Pepto-Bismol is an over-the-counter drug used for treatment of nausea, heartburn, indigestion, upset stomach, diarrhoea, and other temporary discomforts of the stomach and gastrointestinal tract. Ginger ale is often used as a home remedy to alleviate indigestion or motion sickness. Hence you can take them and once you feel slightly better you can get antacids and anti-emetics form the pharmacy. Hope this helps. The answer is based on information provided.
Ginger is an herb used for centuries to treat stomach upsets and especially to calm nausea. You can drink ginger tea hot or cold, whichever makes you feel better. Ginger not only helps reduce nausea, it soothes a sore stomach, helps lower fevers and breaks up congestion and coughing due to flu or the common cold. Ginger can thin the blood. If you take blood thinning medicines, consult your health practitioner before using ginger in medicinal doses.
It has been a day by day struggle with these symptoms which are for the most part constant. Abdominal pain, nausea(but I don't vomit just always feels as if I need to), Issues swallowing( I feel like something is in the way), hacking up foam and once a yellow sour liquid, constipation, Horrible bloating and abdominal pain when making most bowl movements.
Yes, anxiety and depression will contribute, but I also agree with the post above. I deal with anxiety and depression myself, so I know it's only part of the picture. Do ask about this test. One home remedy you can try is making a decoction (a way of making tea from roots and seeds) with ginger root. It is easy to make and inexpensive. It either works for you or it doesn't, but at least it isnt outrageously expensive like the Zofran is.
It's (seemingly) fine. For a little while I had all the expected stomach issues--slight nausea, looser stools (yay), feeling a bit funky. Then that cleared up. I still have the strange feeling in my leg--it's traveled down my calf as well. I'm seeing Dr. Laya next week so I haven't bothered to call anyone, since the feeling comes and goes. I wish I was imagining it, but I'm not.
Been going through a rough patch and never really had to deal with the nausea and stomach pain etc in the 15 + yrs of dealing with anxiety. The fluids definitely helps. I will do what you said about buying things I like. Therapy is great as for the longest time I didn't have it and I got tired of just seeing a psychiatrist and getting meds. I prefer to get to the root of why anxiety at all or at the very least work on triggers of it.The mind can mess with you sometimes that's for sure...
For the past five years, I have pain under my left rib, nausea, the pain radiates on the left side, sometimes to the side of my head. I've had an endoscopy and a colonoscopy, and a scan, all they've seen irritation of the stomach lining and that's it. Prevacid etc do not help. I've tried every remedy under the sun, to no avail. I am a 57 year old female, and i am so sick of being sick. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.
Your doctor can have a Gastric Empty Scan done to see how much time it takes for the food to empty from your daughters stomach. Delayed emptying can cause the early satiety and nausea. Try mashed banana's for potassium and Gatorade to help prevent dehydration. Keeping potassium levels up is very important. There are medications that can help motility of the stomach wich may help symptoms. Use caution before taking Propulsid if its prescribed (ask Dr. about recent warning).
I too am having these symptoms and found this site through a google search for the symptoms. For about 3-4 weeks I've had neck pain, lower back pain, nausea, some stomach pain, and general tiredness or lack of energy. I have been traveling a fair amount for my job and attributed it to that but I'm not sure. It seems the nausea is a result of the pain... when I move a certain way and feel the pain, I get nauseous right afterward.
For more burning type pain, like acid reflux, the home remedy I hear most often is apple cider vinegar (1 T in 8 oz water, add honey and lemon juice to taste). Hello every one. I am wondering if anyone has found a remedy for "nervous stomach" my husband and I both have it terribly. Every time we are stressed or anxious or there is change we can hardly eat, we have pain and bloating and cramping and nausea. We are amidst a move out of state right now so stress levels are high, and although my husband can sleep anytime I have difficulty sleeping when I'm stressed (hence writing this at 4 AM).

At the time I thought it tasted delicious but boy have I suffered since. Bouts of acid reflux, nausea and a variety of pains from my stomach to my intsetines, some of which refer into my back. In addition I generally feel unwell, not quite myself if you know what I mean, like somethings out of kilter.
Supplement wise, digestive enzyme supplements help with digestion (can be used for high and low stomach acid) and betaine HCI with pepsin increases stomach acid. Apple cider vinegar is a old home remedy to help with low stomach acid.
This is to help chronic stomach pain sufferers I had Gastric bypass rRNY IN SEPT 1997, I have experienced on an off stabbing stomach pains ever since. The one thing that does work is 1 TBSP RAW APPLECIDER vinegar( must be raw and not processed) with about 4 oz of water drink and it quickly and it goes away instantly. Sometimes u have to repeat it several times a day but it has kept me able to work and live after surgery, I keep a mixture in a water bottle with me at all times.
Ever since then the thought of food, or trying to eat is a very unplesant thing. At first I thought it was just my stomach recovering from the poisoning; but now I'm quite worried I have a serious problem. I am trying to see a physician as soon as I can, unfortunately I don't have health insurance at the moment, so I'm avoiding doctors like the plague. So, I suppose I'm just asking if theres any other symptoms I should be watching out for... or anything I can do.
I have been experiencing very mild, but noticible nausea around the time I ovulate and again right before, during and after my period. It is not all the time during the day, but feels very strange and unusual and has consistently come and gone during these times. I would think I were pregnant if it had not been going on for a few months and if I had not had regular, heavy periods. We are trying to get pregnant and I wonder if something is out of balance with hormones?
I can deal with the reflux but I can not go on with the nausea. The problem in my lower stomach is usually caused by gastric bypass surgery. I have had no surgeries on my stomach except a hysterectomy that I had in 1998. How can I find a doctor that will give me options for the valve in my lower stomach. Christmas night the spasms in my stomach, intestines, or colon, (i don't know which it was). all I know is that was the most pain I can ever remember being in.
after the detox I started to introduce the foods I had given up on for those 30 days, after a week I felt myself slipping back to how I was and the raw stomach pain, nausea and tiredness returned, I have now modified my diet in order to avoid the foods that where poisoning my system, and although not perfect as with the detox I am doing better.

I just wanted to tell you that, until you find out what is wrong with you and you get that fixed, there is a natural remedy that has been used for centuries to help with nausea. Ginger. Go to the health food store. Buy ginge capsules. Make sure there are no other ingredients in the capsules but ginger. Also, buy some candied ginger. Dried ginger that has been rolled in sugar. Again, there should only be two ingredients in this...dried ginger and sugar.
I have pain on left side of stomach. If i starve I will decrease the pain and if I eat will increase the pain. The pain will only be activated when I am supposed to go to sleep and decreases when I am supposed to wake up. When the pain is activated, I urinate a lot but in only just a few drops. Can you explain what is going on with this pain. Thank You!
I, too, had lesions in my esophagus and GERD. I was prescribed Dexilant 60mg daily, which heals the lesions. I still take Dexilant and have had no GERD in a long time. Since you have run the gamut of testing, I wonder if you have food allergies. There is a simple way to test yourself: Start keeping a ledger/list of everything you eat and drink throughout the day.
5mg/3 times a day is a very low dose of Buspar actually the lowest. Buspar is a great medication for panic attacks and helps control them. It takes a good 4 weeks for Buspar to have a full effect. If after 4 weeks it seems to not be helping then talk with your doctor about increasing your dosage. Stay positive...
I was meant to be having a night away with my boyfriend and as we have had to cancel about 3 holidays, 2 family parties and the whole of xmas die to my nausea and stomach troubles i had to try and get through the 2 days away.
