control so it's not something I'd use but that's my personal opinion

Avatar f tn started my period and it was very normal pains in all. i started taking birth control again the sunday after i started my period because that is what your instructed to do. a week after i started my birth control again i had light bleeding for just a few hours that day and that was it.
Avatar f tn Just make sure to thoroughly discuss your leg pain as many doctors are weary of leg pains, especially once on birth control, as they could be a blood clot indicator. As for if birth control would be more harmful than taking so many painkillers it would depend on your medical history and such but in general my gut instinct is that it wouldn't be. You and a doctor just have to find the right birth control for you.
Avatar f tn I would go to the doctor and find out why your period stopped after the birth control and why you had the bad pain in your ovary area. It could have been mittelschmerz, but it could also be something like a cyst.
Avatar f tn I am a 19 year old woman and I need some help. I stopped taking birth control in January and stopped getting my period since February. I stopped taking birth control because of my horrible mood swings it had caused, even the low hormone dose BC. I have taken multiple pregnancy tests and they are all negative. I don’t think I have had signs of pregnancy, but I also have never been pregnant. I get cramps.
Avatar f tn Have you been taking your birth control correctly? Have you been having regular periods? For you to be feeling kicks, you would need to be 4 or more months pregnant, depending on whether this is your first pregnancy or not. If it is your first, how do you know that it's a baby kicking? It could be a number of things causing this. Go see a doctor for blood work.

1319531 tn?1274315418 I'm 20 years old and I've never had a problem with my period before. However, a couple weeks ago I got my period 2 weeks early and I still have it. Now is about the time I SHOULD have gotten it. I have had cramping the entire time, but also my upper stomach has cramped up really bad too. I've had sharp pains and even woke up one morning because it hurt so bad.

Avatar f tn More than likely I'll be taking the pill until I turn 21 and qualify for permanent birth control. I've tried all of the different implants, and the shot, and they never worked out well with my body.

1472584 tn?1289778898 I was in tears because of the pain About 2 weeks later, I was outside at night, I started gushing blood out, I went to the bathroom and cleaned myself up and while taking a warm shower I started have stomach pains again so I sat in the tub. Lately, I been having the same stomach pains and throwing up because of the pain.. My doctor doesn't really help me with any of my problems.. so I haven't consulted him. Am I having a Miscarriage?
Avatar n tn My girlfriend had been on birth control for about two years. She always had her period on a saturday. Always. She had to stop taking the pills for a month (her prescription was messed up), but once she got her pills back, she didn't wait for her period to start before starting the pills. So my question is, would it be normal for her period to start on a saturday still? Because the period after she started the pills again started on a saturday and lasted for nine days.

Avatar f tn So this is my first time taking any form/kind of birth control so I'm still learning. My question is I just started my period but have 5 more pills left in my weekly pack. Do I continue taking my birth control so the pack is gone or stop taking that pack due to have started my period ? Obviously I know I start the new pack of birth control once I'm off this period.

Avatar f tn I have been taking birth control for 5 years, and recently went off on it about 2 months ago. My last period came a couple days late last month, and now I'm approaching the 3week mark from the last day of my last period. I have been having a little cramping but no nausea or breast tenderness. I took a pregnancy test and it came back negative. The guy I was having sex with had a vasectomy a few years ago so I figured we were ok for me to go off birth control.
