Avatar m tn while swallowing, i feel pain in the upper left part of throat and a little in my ear, what could this be?
Avatar m tn The weird thing is when this started, it would come and go in about 3 month intervals. I would only feel the pain while swallowing down my food. It seems the bigger and more solid the food, the more i would feel the pain. It's been now been 6 months and it's been getting worse. I'm starting to feel it hurt randomly throughout the day. I've also started to feel the same pain on the left side around the same spot as the right. Drinking coffee seems to aggravate the pain.

Avatar f tn t get all the help needed at the beginning of the pain and stomach acid due to certain instances while in the military, so it got worse.....
Avatar m tn It could be esophagitis or something more serious. Reflux of stomach acid can inflame the esophagus and when swallowing it burns in the chest where the esophagus is. It needs to be scoped (upper GI) to check it out. Just my thought - blessings to you.
1627868 tn?1333886342 Take note of any serious reflux pain, or spasms in the esophagus when swallowing, as this can cause ulcerations and scarring that need treatment. If it's "just" neurological, then you're doing everything you can already. I wish you well.
Avatar n tn Is it possible to have damage from stomach acid but never feel pain, have no symptoms and have no feedback from your body to let you know something is wrong? I apparently have damage, but these are my symptoms.
Avatar m tn I have dull stomach pain just below the sternum. It hurts worse when I'm getting hungry but scared to eat to much cause I been getting this feeling that I need to throw up everyone I eat a little too much. I used to be Abe to eat rice and pasta but now can't seem to digest it. It seems to get stuck around my upper rib area and then I eventually end up throwing my dinner up. On June 1st I weighed 203. As of today, October 19th, I weigh 162.

Avatar n tn Recently I started having sudden onset deep shoulder pain. I realized that my shoulder pain occurs everytime I eat, when the food reaches a certain area as it is going down. It is far down in my esaphogus when this occurs. There are also times that my food does not want to go down all the way and it takes a little time. What are your thoughts on this?

Avatar m tn doctor my grand mother have 93 age she have problem stomach swallowing she eat some food stomach full gas loaded and foot and hand and face swallowing what i do ....
Avatar f tn Stomach noises, even if you are not hungry can be pretty normal, but if this started all the sudden, you may want to head in for a check up. Sometimes it can be caused by something as simple as swallowing too much air while you are eating- but it can be signs of other issues, so check with your doctor to find the cause.
Avatar m tn I took several antibiotics courses and that got rid of the sinusitis but I am still having postnatal drip with clear mucus. Two months ago while i was taking the last course of antibiotics, I have belching, bloating, indigestion and a bit of difficult swallowing. So, I went to GI hospital and had endoscopy performed and tested for H. pylori. H. pylori clotest came back negative. They look at my esophagus and it was ok.
Avatar f tn For about ten days after the surgery I had impaired swallowing and no gag reflex (swallowing specialist saw me while still in the hospital.) so I was barely eating anything. my swallowing has improved enough that I am on a soft diet, which has caused a definate increase in these vomiting episodes. I am wondering if the spinal cord damage could be related to the problems in my GI tract.
Avatar f tn have any of you experienced sever pain in the epigastrium radiating to every part of your chest, difficulty of swallowing and the worst pain comes after eating or drinking....I'm 32 weeks now....
Avatar n tn First, I would recommend you see a Gastroenterologist if you have not already and get an endoscopy done. Another concern should be your weight; you are not at a proper weight for your height.
Avatar f tn I have been suffering some kind of constant stomach area pain for the past several weeks. It is right below my esophagus where it would be entering my stomach. I was having problems with swallowing a few weeks ago along with the pain. I could feel my food and beverage easing down my esophagus. I started taking 20 then after a bit of time 40 mg of Prilosec (normal dose is 20 mg) and that ended the swallowing issue but the stomach pain remained.

Avatar m tn I have begun to have problems swallowing, sharp pains, it feels like it shoots from my nodule down to my stomach, and if I burp it really hurts! I feel like my body is falling apart.
Avatar f tn You symptoms sound a lot like my gastroparesis. GP is the slow motility of the stomach while emptying. This can cause pain, bloating, feeling like your full all of the time, nausea, etc.I don't have trouble swallowing though. However, when they did the endoscopy they found the upper part of the stomach/esophagus had 3 small ulcers as a result of acid reflux which I hadn't complained about. GP is different with everyone.

Avatar f tn re triggered by acid reflux from a weak valve at the top of the stomach. My throat cramps up, and I get this horrible pain right at the solar plexus - feels like what I imagine a heart attack to be. So far, luckily, I haven't had any real problems swallowing. My throat locks up, and I have to think it into relaxing, but it usually works. The way I deal with the throat cramp is to drink a glass of warm water, slowly.
