I have been vomiting and my stomach hurts a lot I feel bloated.
The active ingredient, ibuprofen, is significantly lower in the childrens chewables than it is in "standard" ibuprofen tablets; the inactive ingredients will not cause any adverse effects. Consuming a childrens chewable is the EQUIVALENT to taking 1/2 a 200 mg ibuprofen pill. The reason the childrens chewables are not recommended for adult use is that there are many medicial conditions that exist in adults, and not in children, in which it could be DANGEROUS to take ibuprofen, e.g.
Took a boatload of ibuprofen (under 2400 mg/day) to supplement darvocet while recovering from total knee replacement. My stomach is killing me now. What can I do to relieve the pain in my upper stomach?
I know that some of you may take ibuprofen when taking a DMD to help with the flu like side effects - but what I am wondering is for those who are undiagnosed or not taking a DMD - can ibuprofen help with symptoms? I stay away from ibuprofen because of my acid reflux - but have taken it a few times when tylenol just doesn't seem to help my headaches. I have noticed that the ibuprofen helps.
pumped my stomach, while I just sat there with tears streaming down from the pain of the stomach pump! Anyone out there, if you KNOW there is NOTHING in your stomach, (I did not have food, meds, water, ANYTHING for 48 hrs) never agree to have your stomach pumped! The nurse was furious at the Dr., and said later that it is the most painful procedure to have done, while you are awake, and it is totally unneccesary! I was so mad later, and reported him.
2. Could Ibuprofen really irritate the stomach that much and could the symptoms for that be nausea? 3. Any other tests I should ask about at the GI Dr appointment? I am prone to anxiety so can't stop thinking that something is really wrong with me. Also worry about 2 yrs of Protonix use. Thank you very much for your help!
In the last few weeks, usally on the weekends only, i have moderate pain, in my stomach. Also some feeling in my throat like food is not going down, or acid feeling somtimes. For the last six months I have been having this burning, crampy pain in my stomach. It makes me feel like I want to vomit and belch. But mostly, it is a real bad burning pain. This all started after I was exposed to my mother in law who has H.Pylori. Then, I started having a couple of drinks two nights a week ( either a couple of beers or a couple of Strawberry daiquiris). My stomach has always been very weak and bothersome to me anyhow.
Are you sure the pain is in your stomach? A little to the left of the stomach is the pancreas, and to the right in a large area is the liver.
If you are still taking the Ibuprofen, I would suggest that you stop taking it as it is not helping you. Also Ibuprofen can cause stomach problems and some people are not able to take it because of adverse side effects. Ibuprofen is not a pain reliever, it is an anti-inflammatory drug. For pain relief you would be better off taking normal pain relief medications like paracetamol, taking the dosage as recommended on the packet.
Hey everyone, I'm a 50 yr old female and on last Thursday night, I had this really terrible pain in my stomach (mid-upper area above belly button). After I woke up the pain subsided but kept on persisting. It's been 5 days with persistent pain with that horrible pain coming and going. My stomach also feels and appears to be bloated and yet, it also feels like it's empty at times. I also have been feeling a bit nauseous; I keep hearing growling too. I haven't had any problems with stools though.
Any wine or just red wine? Can you describe symptoms after trying wine? Only pain in the stomach or...? Headache? I am a fifteen year old female and I've had excrutiating pain in my upper stomach since about October (or so) or 2008. The pain is just below my breast bone, in my upper stomach. Sometimes the pain also hits me in the center of my chest. Lately, it's been getting worse. More on the pain...When I find myself in a stressful situation, the pain spikes. This has happened two or three times in the past two years, and each time it happens I feel as though I'm going to pass out from the pain.
A few months ago, she was put on Omeprazole and after 2 weeks of bad upper stomach pain, she stopped taking it. The problems have resided a bit, but has had pain and nausea every since. After many tests, all coming out normal, she still has not found an answer. The doctors don't have a clue what is wrong, but she believes the omeprazole caused some sort of infection and will be going on antibiotics this week to see if it will help.
I've had just about every side effect in the book and then some, and I haven't needed any opiate based pain killers. Ibuprofen, acetaminophen, naproxen, anti-histamines, moisturizing lotions, sleep aids (lunesta), anti-depressants and prednisone? Saure. But opiates? Nah. Treatment usually causes fatigue, exhaustion, irritability, insomnia, mental confusion, depression, hair loss, itching, skin rash, dandruff, psoriasis, anemia, neutropenia etc etc.
Hi everyone, I am a fourteen year old guy and I'm in good shape as I play basketball 4-5 days a week. For the past couple days I've been getting sharp pains in my stomach almost immediately after physical activity. I'm wondering if you guys have any ideas on why this would happen. Also, I eat well and hydrate during the activity. Thanks.
For a few years I have been having intense pain in my stomach/abdominal area after I play soccer and/or run untill I'm very tired. I started going to my doctor first when I was thirteen about this and she has not the slightest idea what is going on. I read the tag about stomach pains after tennis and my syptoms sound very similar. I am in good shape and exercise regulairly, and it only happens on random days spread by weeks of no problems, and it only happens when I push myself to my limits.

Before all those symptoms came up my friend had complained about fever, body pain, a blocked nose and a dry cough. He was given azithromycin, fexofenadine, ibuprofen und paracetamol. What do you think? We are very grateful for any advice.
It can be very normal for a women to experience these symptoms every time they are on their period. Some pain pills (ibuprofen is good) and a heat pack on your stomach should help. Some women find that going birth control can help with their periods - making them lighter and much less painful (pain free for many) so it could be worth seeing your doctor.
About 11 days ago, i had a severe stomach/abdomen ache right below my ribs. and the pain felt almost like cramps and deep [ on a scale of 1-10 10 being severe, it was a 8 ] . John- Hello. I am suffering from similar symptoms as you. I have pain in my right testicle, right side lower back, and all down my leg. I know what you're going through with the testicle pain as it can be scary. I've had an ultrasound on all of my urinary and reproductive systems with nothing found. I originally thought I had a hernia but that was negative as well. I've had 4 different mri's of my back which revealed a herniated L5 disc.
Following a procedure in which some of my nerves were removed from my groin (to reduce the pain symptoms), I developed new and more serious pain. All told, I have undergone 8 major surgeries, numerous nerve block injections, every painkiller in the book (literally!!), all types of treatment, and now…I have a nerve stimulator implanted in my abdomen with lead wires placed above my testicles in my pubic region.
She said at the first sign of her period take two aleeve and two ibuprofen. That worked for two months now she has stomach pain constantly and has missed a ton of school. Last week I took her in again, this time they did an X-ray and found she was terribly constipated. Started her on Myralx and suppositories to clear her out. She has been having bowel movements but SO much pain. I had her back two days ago and the Dr said its still constipation and keep her on the Myralax.
Okay, so I guess I should start from the beginning so that you have an understanding of everything thats going on. Last year I was sick with various viruses, mostly stomach bugs that came and went, however they were frequent (once or twice a month). Among my year of sickness, I went to the emergency room in June for testicular pain and a fever. I was diagnosed with epididymitis and given prescription antibiotics and it went away. January it came back, pain, fever, body aches.
