Three years ago, while pregnant with my daughter I started to feel pain under my left rib cage. The docker thought it was her feet brushing against my ribs. Three years later, I am still in pain. Now the pain won't go away. I have had every test under the sun done. Endoscopy, colonoscopy, upper gi, stress test, heart ultra sound, EKG, five other types of ultrasounds ranging from uterus to spleen to gallbladder. I have had chest x rays too. Recently the pain is so bad sometimes it wakes me.
I have a moderate stomach cramping and stabbing pain under my ribcage. It comes and goes without warning, sometimes it is associated with naseau, sometimes not. It is very uncomfortable. In the past I have been diagnosed with cyclic vomiting disorder and abdominal migranes; however, this feels quite different.
d started moving my bowels everyday again but the pain is still there as well as pain in my upper back and by my left shoulder blade, the bottom of it and under my left armpit, sometimes the pain radiates into the chest and under the right rib but rarely. The pain is sometimes dull, and then changes to a small sharp pain and then to a very sharp sore pain. It's always there so it seems and it worries me.
2 weeks ago everything I would eat started giving me indigestion and my stomach started to spasm and cause pain under my upper left and right rib cage. I started taking prilosec and antacids about 6 days ago. Starting yesterday I became naucious and have lost my appitite. I am getting pain under my left and right rib cage. The pain seems to come and go and sometimes feels like it moves down my right side and spasms. I am going o the doctor tomorrow morning, what should I be expecting.
I have pain in my lower stomach and a lot of pressure and fullness on my left side under ribs for over one year. had an us today their is a cyst on my right ovary she didn't say how big. I also feel nauseus and tired alot and some times the pain goes dow my legs. i was just wondering if this could be caused by the cyst because the lady who did my us said that the pain in my left side under my ribs was not caused by the cysts snd it was probley my bowel.

But even before that i have had this pain in my lower left side of my stomach. I have had tests done and they have found nothing. The pain comes and goes. Usually after i eat something and walk around it gets very painful. I no there is obviously something going on. i just don't understand why they can't find anything. Could you possibly give me some answers?
I am 51, non smoker and been in fairly good health but been overweight by about 60 lbs. I have had a pain on the left side under rib cage for 3 years on and off. This past summer I changed my diet and lost 40 lbs and been doing fairly well. Pain went away until yesterday after a big and fatty Thanksgiving meal. I am returning to my diet! I have doing over 200 crunches for the past 3 months, some cardio exercises and stretches to keep a back pains away and strengthen my core.
Hi I am 33 y/o male. I've had left side pain (front near ribs/side) for the past 3 months now. The pain comes and goes, seems like it gets worse after I eat too much, sit in certain positions, lie in certain positions etc. CBC and urinalysis are normal. Ultrasound of stomach area didn't find anything abnormal.
What could this be? If it is muscle strain how come it isn't getting any better? Are there other explanations?
Not sure what to think. Left side below rib and left side of belly button has stabbing pains. Not constant. I have been nauseated for the last couple of days and my stomach has been upset.

I have recently stopped taking all pain medication and I feel everything. The lower left quadrant pain, upped left quadrant pain, and the upper right quadrant pain from the removal of my gallbladder. I experienced hot flashes and cold chills last night. This morning I had cold chills so bad that I had three blankets on, a hat, hoodie, and winter jacket on inside my house with the thermostat at 73 degrees. It took me over 4 hours to warm up.
Afterwards, when the diarrhea eases up, I get this pain on my left side just below the ribs (I believe it is right about where the top of my stomach/pancreas) is located. It is actually painful to the touch. Last night it woke me up. I felt around and found the exact spot which really hurt bad. I got up and took a tums. That worked. I went back to sleep, woke up this morning and the pain is gone, so is the soreness. So, what is that? Could it be a gas pocket?
I have the exact same thing; a popping sensation only on the lower left side, just under the rib. No real pain, but some tenderness. If I press with my fingers I will nearly always feel this movement, and it often appears as a chain of spasms that is visible under the skin. It started a week ago in connection with having the flu and heavy coughing, and now seems to be almost constant, especially when I sit down.
Thought I had kidney stone. Ck’d no Stones. Pain under rib. Pain is from under left rib to kidney. I am gassed up, with loose stool. I have slimy discharge anally. I’m wondering if it’s the ranitidine causing. Urologist has no clue. Reg Dr wants me to have colonoscopy. What is is, what do I do. I might go to area Hosp. ER tomorrow. Tied of constant pain. Father had cancers. My PSA was high recently. Please help. Pray for me.
I also get a dull aching under my left side Rib Cage. It is not there all the time. It comes very now and then. Today after my exercise and a meal after it was there again . An aching when I breath in. It hangs around for some time and then eventually goes away.
I wonder if this is a common complaint?
